The 30-Second Verdict: Quick Summary

Vivetique is a family-run organic mattress maker in Los Angeles County. It was founded in 1917 in Pasadena and has been organic since 1989. Its six adult mattresses cost $2,001 to $7,491. They're built from latex, wool, organic cotton and recycled-steel coils, with no polyurethane. You get a 10-year warranty and free shipping in the contiguous US. It suits you if you want no synthetics. The big drawbacks are that there's no sleep trial, no returns, and no named certification standard.

Chapter 01

Is Vivetique Sleep Systems the best mattress for you?

GOOD FIT: shoppers who want a mattress with zero polyurethane foam, polyester or petroleum-based materials, and who take the brand's no-synthetics material list at face value; latex loyalists who want a firm organic Dunlap core with softer natural Talalay comfort layers rather than memory foam; buyers wanting a genuinely low-profile, one-slab firm latex bed (Single Layer, from $2,480 mattress-only in Twin) or a factory-made custom size or shape, since custom orders are a stated specialty; vegans and wool-sensitive sleepers, because a certified-organic cotton cover with no wool is offered by request and the crib mattresses have a Vegan material selection; Los Angeles-area buyers, who get Vivetique's own delivery team setting the mattress up in the home at no extra cost within parts of Northern and Southern California; crib and nursery shoppers who want a foam-free latex or recycled-steel innerspring crib mattress ($755 and $675); wholesale, hospitality, college, hospital and retreat buyers, since white-label and custom manufacturing are offered; and shoppers who would rather phone a small family business (1-800-365-6563, orders@vivetique.com) than buy from a large DTC platform.

POOR FIT: anyone who wants to lie on the mattress before paying, because showroom and factory visits are by appointment only and no dealer store list is published anywhere on the site; shoppers who expect a risk-free sleep trial, because the official FAQ states plainly that they do not accept returns and do not offer refunds, with only a one-time 30-day comfort exchange and shipping charges paid by the customer; custom-order buyers in particular, because custom orders carry additional restrictions and explicitly no refunds; budget shoppers, since adult mattresses run $2,001 to $7,491 and the cheapest queen is $3,166; impatient buyers, because standard lead time is 10 business days for non-custom items and an authorized retailer lists roughly 3-6 weeks for made-to-order, so nobody should count on next-day or even next-week delivery; anyone who needs documented third-party organic certification, because no GOLS, GOTS, OEKO-TEX, GREENGUARD, CertiPUR-US, eco-INSTITUT or USDA seal, standard or certificate number is named on any page we checked, and the FAQ itself says partner plantations were still transitioning from 100% Natural to Certified Organic; people who want old-mattress removal as a free standard service, since removal is listed among items that may incur charges and only a Mattress Recycling Council partnership is mentioned; and shoppers who want published firmness ratings, ILD values or weight limits, because the brand publishes none.

Chapter 02

Comfort and firmness: which mattress fits you

Why this matters to you: Feel names are the brand's words, not measurements. Use them to shortlist two or three beds, then let your body decide.

The brand publishes no sleeping-position, weight or firmness guidance and no firmness scale, ILD values, density figures or weight limits on any page, so the guidance below is drawn from each product's own description plus the brand's general latex claims, and is labelled as such.

BACK AND STOMACH SLEEPERS: the firmest options are the Single Layer Organic Latex Mattress (one firm certified-organic Dunlap slab, the lowest-profile and firmest bed, from $2,480) and the Cotton+Wool innerspring, described as springy yet firm (from $2,330); the firm Dunlap cores in the Hybrid, Duo and Trio also give a firm base under a softer surface.

Latex backers cite the material's 'body-balancing' quality and 'contouring support' for spinal alignment, which is the brand's own framing rather than tested data.

SIDE SLEEPERS AND PRESSURE-POINT SENSITIVE SLEEPERS: the softer end of the range is the Duo Latex (firm organic Dunlap core with a soft natural Talalay top, pillow-top feel, from $3,269), and above it the Trio Latex, which the brand calls even softer and plusher than the Duo because it uses Talalay on both faces (from $3,717); the Hybrid also adds Talalay over a coil base for a 'supportive and soft' feel (from $2,001).

COMBINATION SLEEPERS: the Duo and Hybrid are the natural middle ground, since the firm core resists sinking while the Talalay layer cushions rotating shoulders and hips.

HOT AND COLD SLEEPERS: every adult model is quilted with organic wool between organic cotton layers, and the brand states the wool dissipates heat in summer and retains it in winter, so temperature regulation is the wool quilting's stated job; the vegan cotton-only covers remove that wool layer, so hot sleepers who want maximum breathability may prefer the standard wool-quilted cover while wool-sensitive or vegan sleepers should expect a different temperature feel.

COUPLES: the Trio's zippered cover allows layer re-arrangement, which is the closest the range comes to split-firmness adjustment, and King and Cal King are the same price in every model, (for example Duo Queen $4,983 versus King $6,562); no split-firmness or dual-comfort build is published.

KIDS, DORMS AND GUEST ROOMS: the Cotton+Wool innerspring is the brand's own stated pick for Twin and Twin XL kids' rooms and dorm rooms, and the Tufted Cotton+Wool adds plushness for a guest bed; the brand also sells an Organic Wool Puddle Pad by phone for children who still have night-time accidents.

NURSERY: the Organic Latex Crib Bed ($755) is the firm six-inch latex option and the Organic Inner Spring Crib Mattress ($675) is the 280-coil option, both foam-free and both available with a no-wool Vegan build.

FOUNDATION GUIDANCE: the brand states it highly recommends a foundation with every latex mattress because it provides needed support and ventilation, and that using a foundation is what keeps the 10-year warranty in effect; for the innerspring models it recommends an organic wool pad plus a box spring or foundation.

GAPS: there is no trial to discover your own answer, no showroom to lie on a bed, and no published firmness or weight guidance, so a phone call to 1-800-365-6563 before ordering is effectively the only fit-matching mechanism the brand offers. Not published as of Sept 2026: model-level firmness ratings, ILD values, density figures, weight limits, sleeper-weight recommendations and any split-firmness or dual-comfort option.

Which Vivetique Sleep Systems feel fits you?

Weight chart not yet researched

Weight and sleep position can change how a bed feels. We have not yet checked whether Vivetique Sleep Systems publishes a fit chart by body weight, so use a trial, where one is offered, to test the bed the way you sleep at home.

Four alignment checkpoints against a neutral posture line Neck Shoulders Lower back Hips level with spine sink in, no pinch no gap below no sag Straight spine line
  1. Neck: on your side, your nose should line up with the middle of your chest, not tip up or down.
  2. Shoulders: your bottom shoulder should sink in. Tingling or a numb arm means the bed is too firm for you.
  3. Lower back: on your back, slide a flat hand under your waist. A big gap means too firm; no room at all can mean too soft.
  4. Hips: ask someone to look from the side. Hips lower than shoulders means the bed is too soft for you.
Figure 2.1: Four checks to run in a store, lying still in the position you sleep in most. The store test in chapter 11 says how long to lie on each bed.
Chapter 03

Compare the mattresses

Why this matters to you: Models from one brand can differ in feel, height and layers. Match the feel label and height to how you sleep before you compare prices.

Vivetique Sleep Systems lists 8 models. Feel names are the brand's labels.

SIX ADULT MATTRESSES, EACH SOLD MATTRESS-ONLY OR WITH A FOUNDATION OR BOX SPRING ADDED AT CHECKOUT. Prices below are the mattress-only variant prices read from each product page (Twin / Twin XL / Full / Queen / King / Cal King), so they exclude foundation and box-spring upcharges. (1) SINGLE LAYER ORGANIC LATEX MATTRESS - $2,480 / $2,918 / $3,349 / $3,759 / $4,983 / $4,983.

The entry firm latex bed and the lowest-profile option: one layer of certified-organic Dunlop latex (spelling), described as firm, wrapped in a quilted cover of organic wool between two layers of certified-organic cotton, with cotton and wool on all sides and the bottom rather than only the top. A wool-free vegan cotton cover is available by request. It is vertically symmetrical, so it can be turned and flipped.

Delivered rolled in a box via the brand's Easy-Ship method. Best for back and stomach sleepers and anyone wanting a firm, thin, no-foam bed. (2) DUO LATEX MATTRESS (product-page/soft-latex-mattress) - $3,269 / $3,927 / $4,523 / $4,983 / $6,562 / $6,562.

The brand's self-described best seller and its most popular two-layer build: a firm certified-organic Dunlap latex core with a softer 100% natural Talalay latex top layer, so it feels like a pillow-top while reaching the same overall thickness as a traditional mattress. Organic wool quilted between organic cotton surrounds it; vegan cotton-only cover available by request.

Because it is not vertically symmetrical the brand says do not flip it, only turn it periodically. Rolled and shipped in a box. Best for sleepers who want latex support with a plush surface. (3) TRIO LATEX MATTRESS (product-page/ultra-soft-latex-mattress) - $3,717 / $4,294 / $5,419 / $5,716 / $7,491 / $7,491.

The most expensive and softest model: a firm certified-organic Dunlap latex central core with 100% natural Talalay latex layers top and bottom, built into a zippered organic cotton cover so owners can unzip it and re-arrange the latex layers to change feel (the brand notes most customers keep the original configuration). Vertically symmetrical, so it can be turned and flipped.

This is the model for sleepers who want maximum plushness plus a small amount of self-adjustability. (4) HYBRID MATTRESS (LATEX + INNER SPRING) (product-page/latex-inner-spring-combination) - $2,001 / $2,530 / $2,748 / $3,166 / $4,048 / $4,048 mattress-only; with matching box spring the same page lists Twin $2,997, Twin XL $3,612, Full $3,915, Queen $4,593, King $6,211, Cal King $6,211.

The cheapest adult model: an innerspring base made of recycled metal topped with a layer of 100% natural Talalay latex, the whole core wrapped in two layers of organic cotton and two layers of organic wool and sheathed in a quilted organic cotton cover. The brand says the recycled-metal innerspring base will not sag and that the mattress is supportive and soft. Not vertically symmetrical, so turn but do not flip.

Pairs with a box spring or foundation. Best value entry into latex comfort. (5) COTTON+WOOL MATTRESS (product-page/inner-spring-mattress) - $2,330 / $2,642 / $2,821 / $3,155 / $3,736 / $3,736 mattress-only; with matching box spring the page lists Twin $3,326, Twin XL $3,724, Full $3,988, Queen $4,582, King $5,899, Cal King $5,899.

The all-fiber, no-latex innerspring: a recycled-metal innerspring base wrapped in two layers of organic cotton and two layers of organic wool, with a quilted organic cotton cover. Described as springy yet firm, and the brand says it sells many Twin and Twin XL units for kids' rooms and dorm rooms, which makes it the practical children's choice.

Should be flipped and turned periodically. (6) TUFTED COTTON+WOOL MATTRESS (product-page/deluxe-inner-spring) - $3,600 / $3,708 / $3,708 / $4,098 / $4,614 / $4,614 mattress-only; with matching box spring the page lists Twin $4,786, Twin XL $4,854, Full $5,022, Queen $5,608, King $6,820, Cal King $6,820.

Takes the Cotton+Wool build upmarket with an innerspring base wrapped in eight layers of organic cotton and two layers of organic wool and a quilted organic cotton cover, plus tufting; the extra cotton makes it more plush and the tufting makes it feel more supportive. Should be flipped and turned. CRIB MATTRESSES (TWO). (7) ORGANIC LATEX CRIB BED (product-page/latex-crib-bed) - $755.

Six inches of firm organic Dunlap latex wrapped in a quilted cover blending organic wool and organic cotton; the brand positions it directly against mainstream crib foams filled with benzene, styrene and other petroleum polymers, and offers a Vegan build by choosing no wool. (8) ORGANIC INNER SPRING CRIB MATTRESS (product-page/inner-spring-crib-bed) - $675.

A 280-coil innerspring base wrapped in organic wool and organic cotton layers with a quilted organic cotton cover, again with a Vegan option. TOPPERS AND SLEEP ACCESSORIES, for completeness. Plush Latex Topper, natural Talalay latex core with quilted organic wool and organic cotton, $989 / $1,113 / $1,188 / $1,378 / $1,557 / $1,557.

Firm Latex Topper, certified-organic Dunlap latex core with the same wool and cotton quilting, $1,044 / $1,138 / $1,174 / $1,254 / $1,452 / $1,452. Standard and Ultra wool toppers, plus molded latex, pasta latex, kapok, wool and organic cotton pillows. Foundations, box springs and adjustable slat frames are sold as options and are covered in organic cotton over FSC-certified wood.

MODEL NOTES AND GAPS: the brand also says most products can be made vegan-friendly, custom sizes and shapes are a stated specialty including pet beds and medical-device items, and the homepage shows a 2023-era Rest Naturally identity.

GAPS: no model-level firmness scale, no ILD or density figures, no weight limits, no thickness figures except the crib's 6 inches, and no model-level reviews are published anywhere by the brand, so every price and spec above comes from the brand's own product pages and its retailer listing rather than independent measurement.

Legacy model names still sold by an authorized retailer (Maple Grace) include Dream Lite, All Natural Pedic, Natural Latex Mattress, Natural Latex with organic cotton cover and Innerspring with organic cotton and Pure Grow Wool; these names do not appear on the current vivetique.com, so model naming has clearly changed and old reviews may refer to configurations that no longer exist.

Chapter 04

Prices checked Sept 2026 · recheck before buying

Mattress prices and value

Why this matters to you: A starting price can rise with size, base and delivery. Get the full price for your size in writing before you choose.

PRICE BANDS, read from the brand's own live product pages (mattress-only, size by size). CHEAPEST TO MOST EXPENSIVE: crib mattresses run $675 (Organic Inner Spring Crib) and $755 (Organic Latex Crib). Adult mattresses start at $2,001 for the Hybrid in Twin and climb to $7,491 for the Trio Latex in King or Cal King.

By model, mattress-only: Hybrid $2,001 Twin, $2,530 Twin XL, $2,748 Full, $3,166 Queen, $4,048 King, $4,048 Cal King; Cotton+Wool innerspring $2,330 / $2,642 / $2,821 / $3,155 / $3,736 / $3,736; Single Layer Organic Latex $2,480 / $2,918 / $3,349 / $3,759 / $4,983 / $4,983; Duo Latex $3,269 / $3,927 / $4,523 / $4,983 / $6,562 / $6,562; Tufted Cotton+Wool $3,600 / $3,708 / $3,708 / $4,098 / $4,614 / $4,614; Trio Latex $3,717 / $4,294 / $5,419 / $5,716 / $7,491 / $7,491.

In every model King and Cal King are priced identically, which is unusually favourable for King buyers. TOPPERS ADD ON: Plush Latex Topper $989 to $1,557 and Firm Latex Topper $1,044 to $1,452 depending on size, with wool toppers below those.

FOUNDATIONS, BOX SPRINGS AND ADJUSTABLE SLAT FRAMES COST EXTRA AND ARE SELECTED AT CHECKOUT; for reference, adding the matching box spring raises the Hybrid to $2,997-$6,211 and the Tufted Cotton+Wool to $4,786-$6,820 depending on size, so a foundation can add roughly $400-$2,200.

WHAT YOU GET FOR THE MONEY: overnight shipping is free in most circumstances to the 48 contiguous states, delivered curbside from the factory, which protects the value at these price points; the mattresses are hand-built to order in Los Angeles County by a company that has been making mattresses since 1917 and has been organic since 1989; the material bill is genuinely unusual, with no polyurethane foam, no polyester, no petroleum-based materials, organic cotton and wool quilting on all sides and the bottom of the cover, organic Dunlap latex from Sri Lanka, natural Talalay latex from Belgium and recycled-steel innerspring cores, plus FSC-certified wood in the foundations.

VALUE READ VERSUS RIVALS: pricing sits squarely in the US organic-latex bracket alongside Savvy Rest, Sleep on Latex, PlushBeds, My Green Mattress and Naturepedic, and the entry firm latex bed at $2,480 Twin is competitive for a single-slab organic Dunlap build; the Duo at $4,983 Queen and the Trio at $5,716 Queen are premium numbers, and at those prices most DTC rivals bundle a risk-free sleep trial, free returns and a longer warranty, none of which Vivetique offers.

The value case therefore rests on US hand-building, a 1917 provenance, a wool-quilted all-natural cover and custom-size capability rather than on price, trial protection or documented certification.

THE HONEST VERDICT ON VALUE: no returns, no refunds and a 30-day one-time exchange with shipping charges paid by the customer is a materially weaker value proposition than any mainstream competitor at $2,000-$7,500, because a comfort mistake is expensive to unwind; conversely there is no cheaper way to get a genuinely polyurethane-free, custom-made American latex mattress with organic cotton and wool on all four sides.

The brand's homepage shows 'sale price' framing on core products (Duo from $3,269, Hybrid from $2,001, Plush Latex Topper from $989) but no standing discount programme, financing or price-match policy is published. Not published as of Sept 2026: MSRP or compare-at pricing, financing options, bundle discounts, trade-in credit, and any independent price-to-durability benchmarking.

Chapter 05

How well do the mattresses hold up?

Why this matters to you: A mattress is a long buy. Lean on the written warranty and real owner reports to judge how it will last.

DURABILITY AND WHAT THE WARRANTY ACTUALLY PROMISES. WARRANTY LENGTHS, from the official FAQ: all mattresses 10 years; latex topper 5 years; toppers excluding latex 1 year; pillows 1 year; comforters 1 year.

The FAQ states the brand warrants that its products will be free from manufacturer defects in materials and production, that warranty dates run from the date of original purchase, that the warranty is offered to the original purchaser only and is not transferable, and that the warranty is in effect only if products are not abused or damaged or stained by the customer.

SAG AND SUPPORT CONDITIONS: the FAQ defines acceptable use for mattresses as including, but not limited to, being used on a consistently flat, horizontal surface that supports the entire structure, providing ample ventilation, and only being used as it was designed to be used, and the product pages add that a foundation with every latex mattress is highly recommended and is what ensures the 10-year warranty is in effect.

So the durability promise is conditional on using the brand's own recommended foundation, which is sold separately and adds roughly $400-$2,200 depending on size and model. NO SAG THRESHOLD IS PUBLISHED: there is no stated body-impression or sag depth figure such as 1 inch or 1.5 inches that would trigger a replacement, no proration schedule, no flat-rate repair or replacement fee, and no statement about who pays shipping on a warranty claim.

Not published as of Sept 2026.

BRAND-REPORTED DURABILITY CLAIMS, LABELLED AS BRAND CLAIMS: the innerspring cores are described as made of recycled metal and will not sag; the wool-quilted organic cotton covers are credited with moisture protection; the brand states the cover includes cotton and wool on all sides and the bottom rather than only the top, which is a real durability-adjacent detail because it protects the side walls and underside; the brand recommends rotating mattresses periodically and flipping where the design allows, and specifies that the Single Layer and the Trio are vertically symmetrical and can be turned and flipped while the Duo and the Hybrid are not vertically symmetrical and should be turned but not flipped, and that the Cotton+Wool and Tufted Cotton+Wool should be flipped and turned as needed.

CARE RULES THAT AFFECT LONGEVITY: do not machine wash any product; vacuum and air out the mattress periodically; use a mattress topper for longest usage; spot clean only, and call the brand first about cleaning specific products; and expect a natural scent from unbleached, unprocessed materials on arrival that dissipates after airing out. INDEPENDENT DURABILITY TESTING: NONE FOUND.

There is no RTINGS lab data, no Consumer Reports test, no pressure-mapping or rollator testing, no foam-density or latex-durability measurement and no long-term owner durability study that we could locate for Vivetique as of Sept 2026, and none of the major mattress review sites we checked (Mattress Clarity, Sleep Foundation, Tuck, The Mattress Underground) have published any Vivetique coverage at all.

HANDMADE TOLERANCE: an authorized retailer's listing states the mattresses are handmade and can vary up to 1 inch in size, which is a normal handmade-mattress caveat but worth knowing at these prices.

OUR DURABILITY READ: the material set (organic Dunlap and Talalay latex plus steel coils, with no polyurethane) is inherently a longer-lived combination than foam beds, and the 10-year warranty matches or beats most mainstream brands, though it trails the 20-25 year or lifetime warranties some organic rivals offer; the real risk is not the build but the warranty's conditionality and the absence of any published sag threshold, claims procedure or independent test, combined with no trial and no returns, which means a durability problem is harder for a buyer to resolve than with a brand that publishes those terms.

Chapter 06

Sleep trials, returns, exchanges and fees

Why this matters to you: Feel is hard to judge in a store or in a week. Know your exit plan and its cost before you pay.

. THE HEADLINE, STATED PLAINLY BY THE BRAND: there is no sleep trial, there are no returns and there are no refunds. The official FAQ says We want you to find the most comfortable sleep possible and we offer an exchange policy only.

We don't accept returns. It adds that the company does not offer refunds on its products, but will do everything it can to help find the right product from the product line if there is an issue with comfort. WHAT YOU DO GET: a one-time comfort exchange within 30 days of receipt of your products, with shipping charges applying, meaning the customer pays to send the mattress back and very likely to receive the replacement.

There is no published trial period longer than that, no free trial night count, no money-back guarantee window and no restocking-fee schedule because returns are simply not accepted.

CUSTOM ORDERS ARE STRICTER: the FAQ states that custom orders may be subject to additional restrictions regarding returns and that refunds are not available on custom orders, which matters because custom sizing is one of the brand's main selling points, so the more bespoke your order the less recourse you have.

HOW A COMFORT PROBLEM IS ACTUALLY RESOLVED: by phone or email conversation rather than by a returns portal, which is why the FAQ routes payment, warranty and shipping questions to 1-800-365-6563 and orders@vivetique.com.

The brand's own framing is that it will help you find the right product from its line, and it sells toppers ($989-$1,557 for latex, less for wool) plus wool pads as the recommended remedy for comfort issues, so the practical outcome of an uncomfortable purchase is often buying an accessory rather than returning the bed.

THE RETAILER PATH DIFFERS SLIGHTLY: an authorized retailer's listing for a Vivetique model describes a 10 year warranty and a 30 day comfort exchange policy for that product, consistent with the brand's own terms, so the 30-day one-time exchange appears to be the uniform policy across channels rather than something a dealer can extend.

WHAT HAPPENS ON ARRIVAL, PER THE FAQ: air out the mattress or bedding after removing all shipping material, because the materials do not go through harsh bleaching or other chemical processes and the finished products sometimes carry a natural scent, which is described as normal and which dissipates after airing out, with timing varying by personal taste and environment.

CARE OBLIGATIONS THAT SIT ALONGSIDE THE EXCHANGE AND WARRANTY TERMS: do not machine wash any product, use pillowcases and duvet covers for pillows and comforters, spot clean mattresses and toppers only and call the brand for advice about specific products and health needs, vacuum and air out mattresses periodically, and rotate and flip as directed, with the warning that a layered latex mattress should only be turned and not flipped, and the specific product-page guidance that the Duo and the Hybrid are not vertically symmetrical and should be turned but not flipped while the Single Layer and the Trio can be turned and flipped.

RISK SUMMARY: a 30-day one-time exchange with customer-paid shipping, no returns, no refunds and stricter terms on custom orders is the weakest risk-reversal package in the $2,000-$7,500 mattress bracket, where 100-night trials and free returns are the norm; buyers should treat the phone consultation before ordering as the substitute for a trial.

Not published as of Sept 2026: any sleep trial or home-trial period, any return window, any refund mechanism, any restocking fee, any exchange fee amount in dollars, any number of permitted exchanges beyond one, and any explicit statement about who pays return freight beyond the phrase shipping charges will apply.

Chapter 07

Delivery, setup and old-mattress removal

Why this matters to you: Delivery terms decide your first week with the bed. Confirm the date, setup and old-bed removal before you pay.

. COST: the FAQ states the brand can deliver to your home at no charge in most circumstances, applying to most deliveries from its factory in southern California to addresses in the 48 contiguous United States, and the homepage confirms Free Shipping in the Contiguous US.

IMPORTANT LIMIT: this free service is curbside delivery to your address only, and the FAQ notes that certain island communities in the contiguous US may need to be charged a nominal shipping fee. CIRCUMSTANCES THAT MAY INCUR CHARGES, per the FAQ: going up flights of stairs, over balconies or other obstacles, setting up or removing a mattress, and navigating unimproved roads.

The brand adds that it has delivered in unusual circumstances and will make every attempt to get products to you. SPEED: each item is hand-crafted to order and shipping times vary by region or if a special order was requested; for standard delivery the FAQ asks customers to allow 10 business days for non-custom items, and rush delivery is available.

There is a real discrepancy to flag: an authorized retailer's listing for a Vivetique model states mattresses are made to order and take approximately 3-6 weeks for delivery, so buyers outside the brand's own delivery footprint should plan on the longer end.

METHOD: latex mattresses are delivered with the brand's Easy-Ship method, rolled tightly and shipped in a smaller-than-normal box which reduces shipping costs and resources; the innerspring models and retailer-fulfilled orders ship via common carrier.

Per the authorized retailer listing, with common carrier the delivery people generally do not bring items inside your home and do not take packaging away, and those services may be available for an additional fee, so curbside really does mean curbside unless you are in the brand's own local delivery area.

WHITE-GLOVE AND IN-HOME SETUP: the brand's own site does not advertise white-glove service, but the authorized retailer states that mattresses shipped to certain locations within Northern and Southern California will be delivered by the Vivetique delivery team, who set up the mattress in the home at no extra cost; outside that footprint, expect curbside and arrange your own help.

OLD-MATTRESS REMOVAL: the official FAQ states We partner with the Mattress Recycling Council when removing customers' old mattresses, and removal is listed among the circumstances that may incur shipping charges. So removal exists, is tied to a recognised recycling programme rather than a landfill, and is not published as a free standard service.

Not published as of Sept 2026: an old-mattress removal fee schedule, whether removal must be ordered at the time of purchase, whether removal is available outside the local delivery area, any removal scheduling window, and any haul-away requirement such as bagging or wrapping the old mattress.

INTERNATIONAL: the FAQ states most customers find international shipping costs prohibitive, but the brand is willing to make arrangements to ship to many international destinations.

FRAMES, BASES AND FOUNDATIONS: foundations, box springs and adjustable slat frames are offered as checkout options; foundations use Forest Stewardship Council-certified wood with an organic cotton cover; the brand highly recommends a foundation with every latex mattress for support and ventilation and states this is what ensures the 10-year warranty is in effect, and for the innerspring models it recommends an organic wool pad plus a box spring or foundation.

Adding the matching base materially changes price: the Hybrid rises from $2,001-$4,048 mattress-only to $2,997-$6,211 with a matching box spring, and the Tufted Cotton+Wool from $3,600-$4,614 to $4,786-$6,820.

MATTRESS DIMENSIONS the brand publishes: Twin 39 x 76 inches, Twin XL 39 x 80, Full 54 x 76, Queen 60 x 80, King 76 x 80, Cal King 72 x 84; an authorized retailer's listing for a Vivetique model gives slightly different figures (Twin 38 x 74, Twin XL 38 x 79, Full 53 x 74, Queen 60 x 79, King 76 x 79, Cal King 72 x 84), and notes handmade mattresses can vary up to 1 inch in size. Custom sizes are available by phone.

Not published as of Sept 2026: frame weight limits, slat spacing requirements, whether an adjustable base voids the warranty, and assembly instructions for the foundations.

Typical wait: 3 to 6 weeks

Terms checked on the brand's site · recheck before you buy

What do the warranties cover?

Why this matters to you: A warranty is only as good as its terms. Read the written terms and use a supported base, because the wrong frame can end coverage.

WHAT THE WARRANTIES COVER. LENGTH BY PRODUCT, from the official FAQ: all mattresses 10 years; latex topper 5 years; toppers excluding latex 1 year; pillows 1 year; comforters 1 year.

THE ACTUAL PROMISE: the brand warrants that its products will be free from manufacturer defects in materials and production, which is a defects-only warranty rather than a performance or comfort guarantee, so a mattress that simply feels wrong is not a warranty matter and falls back to the 30-day comfort exchange instead.

START DATE AND TRANSFERABILITY: warranty dates run from the date of original purchase, and the warranty is offered to the original purchaser only and is not transferable, which means resale or gifting ends coverage and a second-hand buyer has nothing.

CONDITIONS THAT VOID IT: the warranty is in effect only if products are not abused or damaged or stained by the customer, and the FAQ defines acceptable use for mattresses as including, but not limited to, being used on a consistently flat, horizontal surface that supports the entire structure, providing ample ventilation, and only being used as it was designed to be used.

The product pages sharpen this into a practical requirement, stating that the brand highly recommends a foundation with every latex mattress because it provides needed support and ventilation, and that this will ensure the 10-year warranty is in effect, so the foundation the brand sells separately is effectively a warranty prerequisite for latex models.

EXCLUSIONS WE COULD CONFIRM: abuse, customer-caused damage and staining; and an authorized retailer's listing for a Vivetique model adds that the warranty covers manufacturer's defects only and that allergies are not covered.

Not published as of Sept 2026: a full exclusions list for mattresses, a body-impression or sag depth threshold that would qualify as a defect (for example 1 inch or 1.5 inches), any proration schedule over the 10 years, any flat-rate repair or replacement fee, any statement on whether the customer or the brand pays shipping on a warranty claim, and any comfort or firmness guarantee of any kind. CLAIMS PROCESS: Not published as of Sept 2026.

There is no published returns or warranty claim procedure, no RMA form, no claims email address distinct from orders@vivetique.com, no response-time commitment and no escalation path beyond the general customer service phone number 1-800-365-6563 and email orders@vivetique.com, which the FAQ lists under Payment and Warranty questions.

Because the BBB profile shows the business as NOT accredited with a Rating of Not Rated and no complaint count displayed, there is also no BBB-mediated warranty or arbitration record to read.

COMPARISON TO THE CATEGORY: 10 years for mattresses is competitive against mainstream brands at similar prices but trails the 20-year, 25-year and lifetime warranties offered by several organic and latex-focused rivals, and the non-transferable clause is stricter than most; combined with no published sag threshold and no claims procedure, the warranty paper is thinner than the price point implies, so a buyer who cares about long-term coverage should ask for the warranty document and the sag threshold in writing before ordering.

Customer reviews and complaints

Why this matters to you: Star ratings depend on who posts and where. Read the low-star reviews for patterns, not just the average.

REVIEWS AND COMPLAINTS. ON THE BRAND'S OWN SITE: none. The current vivetique.com, built on Wix, displays no star ratings, no review widget and no customer testimonials on the homepage, on /mattresses or on any product page, and no testimonials section exists anywhere in the navigation as of Sept 2026.

THIRD-PARTY RATINGS WE COULD VERIFY.

GoodBed: the Vivetique brand carries a customer rating of 81 out of 100 based on 6 ratings; of its four listed product lines, Vivetique Latex is rated 81 based on 5 ratings while Vivetique Innerspring, Vivetique Reveresse and Vivetique Natural Bedroom are all shown as Not rated yet; GoodBed shows no MSRP for any line and has published no GoodBed editorial or expert review of the brand, and the GoodBed page maps nearby stores to unrelated local retailers rather than Vivetique dealers, so its nearby-store tool is not evidence of a Vivetique dealer network.

Yelp: there is a Yelp listing titled VIVETIQUE SLEEP SYSTEMS, Updated July 2025, 10 Reviews, for an Arcadia, CA 91006 business, whose specialties text reads that the family-owned business specializes in making the best organic mattresses and bedding products around and was established in 1917; The Yelp star rating is not published here, the rating distribution or the individual review text, and the star rating is therefore Not published as of Sept 2026.

BBB: Vivetique Sleep Systems is listed at 1111 W Foothill Blvd, Azusa, CA 91702-2871 with a second location at 9620 Klingerman Street, South El Monte, CA 91733; the profile shows the business started 8/31/2001, principal and customer contact Steve Carwile, a primary fax of (626) 452-1590, an additional phone of (877) 344-0640 and the local BBB as BBB of Los Angeles and Silicon Valley; crucially it states this business is NOT a BBB Accredited Business and the BBB Rating is Not Rated, with no reasons for rating and no complaint count displayed and no customer reviews section on the retrieved page, so on BBB's record there is effectively no complaint or review history to read.

REVIEW COVERAGE GAPS: we searched Mattress Clarity, Sleep Foundation, Tuck and The Mattress Underground directly and found zero Vivetique articles, reviews or forum coverage on any of them; no Vivetique review exists on Wirecutter, CNET, Good Housekeeping, AARP or NapLab; GoodBed has no editorial review; and no YouTube or Reddit review we could confirm. That is a genuinely thin public record for a brand selling $2,000-$7,500 mattresses.

COMPLAINT THEMES: with only 6 GoodBed ratings and 10 inaccessible Yelp reviews, there is no statistically meaningful corpus and we will not invent themes.

What we can say with evidence is that the structurally complaint-prone part of this brand is its policy, not its build: the official FAQ states We don't accept returns and We do not offer refunds on our products, offering only a one-time 30-day comfort exchange with shipping charges applying, and adding that custom orders may be subject to additional restrictions with refunds not available on custom orders; because there is no showroom network and no trial, a buyer who guesses wrong has no cheap exit, and that is the single most likely source of dissatisfaction regardless of mattress quality.

We found no published allegations of sagging, premature failure, off-gassing, fibreglass, mould or chemical odour problems for this brand as of Sept 2026, and we also found no published praise beyond the GoodBed 81 and the inaccessible Yelp listing.

A note on the 81 score: 6 ratings is too small a sample to treat as reliable, and a 2023 copyright plus a Rest Naturally footer link that now points to a parked domain suggest the brand's web presence is not actively maintained, which future buyers should factor in when judging after-sales responsiveness.

Chapter 10

What are the mattresses made of?

Why this matters to you: Layer names say little without numbers. Ask what is inside your exact model, layer by layer.

THE MATERIAL BILL. Organic cotton: the FAQ states the cotton is sourced from American farmers, mostly in California but sometimes Texas and Mississippi, and that the brand works through materials brokers who source the purest materials possible. Organic wool: used as a quilted layer between cotton layers and in the cover, described as the temperature regulator that dissipates heat in summer and keeps it close in winter.

The archived pre-2015 site documents a 'Sonoma County Pure Grow Wool' programme said to have been initiated by The Natural Bedroom, following organic agricultural practices with no pesticides on pasture, no chemicals in animal feed, a biodegradable soap for lanolin removal, lanolin recycling at the wash house and low-impact land management; this appears in historical site copy and in a current authorized retailer's product description, but not on the current vivetique.com.

Organic Dunlap latex: the FAQ states the organic Dunlap latex is sourced from Sri Lanka, and the product pages describe it as the firm core material with no additives or fillers. Natural Talalay latex: the FAQ states the 100% natural Talalay latex is sourced from Belgium, used for the softer comfort layers.

Innersprings: described on multiple product pages as made of recycled metal, with a 280-coil core in the innerspring crib mattress; the brand states these coils will not sag. Foundations and box springs: Forest Stewardship Council-certified wood sheathed in an organic cotton cover, per the FAQ and the product pages.

Covers: the brand specifically notes that unlike some manufacturers its cover includes cotton and wool on all sides and the bottom of the mattress, not only the top face, for moisture protection.

WHAT IS DELIBERATELY ABSENT: the FAQ states the company refuses to include materials that use synthetic chemicals and never uses petroleum- or other chemical-based materials as base or filler products, and adds that base materials, support materials, threads and piping are all natural and/or organic.

The FAQ also warns shoppers against greenwashing, noting that a manufacturer may legally call a product Natural Latex when only about 30% is natural with the remainder typically benzene and styrene, and that only individual materials inside a product can be certified at the moment, not finished products.

FIRE PROTECTION: an authorized retailer's listing for a Vivetique model states the wool is naturally flame resistant and that the mattress meets California state and federal fire codes without having been treated with chemical flame retardants; the brand's own pages do not make this statement.

VEGAN OPTIONS: the Duo, Single Layer, Trio, Hybrid and both crib mattresses offer a vegan-friendly certified-organic cotton cover instead of the wool-quilted cover; the Duo, Trio, Single Layer, Plush Topper and crib beds show a Standard or Vegan material selector, and the homepage flags Plush Latex Topper, Duo Latex Mattress and Organic Latex Crib Mattress as Vegan Optional.

CERTIFICATIONS: No third-party certification is named on the brand site. /contact-us, /wholesale, /toppers, /pillows-comforters, /baby-s-room-1 and every product page, and there are zero mentions of GOLS (Global Organic Latex Standard), GOTS, OEKO-TEX, GREENGUARD or GREENGUARD Gold, CertiPUR-US, eco-INSTITUT, USDA Organic, or any certification body or certificate number.

The site does use the words Certified-Organic repeatedly (for example Certified-Organic Dunlap Latex and certified Organic Cotton) but never names the standard, the certifier or the certificate.

This is internally contradictory: the FAQ says our certified-organic latex and certified organic cotton, while the same FAQ says all the plantations we partner with are in the process of transitioning from 100% Natural to Certified Organic, a process that takes at least three years, meaning some input materials were not yet certified organic at the time that page was written.

The site carries a 2023 copyright and the FAQ page itself carries a disclaimer that the contents were written by a fallible human being, so the text is dated.

The archived pre-2015 site did publish a document at /docs/OrganicCottonCertificate.pdf, captured by the Internet Archive; the archived file is a scanned image PDF whose text could not be extracted, so although an organic cotton certificate was once published, its standard, certifier and dates cannot be verified from that document., the OEKO-TEX buying guide and Control Union and either could not access them or found no Vivetique entry, and no organic-latex brand roundup we could retrieve listed Vivetique as a GOLS-certified brand.

BOTTOM LINE ON MATERIALS: the polyurethane-free, polyester-free, petroleum-free build is unusually credible for this category and is described consistently across the site, but the organic certification is a brand claim with no named standard, no certifier and no certificate we could verify as of Sept 2026, and the brand's own FAQ undercuts the claim by describing a transition that was still in progress.

If certification is a purchase condition, request the certificate by phone or email before you buy.

Where can you try and buy the mattresses?

Why this matters to you: Where you buy sets the price, the trial and who handles problems. Check the seller's terms, not just the brand's.

WHERE TO TRY AND BUY. BUY DIRECT: vivetique.com is a live Wix store with cart and checkout. Accepted payment methods per the FAQ: Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express and PayPal, with alternative payment arrangements available by phone.

PHONE AND EMAIL: 1-800-365-6563, listed in the site footer as 8am-6pm PST and on the contact page as 6am-8pm PST, and orders@vivetique.com. The brand explicitly invites custom orders by phone or email and states we specialize in custom orders. MAILING ADDRESS: 3660 Colorado Blvd., #1014, Pasadena, CA 91107.

TRYING ONE IN PERSON: this is the weak point. The contact page states Showroom or factory visit by appointment only, so there is no walk-in showroom; manufacturing is described on the site as hand-crafted in Los Angeles County, California, and the BBB lists operating addresses at 1111 W Foothill Blvd, Azusa, CA 91702-2871 and 9620 Klingerman Street, South El Monte, CA 91733, which are the closest thing to published physical locations.

RETAIL AND DEALER PRESENCE: the wholesale page states The Natural Bedroom is also found in brick-and-mortar retail locations in the U.S., but no dealer list, store locator or retailer names are published anywhere on the site; the wholesale page instead asks interested retailers to call 1-800-365-6563 to learn about the wholesale and retail partnership programme.

This is not new: the archived 2013 Dealer Locator page also declined to list stores, telling visitors TO LOCATE A STORE NEAR YOU - PLEASE CALL (800) 365-6563 or email gomez@vivetique.com. So if you want to see one in a store, you have to phone and ask.

ONE AUTHORIZED ONLINE RETAILER WE COULD CONFIRM: Maple Grace (maplegrace.com/vivetique-organic-bed-mattress/) lists five Vivetique mattresses under older model names, Vivetique Dream Lite Natural Latex Mattress, Vivetique All Natural Pedic Latex Mattress, Vivetique Natural Latex Mattress, Vivetique Natural Latex Mattress Organic Cotton Cover and Vivetique Innerspring Mattress Organic Cotton and Pure Grow Wool, with prices spanning roughly $1,406 to $4,737, and its listings carry useful policy detail the brand's own site omits, including delivery timelines and the note that mattresses shipped to certain locations within Northern and Southern California are delivered by the Vivetique delivery team who set up the mattress in the home at no extra cost.

WHOLESALE, HOSPITALITY AND WHITE LABEL: the site states The Natural Bedroom works with hotels, colleges, hospitals and retreats, offers a wholesale purchasing programme, custom manufacturing and white-label production, and invites retailers to partner.

SIBLING AND LEGACY DIVISIONS: the archived about page states Vivetique is the parent company holding divisions including Reveresse and The Natural Bedroom, and that the company was founded in 1917 in Pasadena as Crown City Mattress before officially becoming Vivetique Sleep Systems in 2002; Reveresse does not appear anywhere on the current site but GoodBed still lists a Vivetique Reveresse product line, and the about page states the company is family-owned with fewer than 20 employees and now sells direct rather than mostly private-label to brick-and-mortar retailers.

SO: ONE FACTORY, ONE OWNER (Steve Carwile), TWO LEGACY BRANDS AND DIVISIONS SHARING THE SAME LOS ANGELES-AREA PRODUCTION, with Reveresse as the dormant sibling line.

Vivetique Sleep Systems vs. other mattress brands

Why this matters to you: A fair comparison needs the same facts for both beds. Line up price, trial and warranty for each one.

BRAND VERSUS OTHER MATTRESS BRANDS.

VERSUS SAVVY REST AND NEST ORGANIC-STYLE LATEX SPECIALISTS: Savvy Rest sells customizable organic latex beds and publishes GOLS and GOTS certification for its latex and cotton, and offers layer-swap customization with a much longer trial; Vivetique undercuts the entry firm latex price at $2,480 Twin mattress-only for a single-slab organic Dunlap build and is stronger on custom sizes and shapes, but Vivetique publishes no named certification standard and no trial, so Savvy Rest wins on documented certification and risk reversal while Vivetique wins on entry price for a firm latex slab and on bespoke manufacturing.

VERSUS SLEEP ON LATEX AND PLUSH BEDS: Sleep on Latex is the value price leader in DTC latex and PlushBeds sells layered latex and hybrid builds, and both publish trials and returns; both beat Vivetique decisively on price per inch of latex, on trial protection and on returns, while Vivetique counters with a 1917 provenance, hand-building in Los Angeles County with fewer than 20 employees, a wool-quilted organic cotton cover that wraps all sides and the bottom, a fully no-polyurethane material bill and a vegan no-wool cover option, so Vivetique is the choice only for buyers who value domestic hand-craft and the all-natural cover over price and trial protection.

VERSUS AVOCADO AND BIRCH-TYPE NATURAL HYBRIDS: Avocado and similar brands publish GOTS-certified organic cotton, GOLS-certified latex and GREENGUARD Gold, offer 100-night trials and 25-year warranties and sell queen hybrids below Vivetique's queen latex prices, so on documented certification, warranty length, trial policy and price they win outright; Vivetique's counter is that its Cotton+Wool and Tufted Cotton+Wool innerspring models contain no foam at all, use recycled-steel coils and wool quilting, and require no certification-marketing leap of faith because the material list is simply fibres, latex and steel, which appeals to buyers who distrust certification labels and want a spring-and-fibre bed rather than another foam hybrid.

VERSUS MAINSTREAM FOAM AND MEMORY FOAM (TEMPUR-PEDIC, SEALY, SERTA, CASPER-TYPE): Vivetique is the anti-foam purchase, with no polyurethane, no memory foam, no synthetic off-gassing and no fibreglass concern, and it uses organic cotton, wool and latex instead, but it costs more than comparable mainstream queens, takes 10 business days to roughly 3-6 weeks to arrive, has no showroom network to test on and offers no trial or returns, so mainstream foam brands win on convenience, on try-before-you-buy and on price at every size, and Vivetique wins only for sleepers who specifically want to avoid foam chemistry.

VERSUS NATUREPEDIC: Naturepedic publishes GOTS, GOLS and MADE SAFE certifications, sells both crib and adult organic mattresses broadly through retail stores and has far deeper third-party verification; Vivetique's foam-free latex crib at $755 and innerspring crib at $675 are competitive on price and both offer vegan builds, but Naturepedic wins on certification transparency, retail availability and no-risk trial terms, so a certification-driven nursery buyer should choose Naturepedic while a fibre-and-latex purist who wants to deal directly with a small family factory can choose Vivetique.

WHERE VIVETIQUE WINS: genuine polyurethane-free, polyester-free, petroleum-free construction; certified-organic cotton and wool quilted on all sides and the bottom rather than only the top; organic Dunlap latex from Sri Lanka and natural Talalay from Belgium; recycled-steel innerspring cores; FSC-certified wood foundations; custom sizes, shapes and white-label manufacturing; free contiguous-US shipping; a 1917 lineage and a family-run Los Angeles-area factory; vegan cover options; and King priced the same as Cal King in every model.

WHERE VIVETIQUE LOSES: no named certification standard or certificate number on any page; no sleep trial, no returns and no refunds, with only a one-time 30-day exchange and customer-paid shipping; a non-transferable warranty with no published sag threshold or claims procedure; no showroom and no published dealer list, so you cannot lie on one first; a thin public review record with the brand's own site showing no reviews at all; pricing that sits at the premium end without the trial or certification that usually justifies it; and the 10-business-day brand claim versus a 3-6-week retailer estimate for made-to-order production.

How we research and report

This page is an early draft built from our research sheet for Vivetique Sleep Systems. We read the brand's own pages and public listings, and we do not test mattresses ourselves. Fields marked "Not yet researched" are still being checked.

. Researched 22 September 2026. Sources as of Sept 2026: vivetique.com homepage plus /mattresses, /about-us, /faq, /contact-us, /wholesale, /toppers, /pillows-comforters and /baby-s-room-1, and every product page (latex mattress, soft latex mattress, ultra-soft latex mattress, latex inner-spring combination, inner-spring mattress, deluxe inner-spring, latex crib bed, inner-spring crib bed, soft latex topper, firm latex topper).

Prices used are mattress-only, without a foundation. No page mentions GOLS, GOTS, Global Organic Latex Standard, OEKO-TEX, GREENGUARD, CertiPUR, eco-INSTITUT, USDA or any certifier or certificate number.

Second, retailers and registries: the authorized retailer Maple Grace (maplegrace.com/vivetique-organic-bed-mattress/ and its individual Vivetique product pages), the Better Business Bureau profiles for Azusa and South El Monte, GoodBed's Vivetique brand and product-line pages, and the Yelp listing.

Third, reviews: brand-site ratings, GoodBed, BBB, Yelp and the specified review sites, where we directly searched Mattress Clarity, Sleep Foundation, Tuck and The Mattress Underground and confirmed each has zero Vivetique coverage rather than assuming it. We also looked at an older (pre-2015) version of vivetique.com, including its about, FAQ, dealer locator and guest book pages, and an organic cotton certificate.

The certificate's contents cannot be read, so we note that it existed but do not treat it as confirming any certification standard, certifier or date. brand claims are labelled as brand claims throughout and never promoted to fact; prices are attributed by model and size and we flag where a figure comes from a retailer rather than the brand; gaps are recorded as Not published as of Sept 2026 rather than filled with plausible guesses, which is why you will see that phrase against the certification standard, the sag threshold, the warranty claims procedure, weight limits, firmness and ILD values, independent durability testing, the dealer list, the old-mattress removal fee schedule, the Yelp star rating and the sleep trial; and where the brand contradicts itself, most notably between the product pages saying Certified-Organic Dunlap Latex and the FAQ saying partner plantations were still transitioning from 100% Natural to Certified Organic, we report the contradiction instead of choosing a side.

The UL SPOT product database, the OEKO-TEX buying guide and Control Union have no Vivetique entry. That means we found no certification record, not proof that none exists. A buyer who needs certainty should request the certificate directly from the brand.

We also note vitality signals for future re-checking rather than treating them as defects: the site is a Wix store carrying a 2023 copyright, the footer brand Rest Naturally points to restnaturally.com which now resolves to a parked searchvity frameset page, the archived 2013 dealer locator already refused to publish a store list, and the about page states the company has fewer than 20 employees, all of which are consistent with a small maker with limited marketing upkeep rather than a brand in obvious distress.

Is the Vivetique latex mattress actually certified organic?

The brand calls its latex Certified-Organic Dunlap and its cotton organic, but it never names a certification standard, a certifying body or a certificate number anywhere on vivetique.com, and its own FAQ says the plantations it partners with were in the process of transitioning from 100% Natural to Certified Organic, a process that takes at least three years. So treat the claim as brand-stated and unverified as of Sept 2026, and ask for the certificate by phone or email before buying if certification is a condition of your purchase.

Can I try a Vivetique mattress before I buy, or see one in a store?

Not really. Showroom and factory visits are by appointment only, no dealer list or store locator is published on the site, and you cannot walk in anywhere, so if you want to see one in a retail store you have to phone 1-800-365-6563 and ask.

What happens if I don't like the mattress after it arrives?

You get a one-time comfort exchange within 30 days of receipt, and shipping charges are on you. There are no returns and no refunds at all, and custom orders may carry additional restrictions with refunds explicitly not available on custom orders, so the brand's phone consultation before ordering is your only real fit-matching tool.

How long does delivery take, what does it cost, and does anyone set it up?

Shipping is free in most circumstances to the 48 contiguous United States, but it is curbside delivery only, and the brand lists possible charges for stairs, balconies, setting up or removing a mattress and unimproved roads. Allow 10 business days for non-custom items with rush delivery available, though an authorized retailer lists approximately 3-6 weeks for made-to-order. Latex models ship rolled in a box via the brand's Easy-Ship method, and the brand's own delivery team will set the mattress up inside the home at no extra cost only in certain locations within Northern and Southern California. Old mattresses are removed in partnership with the Mattress Recycling Council but removal is listed among chargeable circumstances.

What are the mattresses made of, where are they made, and do they contain any foam?

They are hand-built to order in Los Angeles County, California by a family-owned company founded in 1917 in Pasadena as Crown City Mattress, renamed Vivetique Sleep Systems in 2002 and organic since 1989, with fewer than 20 employees. Materials are organic cotton grown in the US, organic wool, certified-organic Dunlap latex from Sri Lanka, 100% natural Talalay latex from Belgium and recycled-metal innersprings, with FSC-certified wood in the foundations. The brand states it uses no polyurethane, no polyester and no petroleum-based materials, and no chemical flame retardants are claimed, with wool providing natural flame resistance.

How long is the warranty, what does it cover, and can I get a wool-free vegan mattress?

All mattresses carry a 10-year warranty, latex toppers 5 years and other toppers, pillows and comforters 1 year, running from the original purchase date to the original purchaser only and non-transferable, covering manufacturer defects in materials and production and void if the product is abused or damaged or stained. Acceptable use requires a consistently flat, horizontal supporting surface with ample ventilation, and the brand states that using a foundation is what keeps the 10-year latex warranty in effect; no sag threshold, proration schedule or claims procedure is published, and an authorized retailer notes allergies are not covered. On vegan builds, yes: a vegan-friendly certified-organic cotton cover can be requested instead of the wool-quilted cover on the Single Layer, Duo, Trio and Hybrid, and both crib mattresses have a Vegan material selection, though the vegan cover is a request path rather than the default.
