The 30-Second Verdict: Quick Summary

Easy Rest isn't a mattress brand you can buy today. It was a Baltimore maker of US-built adjustable beds, founded in 2007. It bundled its own adjustable mattresses with each base. The lineup was Platinum, Premier, Harmony, Classic and Economy. It sold only by phone and in-home demonstration. Since 2025, easyrest.com has been a sleep and mattress editorial site. It says it no longer sells beds. If you're researching an older bed, the terms below are historical.

Chapter 01

Is Easy Rest the best mattress for you?

Good fit, historically: buyers who wanted a US-made adjustable-bed-and-mattress system delivered, set up and serviced at home - people with acid reflux or GERD, edema or leg swelling, poor leg circulation, mild arthritis and joint pain, low back pain, asthma or breathing trouble lying flat, post-surgery recovery and senior sleepers - and who accepted an appointment-based, financed purchase with no returns.

Good fit today: nobody, because there is no mattress to buy. Poor fit: trial-dependent shoppers (no in-home trial, no returns, all sales final), price shoppers (no prices ever published), spec-checkers (no foam densities, one published coil spec, no size chart, no third-party lab testing found), showroom shoppers (no retail stores found) and online buyers (no checkout, phone and in-home appointments only).

Chapter 02

Comfort and firmness: which mattress fits you

Why this matters to you: Feel names are the brand's words, not measurements. Use them to shortlist two or three beds, then let your body decide.

Published positioning targeted side and back sleepers and people advised to elevate the head or legs: acid reflux and GERD, edema or swelling of the legs, poor local leg circulation, mild arthritis and joint pain, low back pain, post-surgical recovery, asthma or difficulty breathing while lying flat, and seniors. Couples wanting individual positioning without separate beds were the target for the split-top Harmony.

The company claimed 1,001 comfort positions, gentle heat and vibration massage as temporary relief for those conditions. What is missing for a genuine sleep-needs match: no firmness scale, no weight ratings, no foam densities or ILDs, no guidance for stomach sleepers, no independent testing by any mattress-review lab, and no trial or return path - so a shopper today cannot verify suitability, and cannot buy the bed at all.

Weight chart not yet researched

Weight and sleep position can change how a bed feels. We have not yet checked whether Easy Rest publishes a fit chart by body weight, so use a trial, where one is offered, to test the bed the way you sleep at home.

Four alignment checkpoints against a neutral posture line Neck Shoulders Lower back Hips level with spine sink in, no pinch no gap below no sag Straight spine line
  1. Neck: on your side, your nose should line up with the middle of your chest, not tip up or down.
  2. Shoulders: your bottom shoulder should sink in. Tingling or a numb arm means the bed is too firm for you.
  3. Lower back: on your back, slide a flat hand under your waist. A big gap means too firm; no room at all can mean too soft.
  4. Hips: ask someone to look from the side. Hips lower than shoulders means the bed is too soft for you.

Chapter 03

Compare the mattresses

Why this matters to you: Models from one brand can differ in feel, height and layers. Match the feel label and height to how you sleep before you compare prices.

Easy Rest lists 5 models. Feel names are the brand's labels.

Every model was sold as a complete sleep system - adjustable base plus an Easy Rest adjustable mattress - never as a mattress-only product, and each mattress was sized to the base. Platinum: top of the line; choice of two luxury mattress inserts; exclusive Whisper Power lift motors; wireless backlit hand control with four-position memory; variable-speed therapeutic massage; wall-hugger feature.

Premier: step-down model; choice of three premium mattress inserts; Whisper Power motors; wireless hand control with three-position memory; variable-speed massage.

Harmony: the newest model and the only one with a published mattress build; split-top design so couples keep independent head and foot control while still sleeping together; 13-inch mattress built with 12.5-gauge, 660 foam-encased pocketed offset coil springs and a pillow-top section adding 1.5 inches of Omalon foam plus 1.5 inches of latex foam under an ultra-plush stretch-knit fabric; Whisper Power motors raising the bed to a 70-degree upright angle; massage motor with variable intensity, rolling-wave speed and a 30-minute auto-off timer; backlit wireless hand control saving three positions with one-touch flat.

Classic: the value model; medium-firm mattress; standard lift motors; wired hand control; two-speed therapeutic massage. Economy: entry model, and the company's own 2014 comparison table lists it with two luxury mattress inserts, Whisper Power motors, a wireless four-position-memory control, variable-speed massage and the wall-hugger feature,.

Across the line the mattress could be ordered with an ultra-plush pressure-relieving latex topper or the exclusive memory reflex foam topper; sizes were described only as all standard sizes for individuals and couples. Exact dimensions, firmness ratings, layer stacks for models other than Harmony, and coil counts for other models: Not published as of Sept 2026.

Mattress prices and value

Why this matters to you: A starting price can rise with size, base and delivery. Get the full price for your size in writing before you choose.

Easy Rest never published prices. Its pricing page said only that prices may vary by distributor and that pricing depends on the adjustable bed model and options selected, with a model available for every budget, and it pushed a free catalog, a phone number (800-217-5206) and flexible payment options instead of numbers.

Marketing leaned on promotions - a buy-one-get-one fall sale, a Platinum buy-one-get-one offer where the second bed was free, and a monthly sweepstakes giving away a free Classic bed (suspended during COVID-19) - and financing was available; the company received a Diamond Certification in 2014 from Preferred Credit, Inc., a consumer-finance company that cited its sales volume, customer service and low complaint level.

One customer testimonial argued the quality difference versus local stores far outweighed the cost difference, and another said the bed had a very decent price the family could afford. No dollar figure, no price range and no value comparison against named competitors is published, so price and value are Not published as of Sept 2026.

Chapter 05

How well do the mattresses hold up?

Why this matters to you: A mattress is a long buy. Lean on the written warranty and real owner reports to judge how it will last.

Officially, hold-up confidence rests on the warranty rather than on testing. Easy Rest offered a limited lifetime warranty on all motors on its most popular models, a 20-year pro-rated limited mattress and foundation warranty, and one year of free in-home service, parts and labor, with the beds warranted against manufacturing defects in workmanship and material.

The company also described its motors as completely sealed and self-lubricating for a lifetime of maintenance-free reliability, and the frame as high-carbon steel built to withstand thousands of adjustments. Independent durability evidence: none found - no Tuck, Sleepopolis, Mattress Clarity or Consumer Reports testing, no lab or rollator data, and no owner reports of sagging, coil failure or motor failure located.

No wear-test results, sagging thresholds or proration schedule are published: Not published as of Sept 2026.

Chapter 06

Sleep trials, returns, exchanges and fees

Why this matters to you: Feel is hard to judge in a store or in a week. Know your exit plan and its cost before you pay.

There was no sleep trial and no returns. The official return-policy page stated plainly that Easy Rest does not accept returns on Easy Rest Adjustable Sleep Systems, that all sales are final and cannot be returned for any reason, and that the beds are not sold on an in-home trial basis, with the no-return policy also printed in large type on the sales contract.

The company's stated reasons were health and sanitation rules - any bed left in a home, even after one night, is considered used and would have to be stripped to the bare frame with the mattress disposed of - and it said it did not want to be in the business of selling reconditioned beds.

In the same policy it noted that competitors' comfort guarantees carry costs: it said Craftmatic's 30-day trial requires the customer to call between day 31 and day 45 for a return authorization, gives 14 days to return, and either requires the customer to find and pay for their own trucking or pay Craftmatic 488 dollars for one bed or 688 dollars for a dual system for pickup and packing.

Exchanges, comfort swaps, mattress-only swaps and statutory cancellation rights are Not published as of Sept 2026, and with the brand no longer selling there is nothing to return.

Delivery, setup and old-mattress removal

Why this matters to you: Delivery terms decide your first week with the bed. Confirm the date, setup and old-bed removal before you pay.

Easy Rest ran its own delivery and service operation rather than a national carrier, with a dedicated delivery and service department, home delivery and service technician job postings in Baltimore, Maryland, and service personnel covering the 48 contiguous states.

Customer testimonials describe crews bringing the bed in, setting it up, showing the buyer how to use it, and, in at least one account, carrying the old mattress out to a back room - but no formal old-mattress-removal program, fee or disposal policy is published. The accessories catalog promotion mentioned free shipping.

Delivery fees, scheduling windows, whether in-home setup was free or included, and whether old-bed haul-away was ever a paid or standard service are Not published as of Sept 2026.

What do the warranties cover?

Why this matters to you: A warranty is only as good as its terms. Read the written terms and use a supported base, because the wrong frame can end coverage.

Published terms: a limited lifetime warranty on all motors on the most popular models, marketed as one of the best warranties in the industry for the exclusive Whisper Power lift motors; a 20-year pro-rated limited mattress and foundation warranty; and one year of free in-home service, parts and labor.

Beds were warranted against manufacturing defects in workmanship and material, and the company promised in-home service anytime it was needed; it also offered to service competitor beds whose components are compatible with its parts, at reasonable rates for labor and parts.

Not published as of Sept 2026: the full warranty document text, the proration schedule and percentages, what voids coverage, whether coverage transfers to a second owner, exclusions for normal wear or user damage, any service-trip or shipping fees after the first year, and whether the limited lifetime motor coverage has time or ownership limits. The current easyrest.com carries no warranty page because it no longer sells beds.

Review counts checked on each site · they change daily

Customer reviews and complaints

Why this matters to you: Star ratings depend on who posts and where. Read the low-star reviews for patterns, not just the average.

Almost all review evidence is company-published and cannot be verified today. Easy Rest claimed more than 7,300 online reviews in 2017-2019, more than 46 percent more than its closest competitor, rising to more than 8,500 positive customer reviews by 2024, and said it had helped more than 100,000 satisfied customers in the United States.

The reviews were cultivated through a partnership with ConsumerAffairs.com, which interviewed verified customers about the mattress, sales, delivery and service experience. Preferred Credit, Inc. awarded Easy Rest its Diamond Certification in June 2014 for excellent customer service with a very low level of consumer complaints - an award from a finance partner, not an independent review body, and it published no complaint count.

The site's own testimonials praise delivery and setup, the massage and heat features, and relief from reflux, swelling and back pain. What we could not find as of Sept 2026: a live Better Business Bureau profile or rating, a Trustpilot or ConsumerAffairs page with an accessible rating, or any complaint dataset. The SiteJabber/SmartCustomer profile for easyrest.com shows 0 reviews and a 0.0 rating and does not refer to the bed business.

What are the mattresses made of?

Why this matters to you: Layer names say little without numbers. Ask what is inside your exact model, layer by layer.

Published construction is thin and covers essentially one model. The Harmony mattress is a 13-inch hybrid: 12.5-gauge, 660 foam-encased pocketed offset coil springs, with a pillow-top section adding 1.5 inches of Omalon foam and 1.5 inches of latex foam under an ultra-plush stretch-knit fabric cover.

Across the line the mattress surface was offered as an ultra-plush pressure-relieving latex topper or the company's exclusive memory reflex foam topper. The base used a high-carbon steel frame recessed for safety and powder-coated for rust protection, completely sealed self-lubricating motors, reinforced adjustable headboard brackets, optional leg extensions and locking casters.

Everything was marketed as made and assembled in the USA, with the mattresses described as 100 percent proudly made in the USA. Also stated: mattresses were specially designed for years of adjustability, and the FAQ said Easy Rest chose not to move production or assembly overseas.

Not published as of Sept 2026: foam densities or IFDs, the other models' layer stacks, cover fibre content, coil counts for any model but Harmony, any CertiPUR-US, GOTS, GOLS or OEKO-TEX certification, and flame-retardant or fire-standard details.

Where can you try and buy the mattresses?

Why this matters to you: Where you buy sets the price, the trial and who handles problems. Check the seller's terms, not just the brand's.

Easy Rest was never a store brand. It sold direct: a toll-free sales line (800-217-5206), a free mail catalog, a website request form, and in-home consultations and demonstrations by company sleep specialists, plus a distributor network, with financing offered and a high-touch appointment-based sales process. There was no online checkout and no brick-and-mortar retail that we could find.

After-sale support ran through a nationwide customer-service center on 1-800-523-5383, Monday to Friday 9 am to 5 pm Eastern, with specially trained service personnel in the 48 contiguous states able to make in-home repairs, and the company also serviced compatible competitor beds at reasonable labor and parts rates.

Today there is nowhere to try or buy: easyrest.com states it is no longer selling beds and is now an editorial site, and searches of Amazon, Walmart and Wayfair found no Easy Rest mattresses or adjustable beds for sale. Where to try or buy as of Sept 2026: Not published.

Chapter 12

Easy Rest vs. other mattress brands

Why this matters to you: A fair comparison needs the same facts for both beds. Line up price, trial and warranty for each one.

Easy Rest competed as a direct-sales adjustable-bed system rather than a mattress-only brand, and its own pages named Tempur-Pedic, Serta, Sleep Number and Craftmatic - arguing that the largest bedding retailers also exclude adjustable beds from returns, and detailing Craftmatic's day 31 to day 45 return window plus 488 or 688 dollar pickup-and-pack charges.

Its pitch was US-made quality at a better quality-per-dollar than local stores, with in-home demonstration and lifetime motor coverage.

Versus modern mattress and sleep-system brands - Tempur-Pedic, Sleep Number, Saatva, Purple, Nectar, Puffy, Helix and the bed-in-a-box field - Easy Rest now loses on every current buying standard: no published prices or specs, no online store, no showroom, no sleep trial, no returns, no independent testing or verifiable third-party review score, and since 2025 no product at all.

The irony worth flagging for readers: easyrest.com today publishes editorial reviews of those same competitor brands (Casper, Helix, Saatva, Zinus, Novaform, Avocado, PlushBeds, Naturepedic and others) while selling nothing itself, so any brand-versus-brand comparison on that domain is editorial, not commercial.

More brand reviews to compare: Early Bird, Earthfoam, Eastman House, Ebern Designs, Eclipse, Eco Terra.

Competitor details reflect published prices and specs on the date shown. Mattress brands may update prices and trial terms over time.
Chapter 13

How we research and report

This page is an early draft built from our research sheet for Easy Rest. We read the brand's own pages and public listings, and we do not test mattresses ourselves. Fields marked "Not yet researched" are still being checked.

.

We started with the official site in September 2026 and confirmed what it is: easyrest.com is now an editorial sleep-and-mattress publication whose about-us page says it inherited the trusted legacy of Easy Rest and is no longer selling beds, discloses no legal entity, owner or address, lists Delaney@easyrest.com plus Facebook and Instagram as the only contact points, and whose sitemaps hold roughly 1,295 articles, including reviews of other mattress brands.

Because the brand no longer sells anything, we rebuilt the product, price, materials, warranty, delivery and return picture from older versions of the official pages: the 9 October 2024 homepage (Adjustable Beds and Mattresses; Platinum, Premier and Classic models; five models claimed; latex or memory reflex foam topper choice; 8,500 positive reviews claim; accessory catalog; sweepstakes suspended for COVID-19), a 2019-2020 homepage, the adjustable-bed model comparison page (Platinum, Premier, Classic and Economy features), the Harmony model page (13-inch mattress, 12.5-gauge 660 pocketed coils, motors, remote and massage detail), the warranty page (limited lifetime motors, 20-year pro-rated mattress and foundation, one year free in-home service), the pricing page (no figures, prices vary by distributor), two return-policy pages (no returns, no in-home trial, all sales final), the customer-service page (1-800-523-5383, Monday to Friday 9 to 5 Eastern, 48 contiguous states), the FAQ (US-made and assembled, in-home service), the reviews page claiming more than 7,300 ConsumerAffairs-collected reviews and 100,000-plus customers, the history page (opened for business in 2007, renamed Easy Rest Adjustable Sleep Systems in 2012) and the Diamond Certification press release (Preferred Credit, Inc., June 2014, Baltimore dateline).

We then checked third-party and retail channels: Amazon, Walmart and Wayfair searches for Easy Rest mattresses, the SiteJabber/SmartCustomer profile for easyrest.com (0 reviews, 0.0 rating), Trustpilot and ConsumerAffairs (no accessible ratings) and the Better Business Bureau (no profile found). We did not invent any spec, price, review count or policy.

Where nothing is published, the field says Not published as of Sept 2026; where a number or rating is a company claim that cannot be independently verified today, it is labelled as a company claim.

Buying and policies

Does Easy Rest still sell mattresses?

No. The official site says it's no longer selling beds. easyrest.com is now an editorial sleep and mattress site with roughly 1,295 articles. It links out to other mattress brands.

Was it a mattress brand, then?

It was a US adjustable bed maker. It opened in 2007 and was renamed Easy Rest Adjustable Sleep Systems in 2012. It worked from Baltimore, Maryland. It bundled its own adjustable mattresses with its bases. The mattress was part of a bed system, not a stand-alone retail line.

What models existed and what were the mattresses made of?

The models were Platinum, Premier, Harmony, Classic and Economy. The only published mattress spec is the 13-inch Harmony. It has 12.5-gauge, 660 foam-encased pocketed offset coils and a 1.5-inch Omalon plus 1.5-inch latex pillow top. Across the line you could choose a latex or memory reflex foam topper.

What did they cost?

The brand never published a price. The site said prices vary by distributor and depend on the model and options. It offered flexible payment options and ran buy-one-get-one promotions.

What are the trial, return and warranty terms?

There was no in-home trial and no returns. All sales were final, and the no-return rule was printed in large type on the contract. The mattress and foundation had a 20-year pro-rated limited warranty. Motors had a limited lifetime warranty. You also got one year of free in-home service, parts and labor.

Where can I buy one now?

We couldn't find anywhere. The brand no longer sells, and it never had stores or online checkout. Amazon, Walmart and Wayfair searches found no Easy Rest mattresses. Used beds and the archived site are all that's left.

Prices and promos checked Not yet researched. Recheck before buying.
