The 30-second verdict
Yes, the Nolah Natural is a reasonable choice for most buyers, with one catch for couples: testers disagree on how well it limits movement across the bed. Sleepopolis rated motion isolation, or how much movement reaches a partner, 2/5; Sleep Foundation gave it 6.5/10, and Sleep Advisor 5/5.
If you want organic latex in a two-sided bed, the Saatva Zenhaven is a better fit. The Queen list prices are $3,699.00 for the Saatva Zenhaven and $2,099 for the Nolah Natural.
Buy it only if you want a bed with latex and coils and can accept uncertainty about movement between partners.

Nolah Natural
Sizes7Twin to Split King
Pros
Airflow design. Nolah says its breathable cotton cover, latex with air holes, and individually wrapped coils let air move.
Back and side support. Sleep Foundation rated it 8.5 (Great) for side and back sleepers in the 130-230 lb band.
Latex certifications. GOLS (Global Organic Latex Standard) covers the natural latex, and GREENGUARD Gold covers the mattress.
Cons
Queen weight limit. Nolah recommends no more than 300 lb per side on the Queen, so a sleeper above that limit is outside the stated range.
Cooling results differ. Sleepopolis recorded a 9.5-degree increase after five minutes; Sleep Advisor reported a rise of less than 5 degrees.
Single firmness. It offers one option, Medium-Firm (6), so there is no other feel to choose.
How firm is the Nolah Natural, and which firmness should you pick?
Pick the Nolah Natural if you want its one choice, Medium-Firm (6), rated 6/10 on Nolah’s scale. Sleep Foundation rates it Medium Firm (6). Mattress Clarity gives it 6/10 and calls it slightly softer than average. Sleepopolis tester Riley Otis reports 6.5/10 in back and stomach positions. GoodBed Editorial rates the Nolah Natural 11 Medium (5) on GoodBed’s scale, where 1 is firmest and 9 is softest. Ratings use different scales, so compare each within its own scale. For back or stomach sleepers, Riley Otis’s position-specific reading is a reference, not a promise of fit. If you want a different feel, choose a mattress with another firmness option.

Is the Nolah Natural right for your sleep position and body weight?
The Nolah Natural is a better fit for side and back sleepers at lower weights. Combination sleepers should follow the guidance for the position they use most.
Under 130 pounds: Sleep Foundation says side sleepers are among its best fits and back sleepers get above-average support. It found stomach sleepers in this band well-supported.
130-230 lb band: Sleep Foundation rated it 8.5 (Great) for side and back sleepers, and 7.5 (Good) for stomach sleepers. It found the mattress too soft for stomach sleepers from 130 pounds up.
Over 230 lb: Ratings were 8.0 for side, 7.5 for back, and 6.5 for stomach sleepers. Latex may let hips, shoulders, or the midsection sink, affecting alignment or posture.
Nolah lists a recommended maximum tolerance of 350 lb for Twin, Twin XL, and Full; Queen 300 lb per side, 600 lb total; and King or California King 350 lb per side, 700 lb total. Sleep Foundation rated edge support 7.0/10, a factor if you sit or sleep near the edge.

Edge support, outside tester
Sleep Foundation rated edge support 7.0/10.
Neck: lying on your side, ask if your pillow and the bed keep your head in line with your spine.
Shoulders: ask if the shoulder under you settles in, or if you feel a pinch after a few minutes.
Back: lying face up, slide a hand under your waist. A big gap or no room at all is a sign of a poor match.
Hips: ask if your hips dip lower than your shoulders, like lying in a shallow bowl.
Four checks: lie still for a few minutes in the position you sleep in most, then notice how each spot feels. These are comfort checks, not a medical test.Sources (3)
The Nolah Natural has outside support for back sleepers, but that does not promise back-pain relief. Nolah says its zoned coils support spine alignment. Sleep Advisor recommends it for people struggling with back pain, while Sleep Foundation found above-average support for back sleepers up to 230 pounds. Sleepopolis tester Riley Otis felt aligned and thought people with back pain could find relief. Real Homes reviewer Courtney Irwin said she could get used to waking refreshed without aches or pains, and Mattress Clarity calls it a good match for people with back pain.

Outside testers recorded temperature increases on the Nolah Natural, with results varying by tester. Nolah lists a breathable cotton cover, temperature-neutral organic latex, perforated latex foam, and individually wrapped coils for airflow. Results varied: Sleep Advisor reported less than 5 degrees; NCOA recorded a 7.2-degree increase after lying on it; Sleepopolis recorded a 9.5-degree increase after five minutes; and NapLab measured a maximum surface temperature of 88.3°. These readings do not promise that it will feel cool to you.

Breathable cotton cover, temperature-neutral organic latex, perforated latex foam, and individually wrapped coils for airflow.
Expect possible movement as a light sleeper with a restless partner, though testers disagree. Several found weak motion control and high bounce. Sleepopolis rated motion isolation 2/5, measured bounce height at 33 inches, and rated bounce 5. NCOA rated motion isolation 3/5 and said bounce helps sleepers change positions. Reviewed found motion control less than amazing and the bed more responsive and bouncier. Mattress Clarity said it does not isolate particularly well and testers described it as responsive and bouncy. Sleep Foundation rated motion isolation 6.5/10 and Ease of Movement 8.0/10, and said latex responsiveness makes it feel bouncy. Sleep Advisor rated motion isolation 5/5 and bounce 4.5/5. GoodBed rated motion isolation Good (7) and bounce Very High (8). For light sleep, prioritize stronger motion isolation; these readings conflict.

The cover is made of organic cotton. GREENGUARD Gold applies to the mattress, while Global Organic Latex Standard (GOLS) applies to the natural latex. That distinction matters if you are checking a particular material: GOLS is specific to latex, so it does not describe the cover. Treat each certification as applying to its stated scope, not as proof about every material.
Nolah says the Natural does not use fiberglass for fire protection. The brand calls organic wool a natural fire barrier in its Natural and Nurture mattresses. The Natural's construction list also names a fire-retardant fiber blend. Those are separate details in Nolah's product information. Check your mattress's law tag for the materials listed on your own bed.
What the brand says
Nolah says it never uses fiberglass for fire protection.
The brand says the Nolah Natural works on a firm, solid-surface foundation and fits adjustable bases. A box spring needs a proper frame and slats no more than 5.5 inches apart. Keep the mattress continuously supported by an adjustable base. An improper or unsupportive base can void warranty coverage, so check your frame and slat spacing before setup.

How long will it last, and does it need flipping or rotating?
Mattress Nerd estimates about a decade, while Sleepopolis expects 8 to 10 years; Nolah says not to flip the bed. Sleep Foundation’s testing team gives it a durability score of 8.5 out of 10, and GoodBed rates its durability Excellent (9); these scores rate durability, not years. Nolah says to give it at least 30 nights before deciding, so you have time to adjust. Rotate it 180 degrees every three to six months, as Nolah recommends.
Rotate or flip
Do not flip; rotate 180 degrees every three to six months.

The Nolah Natural warranty lasts while the original buyer owns and uses it, for mattresses bought after 2025-02-01. A sag claim needs a dip of 1.5 inches; covered repairs or replacements cost nothing in years 1-10. From year 11, you pay part of the replacement cost. Improper bases or slat spacing can void coverage; check S10’s base rules and the warranty terms for claim steps before filing.
