Chapter 01

Is Unlimited Comfort the best mattress for you?

Best for: Southwest Florida buyers who want to meet the maker, test beds in person and buy factory-direct. Strong fits include side sleepers (Cloud 11th or Paradise), back and combination sleepers (Diamond), stomach and heavier sleepers (SRQ), all-foam feel fans (Infinity), couples needing split-head or split-queen sizes, and RV, boat and camper owners needing one-off shapes.

The lifetime in-home firmness adjustment is unusual at any price and suits sleepers whose needs change over time, plus anyone replacing a mattress that was fine for a few years then stopped working.

Poor fit: online-only shoppers who need a cart and a 100-night trial, buyers outside Florida who want local showroom service, anyone who needs published per-size specs, foam densities, thicknesses or independent lab testing before buying, strict-organic shoppers needing GOTS or Oeko-Tex paperwork (only CertiPUR-US foams and organic cotton covers are stated), and shoppers who need a defined return-for-refund window, which is not published.

Chapter 02

Comfort and firmness: which mattress fits you

Why this matters to you: Feel names are the brand's words, not measurements. Use them to shortlist two or three beds, then let your body decide.

Match the model to your position and body type. Side sleepers: Cloud 11th (plush/medium) for pressure relief, or Paradise (super soft) if you want maximum cushioning and are lighter in weight. Back and combination sleepers: Diamond (medium-firm) is the maker's best-seller and the safest default.

Stomach sleepers, heavier sleepers and anyone who wants a flat, stable surface: SRQ (extra firm). Sleepers who love an all-foam memory-foam feel but still want coil support and strong edges: Infinity (medium). Couples: all models come in split and split-head configurations and a reviewer describes choosing his-and-hers firmness in one mattress; the Cloud 11th is noted for low motion transfer.

Hot sleepers: the lineup uses breathable cooling covers, and the maker sells a Cooler Sleep page and cooling builds. Allergy-sensitive sleepers: Infinity uses hypo-allergenic latex and the FAQ says all mattresses are made with hypoallergenic materials. RV, boat, camper and odd-size beds: the Custom Mattress line, including split queen and split-head setups that mainstream brands rarely build.

Which Unlimited Comfort feel fits you?

Weight chart not yet researched

Weight and sleep position can change how a bed feels. We have not yet checked whether Unlimited Comfort publishes a fit chart by body weight, so use a trial, where one is offered, to test the bed the way you sleep at home.

Four alignment checkpoints against a neutral posture line Neck Shoulders Lower back Hips level with spine sink in, no pinch no gap below no sag Straight spine line
  1. Neck: on your side, your nose should line up with the middle of your chest, not tip up or down.
  2. Shoulders: your bottom shoulder should sink in. Tingling or a numb arm means the bed is too firm for you.
  3. Lower back: on your back, slide a flat hand under your waist. A big gap means too firm; no room at all can mean too soft.
  4. Hips: ask someone to look from the side. Hips lower than shoulders means the bed is too soft for you.
Figure 2.1: Four checks to run in a store, lying still in the position you sleep in most. The store test in chapter 11 says how long to lie on each bed.

Mattress prices and value

Why this matters to you: A starting price can rise with size, base and delivery. Get the full price for your size in writing before you choose.

Factory-direct pricing with no middleman, built in the Sarasota factory. Published starting prices as of Sept 2026: Paradise $998, SRQ $1,084, Diamond $1,384, Infinity $1,384, Cloud 11th $1,788, and custom RV and boat mattresses by quote. Those prices sit below many comparable latex-and-pocket-coil hybrids at national retailers, and the included free lifetime in-home firmness adjustment adds value that bed-in-a-box brands do not match.

Value caveats: no size-by-size price table is published, there is no online checkout so you must call or visit, no return or refund window is published, and the FAQ states 0% interest financing for qualifying customers. Depth of lineup is narrow at five standard models, so custom work and split sizes are where the value story is strongest.

Chapter 05

How well do the mattresses hold up?

Why this matters to you: A mattress is a long buy. Lean on the written warranty and real owner reports to judge how it will last.

Durability rests on three things the maker publishes: a 15-year warranty, serviceable zippered covers that let the factory open and refresh or adjust foam instead of replacing the bed, and the Lifetime Comfort Guarantee, which sends technicians to adjust firmness in your home as often as needed for the mattress lifespan.

Customer evidence supports it: reviewers describe an 8-year-old mattress still loved, a 2022 Diamond split king still performing, and free in-home adjustments made within an hour of asking. The maker also claims coil systems engineered for durability and steel-encased edges. What is missing: independent long-term testing, published foam densities or compression data, sag measurements over time, and any third-party lab review.

Treat the maker's durability claims as credible but self-reported.

Sleep trials, returns, exchanges and fees

Why this matters to you: Feel is hard to judge in a store or in a week. Know your exit plan and its cost before you pay.

No sleep trial, return window or refund policy is published as of Sept 2026. The site instead pushes showroom testing before purchase and the Lifetime Comfort Guarantee afterward: technicians come to your home and adjust firmness free of charge, as often as you like during the mattress lifespan, for Sarasota residents.

The FAQ adds that if the mattress is not meeting comfort expectations they offer a free exchange, and one reviewer describes sleeping 30 days then requesting a softer adjustment, which was done in about ten minutes. No restocking fee, return-shipping fee or exchange deadline is published, and no cancellation terms for custom work are published. Because custom RV and boat mattresses are made to measure, ask about exchange terms before ordering.

Purchases happen by phone or in the showroom, not online.

Delivery, setup and old-mattress removal

Why this matters to you: Delivery terms decide your first week with the bed. Confirm the date, setup and old-bed removal before you pay.

FAQ: standard delivery typically takes 3-4 business days; custom orders vary and get an estimated date at order confirmation; shipping is complimentary within the continental United States, with additional charges for Alaska, Hawaii and international destinations. Local buyers get white-glove delivery within about a 50-mile radius of Sarasota, and the delivery page says they arrange white-glove delivery to your RV or boat in Southwest Florida.

Setup is handled by the delivery team; Google reviewers report mattresses built within days and delivered and set up in the room, with at least one reviewer stating the crew removed the old bed. Old-mattress removal is not a published policy or fee, so confirm it when ordering. No online order tracking is offered.

Typical wait: 3 to 4 business days

What do the warranties cover?

Why this matters to you: A warranty is only as good as its terms. Read the written terms and use a supported base, because the wrong frame can end coverage.

15-year warranty on all mattresses sold in Sarasota. Covered: manufacturing defects such as loose seams, faulty stitching or cover defects; sagging and body indentations deeper than 1.5 inches; broken springs or coils and foam layer issues not caused by misuse; and early deterioration such as premature foam breakdown or loss of support.

Not covered: normal wear and tear, physical damage from misuse or improper handling such as cuts, burns, stains or tears, damage caused by an improper foundation, allergic reactions or sensitivities to materials, and shipping costs to transport the mattress for inspection or repair. Claims are handled by contacting the store, which arranges inspection and repair or replacement.

The separate Lifetime Comfort Guarantee covers free in-home firmness adjustments for the life of the mattress. Adjustable power bases are sold but no base warranty is published.

  1. Strip the bed down to the mattress and wait a few hours so the top layers can recover.
  2. Lay a straight edge (a broom handle or long level) across the dip, resting on the flat parts.

Customer reviews and complaints

Why this matters to you: Star ratings depend on who posts and where. Read the low-star reviews for patterns, not just the average.

As of Sept 2026, no lawsuits, BBB complaints or negative press were found. The site displays a Trustindex Google reviews widget showing 350 Google reviews with a verified badge, which requires a score above 4.5. Google Maps shows 379 reviews for the shop and chamberofcommerce.com lists a 5.0 average from 352 reviews with a breakdown of 346 five-star, 3 four-star, 1 three-star, 0 two-star and 2 one-star.

Named testimonials on the site include high-wire artist Nik Wallenda, former MLB pitcher Chris Tillman and a local pastor's organic mattress story. Recurring praise: owner Sandy's patience, same-week build and delivery, old-bed removal, free firmness adjustments and factory-direct value. Recurring theme among the few low ratings is not published in detail.

All ratings come from local Google and aggregator reviews rather than independent lab testing; a Yelp profile exists and no BBB profile was found.

What are the mattresses made of?

Why this matters to you: Layer names say little without numbers. Ask what is inside your exact model, layer by layer.

Pocketed coil cores branded American Comfort 800 (Paradise) and American Comfort 2000 (Cloud 11th, Diamond, Infinity, SRQ), some 3-zoned for targeted support. Specialty foams: Cloud FOM, pulse latex, hypo-allergenic latex, Energex and Energex Comfy Foam. The Cloud 11th adds a 2.5 inch mini comfort coil micro-coil layer; the Infinity adds a steel-encased edge; reinforced or foam-reinforced perimeters appear throughout.

Covers are breathable cooling knits with zippered, serviceable access, and the site references organic cotton zipper covers plus Quantum Edge Elite lumbar support for its comfort adjustment service. FAQ states foams are CertiPUR-US certified and covers can be organic cotton; the Better Sleep page references Leggett and Platt innersprings. All mattresses are made in the Sarasota factory and are adjustable-base ready.

Not published: overall thickness, foam densities, coil counts, and higher certifications such as GOTS, Oeko-Tex or GREENGUARD.

Where can you try and buy the mattresses?

Why this matters to you: Where you buy sets the price, the trial and who handles problems. Check the seller's terms, not just the brand's.

One place, by design: the factory showroom at 4051 Clark Rd, Sarasota, FL 34233, where you can test every model, see the factory floor behind the showroom glass and talk to owner Sandy. Order by phone at 941-921-7771 or 941-340-7278, through the Contact Sales form on unlimitedcomfort.co, or in person. Hours are Monday to Friday 10 AM to 6 PM, Saturday 10 AM to 5 PM, Sunday closed.

There is no online store, no retailer network and no Amazon, Wayfair or Costco listings found; the business describes itself as selling exclusively from its Sarasota showroom, with delivery across Southwest Florida and beyond, including Sarasota, Bradenton, Lakewood Ranch, Venice, North Port, Naples, Tampa Bay-area cities, Parrish, Palmetto, Englewood and the barrier islands.

Chapter 12

Unlimited Comfort vs. other mattress brands

Why this matters to you: A fair comparison needs the same facts for both beds. Line up price, trial and warranty for each one.

Unlimited Comfort competes on factory-direct value and service rather than scale. Against national brands it offers hand-built construction, split queen and split head sizes, custom RV and boat work and free lifetime firmness adjustments, but gives up nationwide retail presence, online ordering, published return windows and published spec sheets.

Against bed-in-a-box DTC brands it offers in-person testing, serviceable zippered covers, larger and odd sizes and no shipping wait, but no 100-night trial. Against other Sarasota-area stores it is a six-time local Reader's Choice winner, per its March 2026 blog post, and its Yelp listing cites a 2019 Sarasota Chamber Retail Business of the Year honor.

Against premium latex hybrids, materials look similar, latex over pocketed coils, at lower factory-direct starting prices of $998 to $1,788. The trade-off is geographic: service and delivery are built around Southwest Florida, and independent testing of its beds does not exist.

More brand reviews to compare: Ultrabed, United Springs Mattress Co, United States Watermattress, US Truck Mattress, Van Vorst Mattress, Vaya Sleep.

Competitor details reflect published prices and specs on the date shown. Mattress brands may update prices and trial terms over time.
Chapter 13

How we research and report

This page is an early draft built from our research sheet for Unlimited Comfort. We read the brand's own pages and public listings, and we do not test mattresses ourselves. Fields marked "Not yet researched" are still being checked.

We started with the official site in Sept 2026: home, mattress-types, all five standard model pages, the custom RV and boat page, FAQ, warranty, delivery, power bases, about, testimonials, award blog posts and the RV size guide. We then checked third-party listings, including Google Maps, Yelp and chamberofcommerce.com, and searched for independent reviews, complaints and BBB records.

Maker claims are labeled as claims; outside findings are labeled as such. Prices are published starting-at figures only; anything unpublished, such as thicknesses, foam densities, trial terms and refund windows, is marked not published rather than estimated. No hands-on testing or factory visit was performed, and review counts reflect what those platforms displayed in Sept 2026.

Buying and policies

Can I try the mattresses before buying?

Yes, at the Sarasota showroom; there is no home trial and no online trial.

How much do they cost?

Starting prices run $998 to $1,788 depending on model, and custom RV or boat mattresses are quoted by phone.

Do they deliver outside Florida?

The FAQ says shipping is free within the continental US, but white-glove local delivery is focused within about 50 miles of Sarasota.

What if I want the bed softer or firmer later?

The free Lifetime Comfort Guarantee sends technicians to adjust firmness in your home, repeatedly, for as long as you own the mattress.

Do they make RV, boat and odd-size mattresses?

Yes, custom work is a specialty, including split queen, split head and unusual shapes such as a 51 inch sailboat mattress.

Is there a warranty and what about returns?

A 15-year warranty covers defects and sagging over 1.5 inches, but no return-for-refund window is published, so ask before ordering.
