The 30-Second Verdict: Quick Summary
Yes, the Nolah Evolution is worth it for most buyers. It is a hybrid bed with foam layers over zoned coils. A Queen costs $1,594, down from $2,277. Sleep Foundation scores the all-foam Nolah Original 8.0 out of 10 and praises its motion isolation for couples.
The best-fit alternative is the Saatva Classic, a luxury innerspring that costs $1,895 for a Queen. That is $301 more than the Evolution. Side sleepers who need extra hip and shoulder pressure relief can pick its Plush Soft feel. The Evolution comes in three feels: Plush at 4-5, Luxury Firm at 6-7, and Firm at 7-8 out of 10.
Nolah still wins on price. It also gives you 365 nights to try the bed, with 30 nights needed before a return. Returns are free on beds bought on or after October 7, 2026. The lifetime warranty costs nothing to use in years 1-10.
Buy it only if you want a hybrid near $1,594 and own a firm, solid base.

Key Strengths
Cooling foam on top. Copper-infused AirFoam Luxe and gel swirl foam sit in the comfort layers. They give a foam feel with built-in cooling.
Fiberglass-free, the brand says. Its fire barrier is a woven silica sock instead.
Low-emission certification. GREENGUARD Gold covers all seven core Nolah models. Gold sets lower VOC emission limits, which matters for bedroom air.
Good to Know
Older orders pay a fee. A $99 charge comes out of the refund on beds bought before October 7, 2026. Adjustable bases are final sale.
Delivery takes a while. Expect 5 to 10 days from order to your door. In-room setup costs $125.
Your base matters. Slats more than 5.5 inches apart void the warranty. Dents must be deeper than 1.5 inches to be covered.
Three things decide this page: how firm you like it, whether you want foam or coils, and how much you weigh. Pick those first, then match a model.

Reading the scores
Why we don't average the scores
Three sites tested the Original and one tested the Natural. Each site scores in its own way. A score for the Original does not describe the Evolution. Read each row on its own, and never blend the scores into one number.
Each score comes from that outlet's own review. Prices, models and policies can change after a review.
Chapter 02
Comfort and firmness: which mattress fits you
Why this matters to you: Nolah sells feels from Plush (4-5/10) up to Firm (7-8/10). The right one depends on your weight and how you sleep. Sleep Foundation scored beds by weight group, so you can pick by the number.
Nolah lists a pick for each weight and sleep position below, and weight and sleep position together guide the model. The tool and table use Sleep Foundation scores for the heavier groups.
Under 150 lbs: Nolah Original is the pick for side, back, and stomach sleepers.
130 to 230 lbs: Evolution for side sleepers, Natural for back sleepers, Evolution Comfort+ for stomach sleepers.
More than 230 lbs: Evolution Comfort+ is the pick for side and back sleepers.

The Evolution is a hybrid you can order in three feels. Foam layers sit on top, zoned coils sit below, and a foam base sits under those. The brand says its AirFoam Luxe layer gives a high-density foam feel. It stands 14 inches tall.
At $1,594 for a Queen, it sits above the Signature Hybrid at $1,399, a $195 gap. The Evolution Comfort+ costs $1,749, which is $155 more. The Natural latex hybrid costs $1,469, or $125 less.
Sleep Foundation rated the Luxury Firm (6) feel 9.0 out of 10. That score is for side sleepers who weigh 130 to 230 pounds. Pick the Luxury Firm if that is you.
One caution comes from the warranty. Slats more than 5.5 inches apart void it. Only dents deeper than 1.5 inches are covered, so check your bed base before you buy.
Best For
You want to pick your feel. It comes in Plush, Luxury Firm, or Firm, at 4-5, 6-7, and 7-8 out of 10.
You want a cooler bed. The brand says copper-infused AirFoam Luxe and gel swirl foam help with cooling.
You want a bed the brand calls fiberglass-free, with foam on top and coils below.
Consider Instead If
You weigh over 230 pounds. The Evolution Comfort+ in Firm (7) scored 9.5 out of 10 with Sleep Foundation for side sleepers in that group. It costs $155 more.
You want to spend less. The Signature Hybrid is $1,399 for a Queen, which is $195 below the Evolution. It has a medium-firm 6 out of 10 feel.
You want latex. The Nolah Natural is $1,469, which is $125 less, and uses organic latex layers.

The Signature Hybrid is a medium-firm bed with foam on top and coils below. Quilted foam, AirFoam, gel swirl foam and Tri-Zone foam sit over individually wrapped Ascension coils. Pick it if you want coil support under a foam feel. The brand says the coils give responsive support and limit motion transfer. It is rated 6/10 and stands 12 inches tall.
It sits in the middle of the lineup. The all-foam Signature is the step down at $1,259, which is $140 less. The latex Natural is the step up at $1,469, which is $70 more. This bed costs $1,399 for a Queen.
One caution comes from the warranty page. Slats more than 5.5 inches apart on your frame void the coverage. Removing the cover does too. Visible dents deeper than 1.5 inches are covered, but not dents tied to a weak base. Check your frame's slat gap before you buy.
Best For
You are a side, back or combination sleeper under 230 pounds. The brand says its 6/10 feel suits you.
You want coils without paying Evolution prices. The Signature Hybrid costs $195 less than the Evolution, which also has coils.
You use an adjustable base. The brand says all its mattresses work on one.
Consider Instead If
You weigh over 230 pounds. The Evolution Comfort+ in Firm (7) scores 9.5/10 for over-230 side sleepers with Sleep Foundation. It costs $1,749, which is $350 more.
You want a softer foam bed. The Signature is a medium 5/10 at $1,259, which is $140 less.
You want latex. The Natural is also a 6/10 and costs $1,469, which is $70 more.

The Signature is Nolah's all-foam bed for pressure relief. The brand says its AirFoam and Tri-Zone foam add cushion and lumbar support where you need it. It is 12 inches tall and feels medium, 5 out of 10.
It is the second-lowest-priced model in the lineup. The Original is one step down at $942, a gap of $317. The Signature Hybrid is one step up at $1,399, which is $140 more for a coil core. The Evolution costs $1,594.
One caution: the warranty covers visible dents deeper than 1.5 inches, and only on a good base. Use a base with slats no more than 5.5 inches apart, because wider gaps void it.
Best For
You want the brand's pick for pressure relief without coils.
You want to save: it costs $140 less than the Signature Hybrid and $335 less than the Evolution.
You want time to decide: the 365-night trial needs at least 30 nights before a return.
Consider Instead If
You want coils and a firmer feel; the Signature Hybrid is 6/10 and costs $140 more.
You weigh over 230 lbs and sleep on your side; the Evolution Comfort+ in Firm (7) scored 9.5/10 with Sleep Foundation for that group, at $1,749.
You want extra give at the hips and shoulders; the Saatva Classic Plush Soft is built for that, at $1,895, or $636 more.

The Original is a 10-inch all-foam bed. It has contouring foam on top, Tri-Zone™ support foam below, and a high-density base. It has a Medium-Firm (5-6/10) feel and costs $942 for a Queen, down from $1,449. Sleep Foundation rates it 8.0/10 and praises how well it keeps a partner's moves from reaching you.
The Signature is the next step up at $1,259, which is $317 more. It is 12 inches tall, and the brand calls it its best bed for pressure relief. The Signature Hybrid adds a coil core for $1,399, a gap of $457. Pick the Original if you want foam and the lowest price of the three.
The caution is firmness. Sleep Foundation and GoodBed call it Medium (5). Sleepopolis scored its firmness 8/10 and says lighter sleepers may want more cushioning. GoodBed also found almost no bounce and weak edge support. It is a poor pick if you sit on the edge to dress.
Best For
You share a bed and want quiet motion: GoodBed scores its motion isolation Exceptional (10).
You weigh under 150 lbs and sleep on your side, back, or stomach. NapLab says this Medium-Firm feel fits all three.
You want a low price at $942 for a Queen and a flat, low-bounce foam feel.
Consider Instead If
You want coil bounce: the Signature Hybrid has a responsive core of individually wrapped coils for $457 more.
You weigh over 230 lbs: the Evolution Comfort+ scores 9.5/10 with Sleep Foundation for heavier side sleepers, at $807 more.

The Comfort+ is a medium-firm hybrid, and the reason to pick it is its thicker coils. Soft and firm foams sit on top. Below them are Tri-Zone foam, HDMax coils, and a base foam. It stands 13 inches tall. The brand says most happy owners rate it 5-6/10 and that the coils add support and durability.
A Queen costs $1,749. That is $350 more than the Signature Hybrid at $1,399 and $155 more than the Evolution at $1,594. The Evolution is taller at 14 inches and comes in three feels. The all-foam Original costs $807 less at $942.
One caution on feel. Sleep Foundation lists it as Firm (7), which is firmer than the brand's 5-6/10. Some Trustpilot reviews of Nolah (4.4 from 63 reviews) also mention sagging after a few months. If you are between feels, the Evolution lets you pick Plush.
Best For
You weigh over 230 lbs and sleep on your side. Sleep Foundation gives it 9.5/10 for that group.
You sleep on your stomach and weigh 130 to 230 lbs. It scores 8.0/10 from Sleep Foundation.

The Natural is the one organic latex bed in Nolah's lineup. It has an organic cotton cover, two organic latex layers, and zoned coils below them. It is 11 inches tall and Medium-Firm (6/10). The brand says the latex gives a gentle, bouncy feel. It lists GOLS and GOTS certificates for the latex, cotton and wool.
A Queen costs $1,469, down from $2,099. The step down is the Signature Hybrid at $1,399, so you pay $70 more for latex. The step up is the Evolution at $1,594, which is $125 more. Both use foam comfort layers, not latex.
Mattress Clarity gave the Natural 4.2 out of 5. It says the bed does not isolate motion very well, and stomach sleepers may not get enough hip support. Sleep Foundation found above-average support for back sleepers up to 230 pounds.
Best For
You are a back sleeper up to 230 lbs. Sleep Foundation scored it 8.5/10 for the 130 to 230 lb group.
You want organic latex. No other Nolah model has it. The brand lists a GOLS certificate for the latex.
You want pressure relief on your hips and shoulders. Mattress Clarity says side sleepers should feel plenty of relief.

Why this matters to you: A Queen Nolah Evolution costs $1,594, against a $2,277 list price. Returns are free on purchases made on or after October 7, 2026. Earlier purchases pay a $99 fee out of the refund.
Nolah Queens run from $942 for the Original to $1,749 for the Evolution Comfort+. Each price is a markdown from a higher list price, so compare the sale prices side by side.
The Evolution is the brand's best-seller. It runs from $1,127 for a Twin to $2,628 for a Split King. A Queen is $683 under its $2,277 list price. King and Cal King cost the same, $1,781, so pick by room and bed frame, not price.

The Original is $652 less than the Evolution. Pay more for a clear reason. The brand calls the Signature its best for pressure relief. The Evolution comes in three firmness levels. The hybrids add coils, and the Natural adds latex. If none of those fits, the Original saves you real money.
Check the current price and any discount before buying.
Chapter 05
How well do the mattresses hold up?
Why this matters to you: A sagging bed costs you sleep and money. The warranty terms show what the maker will stand behind.
Nolah covers a visible dip deeper than 1.5 inches, at no cost to you in years 1-10. A bad base can cancel that cover, so check your frame first.
The brand says the Evolution Comfort+ has thicker HDMax coils (13.5-gauge) for support and durability. It calls the Natural latex hybrid ultra-durable. Its cooling lines, such as copper-infused foam, are the brand's own claims too. Nolah says the Original, Signature, Evolution, Natural and Alaskan King need no flipping.
CertiPUR-US covers the foam in six models, but not the Natural. Its independent labs assess foam content, emissions and durability.
What to watch for, and when:
Setup day: Nolah says to open the box within a few days of arrival.
Your bed frame: slats more than 5.5 inches apart void the warranty, so measure the gaps before you set up.
On the floor: Nolah says floor use is possible, but without a proper frame the warranty is void. If you try it, air the bed at least weekly.
Any time: a visible dip deeper than 1.5 inches is covered, unless it comes from an improper or unsupportive base. The warranty chapter has the full rules.
Who owns Nolah: 3Z Brands acquired Nolah Sleep. The acquisition was announced on February 14, 2023.
Where sources disagree
Firmness differs by outlet: Sleepopolis rated the Original firm (8/10). Sleep Foundation and GoodBed both call it medium (5).
Motion results are model-specific: GoodBed found virtually no motion transfer on the Original. Mattress Clarity says the Natural does not isolate motion well.
Owner scores differ: Trustpilot shows 4.4 from 63 reviews, and BBB shows 4.21 from 19. Trustpilot complaints mention sagging after a few months.

What do the warranties cover?
Why this matters to you: A lifetime warranty sounds unlimited, but you pay part of the price after year 10. A claim also needs a dip deeper than 1.5 inches and a proper base.
Nolah's lifetime warranty turns on how deep the dip is and what the bed sits on. Learn both rules before you buy.
Dip rule: deeper than 1.5 inches is covered, unless a poor base caused it.
Base rule: slats no more than 5.5 inches apart.
After year 10: you pay 50% of current retail in years 11-15.
How long it lasts: Limited lifetime for the original purchaser, on mattresses bought after 2025-02-01.
How coverage drops over time: Years 1-10 cost nothing. Years 11-15 cost 50% of current retail, years 16-20 cost 60%, and year 21 on costs 75%.
Dip depth it covers: >1.5 in
What voids it: Removing the cover, or slats more than 5.5 inches apart. Abuse-related liquid or stain damage is excluded. Keep your receipt as proof of the purchase date.
Who pays shipping on a claim: In years 1-10, repair or replacement costs you nothing, and Nolah ships the replacement back.

Chapter 10
What are the mattresses made of?
Why this matters to you: What is inside sets how the bed feels and how warm it sleeps. It also sets how long the coils or foam hold up. It tells you which fire barrier sits under the cover.
Nolah beds are all foam, foam over coils, or latex over coils. The table shows the comfort layers, coils, cooling, cover and fire barrier for each model.
The Original and Signature are all foam. The Signature Hybrid, Evolution and Evolution Comfort+ put foam layers over coils. The Natural swaps the foam for organic latex over zoned coils. Cooling comes from copper-infused foam in most models. Nolah calls every model fiberglass-free. The Evolution, Signature and Original use a woven silica fire-retardant sock. The Natural uses a fire-retardant fiber blend.

Textiles are tested for harmful substances. It covers fabric only.
Global Organic Latex Standard (GOLS)
Nolah Natural latex.
The standard addresses organic latex and sets limits for harmful substances, emissions, polymers, and fillers.
Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS)
Nolah Natural's cotton and wool components.
It covers environmental and social criteria, chemical management, traceability, and claims integrity.
What these labels do and don't prove
No single label covers the whole bed. CertiPUR-US looks at foam. GREENGUARD Gold sets limits on fumes. GOLS looks at latex. OEKO-TEX and GOTS look at fabric. Only the Natural lists the last three. A seal on a product page is the brand's claim, so read what each label names.
Our safety page explains law tags, foam and fabric labels, and what each one means.

Safety and materials
Do Nolah mattresses have fiberglass?
No. Nolah says its mattresses do not contain fiberglass.
Can I put my Nolah mattress directly on the floor?
Yes, floor use is possible. Nolah recommends a supportive foundation or bed frame instead. If the bed sits on the floor, air it out at least weekly. Nolah's FAQ also says the warranty is void without a proper bed frame.
What safety tests have been conducted on Nolah mattresses?
Nolah says its mattresses meet federal rules 16 CFR 1633 and 1632. The Evolution, Signature and Original use a woven silica fire-retardant sock. The Natural uses a fire-retardant fiber blend.
Buying and policies
Is Nolah made in the USA?
Yes, Nolah says it makes all its mattresses in the U.S.A.
What is Nolah mattress return policy?
You get a 365-night trial, with at least 30 nights before a return. Nolah says eligible returns get a full refund. Return shipping is free for purchases on or after October 7, 2026. Earlier purchases have a $99 fee taken from the refund.
How long can the mattresses stay in the box?
Open the box within a few days of arrival.
Is the Nolah Signature flippable?
No, you never flip it. Nolah says the Signature has one sleep surface, so it does not need flipping. The same goes for the Original, Evolution and Natural.
Do Nolah mattresses sleep hot?
Nolah says its mattresses do not sleep hot. It also says cooling features vary by model. The Natural uses perforated latex and coils for airflow. The Original uses copper-infused foam.
Do I need to try a mattress in-store before buying?
No. Nolah says online buyers can try the bed at home during the 365-night trial. If you want to lie on one first, showrooms and retail partners across the U.S. carry it.
Do Nolah mattresses work on an adjustable bed frame?
Yes. Nolah says all its mattresses work with adjustable bases. Use a matching, firm, supportive base. If it has slats, keep them no more than 5.5 inches apart, or the warranty is void.
Does Nolah provide a warranty?
Nolah gives a limited lifetime warranty. Years 1-10 are non-prorated. Years 11-15 cost 50% of current retail. Covered dips must be deeper than 1.5 inches. Removing the cover voids it.
