Airpedic is the adjustable-air division of Custom Comfort Mattress, handcrafted in America. Its nine air beds, from the 500 to the 1200, pair zoned medical-grade air chambers with gel foam. The flagships add latex, and a Bluetooth remote tunes your lumbar support. It's a good fit if you have back pain, or you're looking at Sleep Number and want multi-zone support and cooling. A 120-night trial backs it. You can't try one in a store, and you'll pay a prorated share on warranty claims after year 2.

Key Strengths
Back-pain shoppers who want separately adjustable shoulder, lumbar and leg zones
Airpedic is a strong fit if you want separately adjustable firmness for shoulders, lumbar and legs on each side, plus foams you can feel before air adjusts. Couples with different needs, back and side sleepers needing lumbar control, hot sleepers wanting vented covers and airflow, and shoppers preferring USA-made factory-direct over retail.
Less ideal if you want a cheap bed-in-a-box, innerspring bounce, in-store tryouts, or included white-glove haul-away.

Chapter 02
Comfort and firmness: which mattress fits you
Why this matters to you: Feel names are the brand's words, not measurements. Use them to shortlist two or three beds, then let your body decide.
Back sleepers needing lumbar lift: 500, 650 or 800 with firmer lumbar zone.
Side sleepers needing shoulder-hip relief: 700, 1000, 1100 or 1200 Plush/Super Plush with softer shoulder zone.
Stomach sleepers: 500 Firm.
Couples: any Split King or Split-Top King for independent sides; 800, 850, 1000 popular per site reviews.
Hot sleepers: 800, 850, 1000 Kool-Flow bamboo plus gel; 1100 and 1200 add natural latex and Airflow Transfer System.
Larger bodies or adjustable-base users: all models claim adjustable-base compatibility with notched rail flex; reinforced edge and I-beam center support.

Which Airpedic feel fits you?
Weight chart not yet researched
Weight and sleep position can change how a bed feels. We have not yet checked whether Airpedic publishes a fit chart by body weight, so use a trial, where one is offered, to test the bed the way you sleep at home.
Neck: on your side, your nose should line up with the middle of your chest, not tip up or down.
Shoulders: your bottom shoulder should sink in. Tingling or a numb arm means the bed is too firm for you.
Lower back: on your back, slide a flat hand under your waist. A big gap means too firm; no room at all can mean too soft.
Hips: ask someone to look from the side. Hips lower than shoulders means the bed is too soft for you.
Figure 2.1: Four checks to run in a store, lying still in the position you sleep in most. The store test in chapter 11 says how long to lie on each bed.

How well do the mattresses hold up?
Why this matters to you: A mattress is a long buy. Lean on the written warranty and real owner reports to judge how it will last.
6-chamber zoned urethane air cores with welded seams and I-beam bracing are engineered to avoid the single-bladder hammock sag and to hold spinal alignment, with foam-compression coverage stated in warranty. One 5-year owner review of the 1000 cited lasting comfort. No published durability lab data, sag-depth test results, annual survival rates, or foam-density figures found; body impressions under 1.5in are warranty-excluded as normal.
Long-term reliability beyond brand reviews: Not published as of Sept 2026.

What do the warranties cover?
Why this matters to you: A warranty is only as good as its terms. Read the written terms and use a supported base, because the wrong frame can end coverage.
20-year limited mattress and foundation warranty from original purchase, non-prorated years 1-2 then prorated buyer share rising from 30pct in year 3 to 65pct year 10 and 90pct years 15-20; air pump 10 years prorated after 2 years; adjustable bases: warranty length differs between pages; confirm with the brand.
Covers serviceable cover, edge-tape stitching, foam crumbling or deforming, base breakage, rubber-core seam defects, including foam compression. Excludes under-1.5in impressions, comfort preference, stains, misuse, non-approved support, wall-hugging base pairing, transit or installer damage. Airpedic vs. other mattress brands
Why this matters to you: A fair comparison needs the same facts for both beds. Line up price, trial and warranty for each one.
Vs Sleep Number: Airpedic claims 3 zones per side (6 chambers) with independent lumbar vs single-bladder, 8,836 posture settings, 84 remote settings, latex and CertiPUR-US domestic foams, welded antimicrobial urethane, airflow ventilation, reinforced edge, no-assembly arrival, factory-direct pricing, 120-night trial and 20-year warranty with 2 years non-prorated and foam-compression cover. Rival trial/warranty numbers not shown on brand chart.
Vs Saatva, Nectar and Boyd Night Air: dedicated comparison stubs exist at https://airpedic.com/compare-airpedic/ but treat as brand-claimed only. Independent head-to-head testing: Not published as of Sept 2026.

How we research and report
This page is an early draft built from our research sheet for Airpedic. We read the brand's own pages and public listings, and we do not test mattresses ourselves. Fields marked "Not yet researched" are still being checked.
We checked the official WooCommerce catalog, all nine product pages, About, FAQ, Reviews, Warranty Information, Terms, Shipping Policy, Sleep Trial, Sleep Number Alternative and cooling pages first, then looked for retailer and independent review coverage. We recorded only stated prices, heights, feels, layer names, trial, warranty and contact facts, separating brand claims from outside findings.
Where pages failed to extract or facts were absent we marked Not published as of Sept 2026 rather than inferring. Sources include https://airpedic.com/, https://airpedic.com/shop/, nine product pages, /about-us/, /reviews/, /warranty-information/, /airpedic-faq/.
