Chapter 02

Comfort and firmness: which mattress fits you

Why this matters to you: Feel names are the brand's words, not measurements. Use them to shortlist two or three beds, then let your body decide.

Side sleepers: Ultimate Comfort or Ultimate Comfort Hybrid in Soft or Medium, or Gel Comfort Hybrid in Soft, for gel-memory contour and pressure relief. Back sleepers: Ultimate models in Medium or Firm, or Natural Comfort latex in Medium or Firm, for alignment plus support. Stomach sleepers: Simply Comfort Firm or Dreamscape firmer coil feel for the firmest published options.

Hot sleepers: gel-memory models (Gel, Ultimate, Gel Hybrid, Ultimate Hybrid) or breathable latex models (Natural, Natural Hybrid), all marketed as sleeps-cool and breathable; no published cooling-test data as of Sept 2026. Couples: any hybrid with pocket coils for motion separation, especially Ultimate Comfort Hybrid. Kids, guests and occasional use: Simply Comfort, explicitly positioned for minimal use with only a 1-year warranty.

Odd shapes, Murphy beds, tilt beds and slide-outs: any base model plus the $100 hinge and/or $50 radius-corner options with buyer-confirmed measurements. Heavier sleepers: thicker builds (10-12 inch) and hybrids with coil bases; weight limits are not published as of Sept 2026.

Which Comfort RV feel fits you?

Weight chart not yet researched

Weight and sleep position can change how a bed feels. We have not yet checked whether Comfort RV publishes a fit chart by body weight, so use a trial, where one is offered, to test the bed the way you sleep at home.

Four alignment checkpoints against a neutral posture line Neck Shoulders Lower back Hips level with spine sink in, no pinch no gap below no sag Straight spine line
  1. Neck: on your side, your nose should line up with the middle of your chest, not tip up or down.
  2. Shoulders: your bottom shoulder should sink in. Tingling or a numb arm means the bed is too firm for you.
  3. Lower back: on your back, slide a flat hand under your waist. A big gap means too firm; no room at all can mean too soft.
  4. Hips: ask someone to look from the side. Hips lower than shoulders means the bed is too soft for you.
Figure 2.1: Four checks to run in a store, lying still in the position you sleep in most. The store test in chapter 11 says how long to lie on each bed.

Mattress prices and value

Why this matters to you: A starting price can rise with size, base and delivery. Get the full price for your size in writing before you choose.

Sale price bands seen Sept 2026 on official product pages: Simply Comfort $1,195-$1,395; Gel Comfort $1,295-$1,495; Natural Comfort $1,395-$1,995; Ultimate Comfort $1,395-$1,695; Dreamscape $1,595-$1,795; Gel Comfort Hybrid $1,695-$1,895; Natural Comfort Hybrid $1,795-$1,995; Ultimate Comfort Hybrid $1,795-$2,095. Upcharges: taller heights plus $100-$300, Soft feel plus $200 on several models, radius corners plus $50, hinge plus $100.

A Summer Sleep Sale banner advertised up to 35 percent off.

Value read: premium pricing versus mass-market RV mattresses, positioned as paying for made-to-order USA customization (sizes, heights, firmness, hinges, corners) rather than materials transparency, since foam densities and coil counts are unpublished; the 1-year Simply and 3-year Dreamscape warranties are short for the price, while the 15-year Ultimate foam warranty is the strongest value signal.

How well do the mattresses hold up?

Why this matters to you: A mattress is a long buy. Lean on the written warranty and real owner reports to judge how it will last.

No independent durability testing found as of Sept 2026. Structural signals: high-density foam cores across foam lines; gel-latex-blend and latex comfort layers on upper models; pocketed coils with reinforced foam edge encasement on hybrids and Dreamscape; flat (never roll-packed) LTL freight shipping, which the brand says protects lifespan.

Policy signals: warranties scale with build tier from 1 year (Simply) to 15 years (Ultimate foam), suggesting expected lifespan ranking. Sag-depth threshold detail: warranty excludes normal wear under two inches. Care guidance includes an RV mattress care guide and installation guide on site; full foundation and slat-spacing specs: Not published as of Sept 2026.

Sleep trials, returns, exchanges and fees

Why this matters to you: Feel is hard to judge in a store or in a week. Know your exit plan and its cost before you pay.

Sleep trial: none. The FAQ page states plainly that no trial period is offered due to customized made-to-order products. Returns and exchanges: not accepted; the return policy states the company does not accept returns for mattresses, toppers or bedding because production begins on order, with exceptions only for defective or damaged items via customer service.

Cancellation: policies contradict each other as of Sept 2026 -- the return-policy page and FAQ allow cancellation within 24 hours of ordering, while the standalone cancellation-policy page states the company does not accept any order cancellations at this time, including after purchase. Fees: no restocking schedule is published; warranty transport costs are buyer-paid. Confirm cancellation terms in writing before ordering.

Delivery, setup and old-mattress removal

Why this matters to you: Delivery terms decide your first week with the bed. Confirm the date, setup and old-bed removal before you pay.

Made to order with 2-3 weeks production stated on product pages (Ultimate Hybrid page states a current 3-week lead time). Ships flat via LTL common-carrier freight (carriers named include FedEx Freight, AAA Cooper and Southeastern Freight Lines); never rolled or bent. Homepage and blog advertise Free US Shipping; per-shipment freight costs are not itemized on the shipping page.

Residential delivery is curbside only by appointment with an adult 18 or older present within 1-3 business days of terminal arrival; storage fees after 3 business days fall to the customer. RV-park delivery goes to the front office or gate, not the lot. No inside delivery, unpacking or installation; drivers do not unpackage or install.

Bedding ordered with a mattress ships in the same box. Old-mattress removal: Not published as of Sept 2026.

Typical wait: 1 to 3 business days

What do the warranties cover?

Why this matters to you: A warranty is only as good as its terms. Read the written terms and use a supported base, because the wrong frame can end coverage.

Per-model limited warranties stated on the warranty page and product pages: Simply Comfort 1 year; Dreamscape Comfort 3 years; Gel Comfort 5 years; Gel Comfort Hybrid 5 years; Cool Comfort 5 years and Cool Comfort Hybrid 5 years (warranty-page listings only); Natural Comfort Hybrid 7 years; Natural Comfort 10 years; Ultimate Comfort Hybrid 10 years; Ultimate Comfort 15 years.

Coverage: internal and structural or manufacturer defects only, from date of receipt, mattresses only (no toppers or bedding). Excludes cover, fabric, quilting and borders; soil, stains, tears, rips, water or liquid damage; normal wear under two inches; and damage from improper foundation, support, storage, steam cleaning, chemicals or modifications.

Shipping and transport for warranty service are not covered; the customer must bring the mattress to the factory for repair. Claim steps beyond contacting the office by phone or email: Not published as of Sept 2026.

Measuring a mattress dip with a straight edge and a ruler Straight edge across the bed Dip depth Mattress, nobody lying on it

Covered when the dip is deeper than Under two inches excluded, measured with nobody on the bed.

  1. Strip the bed down to the mattress and wait a few hours so the top layers can recover.
  2. Lay a straight edge (a broom handle or long level) across the dip, resting on the flat parts.
  3. Measure from the edge down to the deepest point, then photograph the ruler for your claim.

Customer reviews and complaints

Why this matters to you: Star ratings depend on who posts and where. Read the low-star reviews for patterns, not just the average.

On-site reviews: product pages show no star ratings or written reviews, and no star ratings or written reviews were extractable as of Sept 2026. Third-party scores (Google, BBB, Trustpilot, Yelp, Facebook): Not published as of Sept 2026. Brand touts over 45 years of RV industry experience and customer example photos, but verifiable review volume could not be confirmed.

Likely complaint themes based on published policies: no trial or returns on custom orders, contradictory cancellation terms, 2-3 week production waits, curbside-only freight delivery, and buyer-responsible warranty transport to the Florida factory.

Chapter 10

What are the mattresses made of?

Why this matters to you: Layer names say little without numbers. Ask what is inside your exact model, layer by layer.

Foam lines: high-performance high-density foam cores and support layers; Gel lines add cool gel-infused memory foam; Ultimate lines add a gel latex foam blend second layer; Natural lines use organic latex foam; tops are quilted damask, smooth or pillow-top depending on model. Hybrid and Dreamscape lines: individually wrapped pocket coils with foam edge-support encasement under foam or latex comfort layers.

The brand states mattresses are handcrafted and custom-made to order in Florida, USA, shipped flat and never roll-packed, with fabric and pattern subject to substitution. Foam densities, ILDs, coil counts and gauges, latex blend percentages, and CertiPUR-US, GOTS, GOLS, GREENGUARD or similar certifications: Not published as of Sept 2026.

Chapter 12

Comfort RV vs. other mattress brands

Why this matters to you: A fair comparison needs the same facts for both beds. Line up price, trial and warranty for each one.

Vs American RV Mattress: Comfort RV wins on model breadth (eight lines plus dual-comfort and hinged options) and a longer top warranty (15 vs 10 years); loses on trial (none vs 60 nights) and returns. Vs Adventure RV Mattress: Comfort RV wins on latex and gel-latex-blend options; loses on trial length and published review volume.

Vs Tochta: Comfort RV wins on lower starting prices and simpler lineup; loses on European-style customization depth and published specifications. Vs Dynasty Mattress RV: Comfort RV wins on USA made-to-order story and flat (not roll-packed) freight; loses on budget assortment breadth and marketplace availability.

Vs standard bed-in-box brands: Comfort RV wins on true RV sizes, hinges and radius corners; loses on trial, returns, setup services and spec transparency.

More brand reviews to compare: Comfort King, Comfort Option, Comfort Pure, Comfort Sleep Bedding, Comfort Tech, ComfortMade Mattress Factory.

Competitor details reflect published prices and specs on the date shown. Mattress brands may update prices and trial terms over time.
Chapter 13

How we research and report

This page is an early draft built from our research sheet for Comfort RV. We read the brand's own pages and public listings, and we do not test mattresses ourselves. Fields marked "Not yet researched" are still being checked.

We reviewed Comfort RV (Comfort RV Mattresses) in Sept 2026 from official pages first: the homepage, all eight live product pages, category pages, and the warranty, shipping, return-policy, cancellation-policy, FAQ, about-us, why-choose-us and know-the-difference pages, cross-checking model names, constructions, price ranges, option upcharges, warranty years and policy fine print including the 24-hour versus no-cancellation contradiction.

Key sources: comfortrvmattresses.com store, warranty, shipping, return-policy, cancellation-policy, faqs and contact pages. No third-party review scores were found, so review fields are labeled rather than filled and no ratings are claimed.

Is Comfort RV an RV-only brand?

Yes. It builds custom RV mattresses (plus RV toppers, bedding and adjustable bases) in sizes like RV Short Queen, RV King, splits and full customs, not standard home mattresses.

Which model is the bestseller?

The Ultimate Comfort RV foam mattress is badged bestseller and most popular, customizable 6-12 inches with a 15-year warranty at $1,395-$1,695.

Is there a sleep trial or returns?

No. There is no trial period and custom-made mattresses, toppers and bedding are not returnable; only defective or damaged items get customer-service assistance.

Can I cancel my order?

Terms conflict: the return page and FAQ allow cancellation within 24 hours, while the cancellation page says no cancellations are accepted, so confirm in writing before paying.

How are mattresses delivered?

Made to order in 2-3 weeks and shipped flat (never rolled) by LTL freight with curbside-only drop-off; no inside setup and no old-mattress removal.

Are Comfort RV and Comfort RV Mattresses the same company?

Yes. Both names refer to the same Plantation, Florida custom builder at comfortrvmattresses.com and phone 954-451-5140.
