PerformaSleep is a US-made, athlete-focused online brand. It sells two all-foam beds (Essentials and 2.0) and one hybrid, priced from $399 to $1,299. You get a 100-night trial, free shipping in the contiguous US and a 10-year limited warranty. The hook is CopperCool, a copper and gel foam. Independent coverage is thin and mostly from 2018 to 2023, and the on-site reviews lean heavily toward five stars. All three beds feel medium or medium-firm, so it's a better match if you want a firmer bed than a plush one.

Good fit: athletes, lifters, runners and other active sleepers, which is the brand's whole pitch, with a recovery-and-cooling story built on a copper-and-gel-infused foam layer and a latex-free Enersorb comfort foam; back sleepers and stomach sleepers who want medium-firm support without memory-foam sink, because the Essentials and 2.0 are medium-firm (the older 11 in model measured medium-firm, about 6 of 10, at Mattress Advisor); couples who want motion isolation, since the brand claims the foam transfers so little motion you cannot feel a partner move and the Hybrid uses individually wrapped coils to cut transfer; hot sleepers willing to accept brand-reported rather than lab-verified cooling; adjustable-base owners, because all three mattresses are sold to pair with the brand's own Adjustable Base and Breeze Foundation; budget shoppers who want a queen under $600 and still get a 100-night trial, free return pickup and a 10-year warranty, which the $599 Essentials delivers; and USA-made, CertiPUR-US-certified foam buyers.
Poor fit: strict side sleepers who need a plush or pressure-relieving soft bed, because the range is only medium (Hybrid) and medium-firm (Essentials, 2.0) with no plush, firm or adjustable-firmness option; hot sleepers who need proven cooling, because several owners still report sleeping warm despite the CopperCool marketing and the brand publishes no independent temperature testing; shoppers who want in-store testing, because there are no showrooms, dealers or retail listings, so the only way to try a bed is to order one; people who want white-glove delivery or old-mattress haul-away, since neither is offered; sleepers over roughly 250 lb or high-BMI shoppers, because no weight guidance or extra-support model is published and the foundation capacities are the only load figures given; latex, organic and natural-material shoppers, because the mattresses are polyurethane foam and one coil hybrid with no latex or organic certifications; and research-driven buyers who want current third-party testing, because the main independent review is a 2018-2019 Mattress Advisor test of a now-replaced 11 in model plus a Garage Gym Reviews article last updated Nov 7 2023.

Chapter 02
Comfort and firmness: which mattress fits you
Why this matters to you: Feel names are the brand's words, not measurements. Use them to shortlist two or three beds, then let your body decide.
The brand splits it three ways. The Essentials is for sleepers who want dependable comfort and support at an affordable price and it names budget shoppers, guest rooms and students; it is medium firm, so it suits back sleepers, stomach sleepers and side sleepers who like a slightly resilient surface rather than deep contouring.
The 2.0 is for people who want advanced pressure relief, premium cooling and a medium-firm feel, and the brand names athletes, active individuals and couples who want comfort, support and motion isolation; its Enersorb layer is designed to conform without the quicksand feel of memory foam, so it fits sleepers who dislike sinking and sleepers who change position at night.
The Hybrid is for sleepers who want balanced comfort and dependable support for primary bedrooms and guest rooms, and its 7 in individually wrapped coil system with reinforced edges adds airflow, spinal-alignment support and a more usable edge, so it suits hot sleepers who want airflow, couples who want the coil system to absorb motion, and sleepers who sit or sleep near the edge.
Firmness choices are limited: only medium and medium-firm exist, and no weight-based recommendations are published for any model, so heavier sleepers have no extra-support build to choose; the only load figures given are foundation capacities (600 lb Twin and Twin XL, 850 lb Full and Queen, 1,200 lb King and California King).
Sleep-position guidance beyond those blurbs is not published: the site does not publish a side, back or stomach recommendation table, no zoned or split-firmness options exist, and the only published firmness measurement for the brand comes from third parties on the earlier model (Mattress Advisor rated it medium-firm, 6 of 10).
For hot sleepers the answer depends on which sources you trust: the brand says CopperCool wicks heat away particle to particle and that Enersorb is more breathable than memory foam or latex, while owner reviews include heat complaints, and no independent lab temperature test exists.
Adjustable-base owners get a clean answer: all three mattresses are stated to pair with the PerformaSleep Adjustable Base and the Breeze Foundation, and the base adds zero-gravity, anti-snore and memory positions.

Which PerformaSleep feel fits you?
Weight chart not yet researched
Weight and sleep position can change how a bed feels. We have not yet checked whether PerformaSleep publishes a fit chart by body weight, so use a trial, where one is offered, to test the bed the way you sleep at home.
Neck: on your side, your nose should line up with the middle of your chest, not tip up or down.
Shoulders: your bottom shoulder should sink in. Tingling or a numb arm means the bed is too firm for you.
Lower back: on your back, slide a flat hand under your waist. A big gap means too firm; no room at all can mean too soft.
Hips: ask someone to look from the side. Hips lower than shoulders means the bed is too soft for you.
Figure 2.1: Four checks to run in a store, lying still in the position you sleep in most. The store test in chapter 11 says how long to lie on each bed.
Chapter 03
Compare the mattresses
Why this matters to you: Models from one brand can differ in feel, height and layers. Match the feel label and height to how you sleep before you compare prices.
PerformaSleep lists 3 models. Feel names are the brand's labels.
EVERY MODEL, as sold Sept 22 2026. (1) PerformaSleep Essentials Mattress, 11 in, medium firm, all-foam: moisture-wicking stretch knit cover, 2 in cooling gel memory foam, 2 in medium-firm comfort foam, 7 in high-density base support foam; Twin $399, Twin XL $449, Full $499, Queen $599, King $699, California King $699.
Brand positioning: dependable comfort and support at an affordable price, aimed at budget shoppers, guest rooms and students. (2) PerformaSleep 2.0 Mattress, 12 in, medium firm, all-foam: cool-to-the-touch cover, 2 in CopperCool gel-infused memory foam, 2 in Enersorb responsive comfort foam, 8 in high-density PerformaBase support core; Twin $699, Twin XL $799, Full $949, Queen $1,149, King $1,249, California King $1,249.
Brand calls it the redesign of its best-selling bed and pitches it at athletes, active people and couples who want pressure relief, cooling and motion isolation. (3) PerformaSleep Hybrid Mattress, 12 in, medium, foam-and-coil: cooling performance cover, 2 in CopperCool-infused Enersorb comfort layer, 2 in Enersorb performance layer, 7 in individually wrapped coils with reinforced edge support, 1 in firm base foam; Twin $749, Twin XL $849, Full $999, Queen $1,199, King $1,299, California King $1,299.
It is the airflow-and-edge-support pick, with coil response instead of an all-foam feel. All three carry the same 100-night trial and 10-year limited warranty, and each mattress page shows the identical aggregate of 4.90/5 from 937 reviews, indicating one shared review pool rather than per-model scores.
Bundles: buy one mattress plus two other eligible items (Tencel sheets, 4-Chamber Adjustable Pillow, Breeze Foundation or Adjustable Base) and the qualifying bundle takes 30% off, with 20% off sitewide as the standing promotion.
Accessories completing the system: 4 in Cooling Mattress Topper $149-$219 (gel fibers, memory foam and conventional foam under a cooling polyethylene cover, zoned center third, OEKO-TEX and CertiPUR-US certified); 4-Chamber Adjustable Pillow $99-$209 (patent-pending four-chamber memory foam and gel fiber blend, flipped or rotated to change loft); CopperCool Cooling Gel Pillow $119 Queen and $149 King (phase-change cooling gel layer); Tencel Cooling Sheet Set $115-$175 in Twin through California King, White or Grey; Breeze Foundation upholstered platform frame $429-$699 (tool-free 5-minute assembly, 13 in height, 600-1,200 lb capacities); Adjustable Base $599 Twin XL, $749 Full, $799 Queen and $1,099 Split King with zero-gravity and anti-snore presets, memory position and wireless remote.
Historical note: Mattress Advisor's 2018-2019 test covered a single 11 in foam mattress at Twin $525 to King $975, so today's three-model line is a later expansion and the older specs do not carry across.

Financing is promoted as as low as 0% APR up to 12 months with a prequalify link on mattress pages, and the provider is not named in the page copy. Rewards: a free account earns 500 points at signup and 1 point per $1 spent, with referral rewards.
Value read: the Essentials is genuinely cheap for a CertiPUR-US foam bed with a 100-night trial and 10-year warranty, and the 2.0 and Hybrid queens at $1,149 and $1,199 undercut most coil hybrids from legacy brands while sitting above aggressive discounter brands.
What you do not get at these prices, per the brand's own pages: no white-glove delivery, no old-mattress removal, no in-store trial, no mattress exchange program, and no return rights at all on the pillows and Tencel sheets.
Historic prices show the line has not been repriced down: Mattress Advisor listed Twin $525 to King $975 for the single 11 in foam model in 2018-2019, and Garage Gym Reviews listed $995 with the King just under $1,000 at its Nov 2023 update, so today's King at $699 (Essentials) is cheaper in real terms while the 2.0 and Hybrid Kings at $1,249-$1,299 are new, higher-priced tiers.
Discount depth is the wildcard: the brand runs sitewide and bundle promotions continuously, so the listed prices are ceilings rather than what most buyers pay, and no published price history or price-match policy exists.

Chapter 05
How well do the mattresses hold up?
Why this matters to you: A mattress is a long buy. Lean on the written warranty and real owner reports to judge how it will last.
No independent durability testing for the current lineup exists; the evidence is the warranty terms, one long-term third-party test of the older model, and owner reports. The brand's own durability line in the warranty is a 1.5 in indentation threshold, which means a body impression has to exceed an inch and a half before it counts as a defect.
Mattress Advisor, testing the earlier 11 in foam mattress, scored durability 7.5 of 10, the lowest of its functional scores, alongside edge support 8.1, motion transfer 8, pressure relief 8, responsiveness 9.5, spinal alignment 9 and cooling 9, for an overall 8.6 of 10.
Garage Gym Reviews, which slept on the mattress for over a year, reported no stitching failures and no sagging at the time of writing and rated construction, comfort and durability each 4.5 of 5, but the article has not been updated since Nov 7 2023.
Owner reviews on the brand's own site include a few wear complaints from the earlier model: a slight indentation where the sleeper always lies (Carla B., July 2021), a lump across the foot of the bed that persisted (Katie E., Oct 2021), and deep edge sink that made sitting on the side of the bed feel like sliding off (Nicole B., Apr 2021); all three are four-star reviews, and the review pool contains no one, two or three-star reviews at all.
Practical durability factors: the foam beds need a solid, flat foundation and the brand warns that improper support can void warranty coverage, the Hybrid's coil unit is the only model with a mechanical support system and its coil specs are unpublished, and the warranty goes prorated from month 19, so after the first 18 months a claim is only partly covered.
Buyers who want documented, multi-year durability data for these exact models will not find it, and the honest position is that the current Essentials, 2.0 and Hybrid have no published durability evidence beyond the warranty and the brand's own review pool.

Chapter 06
Sleep trials, returns, exchanges and fees
Why this matters to you: Feel is hard to judge in a store or in a week. Know your exit plan and its cost before you pay.
. Trial: a 100-night sleep trial on every PerformaSleep mattress, described on the returns page as risk-free and stated in the site banner as the 100-night challenge (an older version of the About page advertised 90 days, so treat 100 nights as the current offer).
Minimum use: the brand asks buyers to sleep on the mattress for at least 30 nights before requesting a return, so that the body can adjust; returns cannot be requested inside the first 30 nights.
Cost to return: none published - the brand says it will send a courier to pick the mattress up at no charge, with up to 2 weeks allowed for the pickup to be scheduled, and the refund is processed within 5-10 business days after proof of pickup, in full for the mattress purchase price; if funds are not visible after 10 business days the brand tells buyers to contact their bank.
How to start: email support@performasleep.com, which is the only published channel, with no phone and no return portal.
What cannot be returned: the PerformaSleep pillows (both the CopperCool Cooling Gel Pillow and the 4-Chamber Adjustable Pillow) and the Tencel Cooling Sheet Set are non-refundable and non-returnable per the returns page; no return policy text is published for the 4 in topper, the Breeze Foundation or the Adjustable Base, and no policy is published for accessories bought inside a discounted bundle.
Exchanges: no exchange or comfort-swap program is published, so the only path if the firmness is wrong is a full return within the trial window; there is no layer-swap product and no firmness option to trade into.
Fees: no restocking fee, no shipping fee and no disposal fee are mentioned anywhere in the brand's return copy, and no return-shipping label cost is passed to the customer for mattresses; the practical costs to a buyer are the 30-night minimum wait, the up to two-week pickup window and the 5-10 business day refund lag after that.

Chapter 07
Delivery, setup and old-mattress removal
Why this matters to you: Delivery terms decide your first week with the bed. Confirm the date, setup and old-bed removal before you pay.
. Shipping: free within the contiguous United States, with Alaska, Hawaii and Canada explicitly excluded.
Timelines published by the brand are inconsistent: the shipping page says labels are normally created the next business day, fulfillment can take up to 3 business days, then 1-5 days in transit depending on location, while mattress product pages and the site banner say mattresses typically ship free in 3-5 business days and the FAQ says the mattress typically ships within 2-4 business days.
Carrier is also inconsistent: the shipping page names UPS as the carrier that delivers the bed to your door, while the FAQ says the mattress ships compressed in a box via FedEx; both statements are live on the site on Sept 22 2026 and the discrepancy is not explained.
Format: the mattress arrives compressed, rolled and boxed for self-setup, no in-home assembly service is offered, and the FAQ says two people should carry the box into the room and one person can finish the rest, with 8-10 hours recommended before sleeping (the FAQ adds you can sleep on it immediately if you do not have that long); the earlier FAQ listed the box as 20 x 21 x 40 in.
Foundation requirement: the mattress should rest on a flat, solid surface such as bed slats, a box spring, the brand's Breeze Foundation, the Adjustable Base, or the floor.
Accessories: pillows ship separately from mattresses, the Breeze Foundation is a tool-free platform frame with a stated 5-minute assembly and 13 in height, and the Adjustable Base runs $599 Twin XL to $1,099 Split King with independent head and foot articulation for buyers who want powered setup flex.
Old-mattress removal: no haul-away, recycling or removal service is published anywhere on the site, so buyers are responsible for disposing of an old bed; the only free removal the brand performs is collecting its own mattress by courier when a trial return is approved. There is also no delivery-date scheduling, no room-of-choice placement guarantee and no assembly service, so plan on a two-person, do-it-yourself setup.
Typical wait: 1 to 5 days

What do the warranties cover?
Why this matters to you: A warranty is only as good as its terms. Read the written terms and use a supported base, because the wrong frame can end coverage.
PerformaSleep offers a 10-year limited warranty to the original purchaser only, with proof and validation of purchase date required, non-transferable, and claims handled by contacting support@performasleep.com (no registration requirement is published beyond proof of purchase).
Covered: verified material defects from defective materials or manufacturer error, including notable indentation greater than 1.5 in not caused by normal sag, improper handling, installation or inadequate foundation support; manufacturing defects or flaws that leave any edge measuring more than 1 in out of dimensional specification when the mattress sits on a flat, solid surface; and physical flaws in the foam such as degradation, splitting or cracking under normal installation, handling and use.
Prorated schedule for repair or replacement of the mattress or cover: 100% during the first 18 months from purchase, 80% in months 19 through 36, 60% in months 37 through 60, 40% in months 61 through 96, and 20% in months 97 through 120.
Not covered: any indentation or sag under 10% of the original mattress height; rips, tears or indentations caused by improper handling, installation or use; slight softening over time under normal use; abuse or misuse such as stains, spilled fluids, cuts, rips and tears; normal wear, tear and imperfections; and medical conditions, allergies or other health claims from product use.
The warranty is tied to foundation rules: the mattress must be supported by a solid, flat foundation such as a bed frame, box spring, adjustable base or floor, and questions about installation are routed to customer service.
In addition to the standard warranty, the brand partners with Extend to sell optional accident protection plans in 3-year, 5-year and 10-year terms on all PerformaSleep mattresses; Extend covers accidental damage such as cuts, punctures, tears and rips plus stains from food, drink and bodily fluids, provides 24/7 claims support, and states that if the problem cannot be fixed it will replace the mattress at no additional cost.
No warranty terms are published for the pillows, sheets, topper, Breeze Foundation or Adjustable Base, and no sleep-trial credit or warranty extension is offered with the Extend plans as far as the pages state.
Covered when the dip is deeper than 1.5 inches, measured with nobody on the bed.
Strip the bed down to the mattress and wait a few hours so the top layers can recover.
Lay a straight edge (a broom handle or long level) across the dip, resting on the flat parts.

Review counts checked on each site · they change daily
Customer reviews and complaints
Why this matters to you: Star ratings depend on who posts and where. Read the low-star reviews for patterns, not just the average.
. On-site: the Yotpo review pool behind all three mattress pages returns 924 reviews at 4.90 of 5, distributed as 834 five-star and 90 four-star with no one, two or three-star reviews at all;. Reviews run from 2019 through Sept 20 2026, and recent entries are all five stars (Nicholas D.
Sept 20 2026, Maria C. Sept 10 2026, Mary S. Aug 22 2026, Kat P.
Aug 14 2026, Nick S. Aug 12 2026, David D. Aug 10 2026, Skyler A.
July 25 2026, Carl B. June 30 2026). Repeat-buyer and long-ownership stories are common in that pool: one owner reports four PerformaSleep mattresses in the house, another replaced an eight-year-old PerformaSleep only to upsize from queen to king, and a third said the original felt as good as the day it was unboxed.
Praise themes in the pool: relief from lower back, neck and shoulder pain, sleeping through the night, cooler sleep, easy setup, quick shipping, responsive customer service and value for money.
Complaints, all of them inside four-star reviews: a strong chemical or rubbery plastic smell that lingered for months, still sleeping hot or feeling the bed trap body heat (Lindsey B., Dec 2021; Mike M., Aug 2020; Miles I., Apr 2020; Mary K., Sept 2019), deep edge sink with poor sitting support (Nicole B., Apr 2021), a slight indentation where the sleeper lies (Carla B., July 2021), a persistent lump across the foot of the bed (Katie E., Oct 2021), and unreceived promotional free pillows (Ryan H., Aug 2020; Doris B., May 2020).
Third-party verdicts: Garage Gym Reviews rated the mattress 4.5 of 5 after more than a year of use, with the review stating the bed is genuinely comfortable and that the reviewer slept better than on other mattresses, while cautioning that the cooling claim only partly held up for him and that the Enersorb and CopperCool names sound gimmicky; Mattress Advisor scored it 8.6 of 10 in 2018-2019, with social impact only 3 of 10 and durability 7.5 of 10.
What is missing matters: there is no BBB profile, no Trustpilot page, no ConsumerAffairs page, no Sitejabber page and no GoodBed page for performasleep.com that could be found as of Sept 22 2026, and the on-site pool contains zero reviews below four stars, so treat the 4.9 rating as solicited first-party feedback rather than a balanced sample.
The clearest pattern in independent and owner commentary is that buyers who want a firmer-than-average foam bed for back pain tend to be happy, and buyers who bought primarily for cooling are the ones most likely to be disappointed.

Chapter 10
What are the mattresses made of?
Why this matters to you: Layer names say little without numbers. Ask what is inside your exact model, layer by layer.
All three are polyurethane foam builds, handcrafted in the USA, and the brand states the foam components are CertiPUR-US certified, meaning made without ozone depleters, formaldehyde, lead and other heavy metals, and low VOC.
Essentials 11 in: moisture-wicking stretch knit cover, 2 in cooling gel memory foam, 2 in medium-firm comfort foam the brand says was created by its team for a smooth transition without a quicksand feel, and a 7 in high-density base foam.
2.0 12 in: cool-to-the-touch cover, 2 in CopperCool gel-infused memory foam for temperature regulation and pressure relief, 2 in Enersorb responsive layer the brand says conforms without sink and improves motion isolation, and 8 in high-density PerformaBase support foam.
Hybrid 12 in: cooling performance cover, 2 in CopperCool-infused Enersorb comfort layer, 2 in Enersorb performance layer, 7 in individually wrapped coils with reinforced edge support, and 1 in firm base foam; no coil count, coil gauge or coil diameter is published.
CopperCool is described by the brand as microscopic copper particles plus gel infused in the top layer, claimed to dissipate body heat, give variable support, eliminate moisture and, on the older quality page, be antimicrobial and antiviral; Enersorb is described as giving memory-foam comfort and pressure relief without slow recovery and as more breathable than memory foam or latex.
Third-party construction detail exists only for the earlier 11 in mattress: Garage Gym Reviews listed 2 in CopperCool gel foam at 4 lb density and 10 ILD, 2 in Enersorb at 4 lb density and 15 ILD, and 7 in base foam at 1.8 lb density and 36 ILD, and Mattress Advisor recorded an 88 lb queen, an 11 in profile and a 20 x 21 x 40 in shipping box.
Current models publish layer thicknesses only, with no foam densities, no ILD figures and no coil specifications, so the density numbers above should be treated as dated.
Care notes from the brand FAQ: the removable mattress cover is spot clean or dry clean only and must not be machine washed, the mattress should sit on a flat solid surface (slats, box spring, foundation or floor), and the foam components are described as odorless by formulation even though some owners report an initial smell. Certifications found: CertiPUR-US for the mattress foams and OEKO-TEX plus CertiPUR-US for the 4 in topper.
No OEKO-TEX, Greenguard Gold, organic, latex or fiberglass-related claims are published for the mattresses, and no fiberglass mention appears anywhere on the site. Country of manufacture: handcrafted in the USA, with foam manufactured in Georgia; the current FAQ says cover materials are internationally sourced while an earlier version of the same FAQ said the cover materials came from South Carolina.

Chapter 11
Where can you try and buy the mattresses?
Why this matters to you: Where you buy sets the price, the trial and who handles problems. Check the seller's terms, not just the brand's.
Direct-to-consumer online only, at performasleep.com (canonical www.performasleep.com), where all three mattresses and every accessory are sold.
No showroom, dealer or third-party retail listing was found as of Sept 22 2026: the brand's own /pages/location page exists but is empty, the footer link labeled Retail PerformaSleep resolves to a Collective retailer-referral app with no store list published, an Amazon search for the brand returns no PerformaSleep products, and a Walmart search returns no matches.
Historically the brand sold in person at fitness events: a 2016 customer review said the mattress was found at Wodapalooza in Miami, and the brand has used CrossFit athlete endorsements (Camille Leblanc-Bazinet, Lauren Fisher, Emily Bridgers, Scott Panchik, Mathew Fraser, Jacob Heppner, Cole Sager and others) plus a testimonials page, but those are marketing voices, not retail locations.
B2B is the one other channel: the wholesale page invites retailers, hospitality groups, fitness and recovery facilities, corporate wellness programs, designers and healthcare-adjacent organizations to apply to a partner program for the Essentials, 2.0 and Hybrid mattresses, pillows, Tencel sheets, toppers, foundations and adjustable bases, with approval, pricing and territories subject to application; there is also an affiliate and influencer partnership program and a rewards and referral program.
Support and sales contact is email only, support@performasleep.com, with a stated reply target of 24 business hours and a contact form that asks for an order number; no phone number and no mailing or street address are published anywhere on the site, and the only geographic detail the brand gives about itself is that the mattresses are handcrafted in the USA with foam made in Georgia.
Practically, that means you cannot lie on a PerformaSleep bed before buying, there is no in-store comparison, and the brand's 100-night home trial is the only try-before-you-keep option; the trial requires a 30-night minimum use period before a return can be requested.

Chapter 12
PerformaSleep vs. other mattress brands
Why this matters to you: A fair comparison needs the same facts for both beds. Line up price, trial and warranty for each one.
Brand vs other mattress brands. Positioning: PerformaSleep competes as an athlete-and-recovery bed-in-a-box, which puts it closest to Bear (celliant-and-recovery marketing), and its own third-party reviewer at Garage Gym Reviews compared its model directly to Casper and Tuft & Needle on the convenience-and-price axis while calling the product a step further for athletes.
On price, the $599 Essentials queen undercuts Casper, Nectar and Leesa entry queens, while the $1,149 2.0 queen and $1,199 Hybrid queen land mid-market, below premium and luxury lines such as Saatva, Tempur-Pedic and Sleep Number, and above the deepest-discount value brands once their constant sales apply; the brand's own $399 Twin entry price is aggressive for a CertiPUR-US, USA-made foam bed with a 100-night trial.
On policy, 100 nights plus a 10-year limited warranty is competitive with mainstream online brands such as Casper and Leesa, but it is shorter than what the longest-trial brands advertise (Saatva publishes a 365-night trial and a lifetime warranty), and the 30-night minimum-use rule is stricter than most of the online market.
On materials, PerformaSleep is polyurethane foam plus one pocketed-coil hybrid, with no latex, organic or natural option, so it is not a substitute for Avocado, Sleep on Latex or Saatva Latex Hybrid, and it publishes no zoned support, no split-firmness build and no adjustable-firmness system, unlike Helix, Brooklyn Bedding or Sleep Number.
On cooling, the CopperCool copper-and-gel story competes with the cooling-focused marketing of brands such as Bear, Brooklyn Bedding (Aurora) and Tempur-Pedic (Breeze), but PerformaSleep has no independently verified temperature testing, and its own four-star reviews include repeated heat complaints, so it should not be chosen solely on the cooling claim.
On transparency, the brand publishes layer thicknesses but not foam densities, ILD values, coil counts or coil gauges for current models, and the only density data comes from a 2018-2023 third-party test of an older model, so it trails brands that publish full spec sheets and GoodBed-style owner-experience data.
On service, PerformaSleep offers email-only support, no phone line, no showrooms, no white-glove delivery and no old-mattress removal, which is a meaningful gap against Saatva (free white-glove setup and removal), brands with their own showrooms, such as Amerisleep, and even against value brands that now bundle haul-away.
On endorsements, the brand leans on CrossFit and functional-fitness names (Camille Leblanc-Bazinet, Lauren Fisher, Emily Bridgers, Scott Panchik, Mathew Fraser, Brandon Moreno in video content), the same playbook Bear used with athletes, and a tactic that should be read as marketing rather than independent validation.
Net read: choose PerformaSleep over the big value brands if you want a firmer all-foam feel, a USA-made CertiPUR-US build or a copper-foam talking point at a low listed price; choose Saatva, Nectar, Bear, Leesa or Sleep on Latex instead if you need a longer trial, a softer or latex option, in-home setup, old-mattress removal, a phone number, or third-party durability evidence.
Competitor details reflect published prices and specs on the date shown. Mattress brands may update prices and trial terms over time.
Chapter 13
How we research and report
This page is an early draft built from our research sheet for PerformaSleep. We read the brand's own pages and public listings, and we do not test mattresses ourselves. Fields marked "Not yet researched" are still being checked.
Researched and written Sept 22 2026 for the Nappedia brand catalog.
Official-site research came first: performasleep.com was live on that date, so every brand claim in this row was read directly from the brand's own pages rather than from archives, including the three mattress product pages, all accessory product pages, the FAQ, about, quality, comparison, bundles, shipping, returns, pillow-returns, warranty, testimonials, contact, giving-back, wholesale, affiliate and terms pages,.
Because prices, promotions and review totals can change without notice, each figure here is as of Sept 22 2026, and prices are listed prices that the brand's own running promotions (20% sitewide, up to 30% off qualifying three-item bundles) would reduce.
Where the brand contradicts itself, both versions are reported: the 100-night trial versus an older 90-day claim, UPS versus FedEx shipping, 2-4 versus 3-5 business day dispatch, the 937 reviews shown on the page versus 924 reviews in its review feed, and South Carolina versus internationally sourced cover materials.
Third-party evidence is labeled with source and date: Garage Gym Reviews (Coop Mitchell, updated Nov 7 2023, 4.5 of 5, layer densities and ILD values for the earlier 11 in build), the Mattress Advisor overview (2018-2019, 8.6 of 10 with sub-scores, prices and a queen weight), YouTube reviews by The Mattress Advisor (2018), Garage Gym Reviews and As Many Reviews As Possible, and a craftsmanship quote attributed by the brand to mattressmatchers.com.
Older versions of the brand's site from 2016 onward also supplied the original FAQ, reviews and policy pages. We found no PerformaSleep page as of Sept 22 2026 on BBB, Trustpilot, ConsumerAffairs, Sitejabber, GoodBed, Amazon, Walmart or Wayfair.
The brand does not publish foam densities for current models, coil counts, phone number, street address, white-glove service, old-mattress removal, exchanges, weight-based recommendations, or per-accessory warranty and return terms.

Is PerformaSleep a real, operating brand?
Yes. As of September 22, 2026, the site is live and selling, and reviews run through September 20, 2026. The brand dates back to at least January 2016.
How much does a PerformaSleep mattress cost?
List prices are $399 to $699 for the Essentials, $699 to $1,249 for the 2.0 and $749 to $1,299 for the Hybrid, depending on size. A 20% sitewide sale and up to 30% off a three-item bundle often lower the price.
What is the trial and return deal?
You get 100 nights with a 30-night minimum use period. A courier picks the bed up for free, and the mattress price is refunded in 5 to 10 business days. Pillows and Tencel sheets can't be returned. Terms for a topper, foundation or base aren't published.
What are the firmness options, and who should pick which?
There are only two feels. The Hybrid is medium, and the Essentials and 2.0 are medium-firm. You can't get plush, firm, zoned or adjustable. Budget and guest-room buyers usually pick the Essentials, athletes and couples the 2.0, and hot sleepers or edge-sitters the Hybrid.
Can I try one in a store?
No. It's sold online only, and we found no showrooms, dealers or retail listings. The home trial is your only way to test one.
Is the cooling claim independently proven?
No. CopperCool is the brand's own claim. Some four-star owners still report sleeping hot, and we found no third-party temperature test for the current models.
How current is the independent testing?
It's dated. The strongest reviews are a 2018 and 2019 Mattress Advisor test of a model the brand no longer sells. The other is a Garage Gym Reviews article last updated on November 7, 2023. Ask the brand for current specs and confirm the 30-night rule before you buy.
