The 30-Second Verdict: Quick Summary
Zoma Sleep is a Scottsdale, Arizona online mattress brand built around athlete recovery. The lineup is three cooling hybrids with zoned support: Start Hybrid at 10 in, Hybrid at 12 in and Boost at 15 in. You get free shipping, a 100-night trial and a 10-year warranty. You can't test one in a store, so you'll be buying online.

Best for athletes, gym-goers and active adults who want a medium to medium-firm hybrid with cooling graphite or gel foams and zoned support, and who are comfortable buying online without a showroom test. Also a good fit for side, back and combination sleepers, hot sleepers, and couples needing motion isolation plus coil bounce.
Less ideal if you are a strict stomach sleeper who wants a very firm bed (testers found the softer Boost lets hips sink), if you must lie on a floor model before buying, if you need in-home setup or old-mattress haul-away outside California, if you want a sub-$400 queen, or if you plan to return pillows, sheets, foundations or an adjustable base later, because those accessory items are final sale.

Chapter 02
Comfort and firmness: which mattress fits you
Why this matters to you: Feel names are the brand's words, not measurements. Use them to shortlist two or three beds, then let your body decide.
Back sleepers: Start Hybrid (firmest) or Hybrid; the Boost tests softer and lets some back sleepers sink. Stomach sleepers: Start Hybrid is the safest Zoma, since Sleep Junkie and Zoma both note the plusher Boost can allow hip sinkage. Side sleepers: Hybrid or Boost, and Zoma itself calls the Boost perfect for side sleepers and active bodies wanting extra pressure relief and faster recovery.
Combination sleepers: Hybrid or Boost, whose Reactiv foam rebounds quickly so you do not feel stuck. Couples: Hybrid and Boost isolate motion through pocketed coils, though Sleep Junkie scored Hybrid motion isolation its lowest category at 8/10 while giving Boost a perfect 10/10. Hot sleepers: Boost has the most cooling hardware (graphite foam plus advanced cooling cover); Hybrid and Start use gel foam with breathable covers.
Heavier sleepers: the 8 in coil cores in Hybrid and Boost over the thinner 10 in Start. Very firm seekers, strict stomach sleepers and shoppers who need to test in a store should look elsewhere.

Which Zoma Sleep feel fits you?
Weight chart not yet researched
Weight and sleep position can change how a bed feels. We have not yet checked whether Zoma Sleep publishes a fit chart by body weight, so use a trial, where one is offered, to test the bed the way you sleep at home.
Neck: on your side, your nose should line up with the middle of your chest, not tip up or down.
Shoulders: your bottom shoulder should sink in. Tingling or a numb arm means the bed is too firm for you.
Lower back: on your back, slide a flat hand under your waist. A big gap means too firm; no room at all can mean too soft.
Hips: ask someone to look from the side. Hips lower than shoulders means the bed is too soft for you.
Figure 2.1: Four checks to run in a store, lying still in the position you sleep in most. The store test in chapter 11 says how long to lie on each bed.
Chapter 03
Compare the mattresses
Why this matters to you: Models from one brand can differ in feel, height and layers. Match the feel label and height to how you sleep before you compare prices.
Zoma Sleep lists 3 models. Feel names are the brand's labels.
Zoma Start Hybrid (10 in, firm, Zoma rates it 7/10): the entry model, 2 in gel memory foam over 2 in Reactiv transition foam and a 6 in zoned pocketed-coil core; the firmest and cheapest Zoma, aimed at back and stomach sleepers, heavier sleepers and budget buyers; list prices Twin $599, Twin XL $699, Full $799, Queen $899, King $1,199, Cal King $1,199, Split King $1,398, with the Sept 2026 site-wide promo showing about $449.25 Twin and $674.25 Queen.
Zoma Hybrid (12 in, luxury firm, Zoma rates it 6/10): 2 in gel memory foam comfort layer with Triangulex zoned cutouts and an AirCloth cover over 1 in Reactiv transition, 8 in pocketed coils and 1 in base foam; the most balanced all-rounder for side, back and combination sleepers and couples; promo pricing Twin $711.75 (list $949), Twin XL $786.75 ($1,049), Full $861.75 ($1,149), Queen $974.25 ($1,299), King $1,199.25 ($1,599), Cal King $1,199.25 ($1,599), Split King $1,573.50 ($2,098).
Zoma Boost (15 in, medium-firm, Zoma rates it 5.5/10): the flagship, adding a quilted gel foam layer and 2 in hyper-cooling graphite-infused Energex memory foam over 2 in Reactiv, 8 in Dynamic Edge zoned-edge coils and 1 in base foam; best pressure relief and cooling in the range and the pick for side sleepers and hard-training athletes; promo pricing Twin $1,011.75 (list $1,349), Twin XL $1,086.75 ($1,449), Full $1,161.75 ($1,549), Queen $1,349.25 ($1,799), King $1,574.25 ($2,099), Cal King $1,574.25 ($2,099), Split King $2,173.50 ($2,898).
A legacy 11 in all-foam Zoma Mattress still appears in the site structure at mattresses/zoma-mattress, but that URL now serves the Zoma Hybrid, so standalone availability of the old all-foam model and its price are Not published as of Sept 2026.

Why this matters to you: A starting price can rise with size, base and delivery. Get the full price for your size in writing before you choose.
Sept 2026 official pricing carries a site-wide roughly 25%-off promo, so budget for the list prices if the promo ends. Start Hybrid: $599 to $1,398 list (about $449.25 to $1,048.50 at 25% off), genuinely cheap for a hybrid. Hybrid: $711.75 to $1,573.50 promo, $949 to $2,098 list.
Boost: $1,011.75 to $2,173.50 promo, $1,349 to $2,898 list. Queen to queen that is roughly $674 to $1,349 promo versus $899 to $1,799 list. Value read: mid-market pricing that includes a 100-night trial, free shipping and free mattress returns, plus 0% APR Klarna financing (four payments under $1,000; 6, 12 or 18 months above that) with no effect on trial rights.
Accessories are extra and final sale; Zoma's own cart upsells price the Zoma Foundation at $400, the Zoma Adjustable Bed at $1,800 and the Zoma Pillow at $100. Zoma claims it starts below most premium recovery-focused competitors; no independent value score for the 2026 models beyond the review scores listed in the reviews section was published as of Sept 2026.

Chapter 05
How well do the mattresses hold up?
Why this matters to you: A mattress is a long buy. Lean on the written warranty and real owner reports to judge how it will last.
Zoma backs every mattress with a 10-year full replacement warranty covering faulty workmanship and structural defects, with visible center indentations over 1.5 in as the sag threshold on the warranty page, while a Hybrid marketing page claims coverage beyond 1 in. Even on a valid claim the customer may pay labor and shipping, and Zoma provides no haul-away of a defective mattress.
Construction points to decent durability: 8 in pocketed coil cores on Hybrid and Boost, dense base foam, fast-rebound Reactiv foam and CertiPUR-US foams.
Third-party view: Sleep Junkie found no premature wear or weak points on the Hybrid, said the individually wrapped coils should resist impressions, and gave high durability confidence to the Hybrid and Boost, while Mattress Clarity scored the older Zoma Start just 3.5/5 for durability and 2.5/5 for edge support.
BBB complaints include a Boost with reportedly non-existent edge support and a cover seam coming apart within months, so occasional quality-control misses exist. Independent long-term sag or foam-density testing of the 2026 models was Not published as of Sept 2026. Use a solid or slatted base with slats under 2.75 to 3 in apart; a box spring without 0.75 in plywood voids the warranty.

Chapter 06
Sleep trials, returns, exchanges and fees
Why this matters to you: Feel is hard to judge in a store or in a week. Know your exit plan and its cost before you pay.
Every Zoma mattress includes a 100-night sleep trial that begins on delivery day; if you also buy an adjustable bed, the trial starts once both items arrive. Zoma asks customers to sleep on the mattress at least 30 nights before requesting a return.
Mattress returns are free when approved and coordinated by Zoma: you contact support by phone or email, Zoma sends a form and instructions, and pickup or donation is arranged through a third party (a BBB complaint names Sharetown for the pickup). There is no exchange program published, so it is refund and rebuy.
Everything else is final sale: pillows, bedding, mattress pads, foundations and adjustable beds are non-refundable, though warranties still apply; an adjustable bed can sometimes be cancelled before delivery for a 30% restocking fee; and if a free or discounted gift item is not returned, its full retail value is deducted from the refund. No restocking fee applies to the mattress itself, and Klarna financing does not affect trial rights.

Chapter 07
Delivery, setup and old-mattress removal
Why this matters to you: Delivery terms decide your first week with the bed. Confirm the date, setup and old-bed removal before you pay.
Delivery is free curbside FedEx to the contiguous 48 states. Mattresses leave the facility in about 3 to 7 business days per the product pages (3 to 5 on the Boost page, 5 to 7 on the Start page) and arrive 1 to 5 business days later, typically 7 to 10 business days total. Mattresses ship compressed in a box and normally need no signature; unroll and let them expand 4 to 6 hours, up to 24 hours for full expansion.
No in-home setup or white-glove assembly service is published as of Sept 2026, so setup is do-it-yourself. Old-mattress removal is not offered in most locations; only in California does Zoma participate in AB-187, coordinating a free pickup within 30 days of delivery if you call 888-400-8856.
Zoma does not ship to Alaska, Hawaii, Canada, Mexico, APO addresses or overseas; those customers must use a freight forwarder inside the lower 48 at their own cost, and the same rule applies to warranty replacement deliveries.
Typical wait: 1 to 5 business days

What do the warranties cover?
Why this matters to you: A warranty is only as good as its terms. Read the written terms and use a supported base, because the wrong frame can end coverage.
Zoma mattresses and hybrids carry a 10-year full replacement warranty from the original purchase date covering faulty workmanship and structural defects, and within the 10 years Zoma decides whether to repair or replace. Covered: deterioration in cell structure causing a visible center indentation over 1.5 in (corners and edges excluded), and manufacturing defects in the removable cover zipper.
Not covered: normal softening or foam recovery loss, rips and tears from handling or wear, and damage from stains, burns, moisture, cuts, folding or re-compressing the mattress after setup.
Conditions that void coverage include a missing law tag, no proof of purchase, improper foundation or base (slats spaced over 2.75 in apart, or a box spring without a 0.75 in moisture-resistant plywood sheet), and resale or gifting, since coverage is only for the original purchaser in the US and Canada. Zoma may cover the replacement mattress while the customer pays labor and shipping, and it does not haul away the defective mattress.
The Hybrid marketing page promises free replacement if it sags beyond 1 in. Other products: Zoma Foundation 1-year warranty, adjustable beds a tiered 10-year limited warranty (year 1 parts and labor, year 2 parts only, years 3-10 prorated metal frame), Zoma pillows 10-year full replacement, and Tencel sheets and Recover+ Protector 1 year.
Covered when the dip is deeper than More than 1.5 inches, measured with nobody on the bed.
Strip the bed down to the mattress and wait a few hours so the top layers can recover.
Lay a straight edge (a broom handle or long level) across the dip, resting on the flat parts.

Review counts checked on each site · they change daily
Customer reviews and complaints
Why this matters to you: Star ratings depend on who posts and where. Read the low-star reviews for patterns, not just the average.
On Zoma's own site the Hybrid shows 4.8/1357 reviews, the Start Hybrid 4.9/316 and the Boost 5.0/93, but these are solicited on-site reviews and should be treated as brand-hosted.
Aggregators: Sleep Junkie scored the Zoma Hybrid 9/10 and the Zoma Boost 10/10; EachNight named the Boost Best Luxury in its Best Mattress of 2026 guide and scored the Zoma Start 9/10; NapLab scored the older all-foam Zoma 8.89/10, top 28% of mattresses tested and top 9% among memory foam; Sleep Advisor rated the Zoma Mattress 3.2/5; Mattress Clarity rated the older Zoma Start 3.6/5 with its weakest marks on edge support and durability.
Complaints: BBB rates Zoma Sleep LLC A- (accredited since 9/13/2024, 8 years in business) and lists 7 complaints in 3 years, 3 closed in the last 12 months, of which 5 were answered and 2 resolved. Themes are delivery delays or a mattress reported delivered but never received, a Boost arriving with poor edge support, a cover seam defect with a slow warranty response, refunds taking about two weeks, and an adjustable-bed motor service dispute.
Trustpilot shows a claimed profile with only 2 reviews and a 3.0 Average score. No other substantive review corpus was published as of Sept 2026.

What are the mattresses made of?
Why this matters to you: Layer names say little without numbers. Ask what is inside your exact model, layer by layer.
All three current models are hybrids built on pocketed coils with Reactiv fast-rebound foam. Boost: quilted gel foam layer plus 2 in graphite-infused Energex memory foam, 2 in Reactiv foam, 8 in Dynamic Edge zoned pocketed coils and 1 in durable base foam (15 in). Hybrid: 2 in gel memory foam comfort layer with Triangulex zoned cutouts, 1 in Reactiv transition, 8 in pocketed coils and 1 in base foam (12 in).
Start Hybrid: 2 in gel memory foam, 2 in Reactiv transition and a 6 in zoned pocketed-coil core (10 in). Covers: breathable AirCloth fabric on the mainstream models and an advanced cooling cover on the Boost; graphite in the Boost is the heat-wicking layer and zoned edge coil support is the alignment story. All foams are CertiPUR-US certified, the mattresses are 100% fiberglass-free and made in the USA with low-VOC claims.
Foam densities, ILD, coil count, coil gauge and exact cover fiber content are Not published as of Sept 2026. Zoma pages are inconsistent on the Hybrid stack (a legacy page describes 2 in Reactiv over 7 in coils)

Chapter 11
Where can you try and buy the mattresses?
Why this matters to you: Where you buy sets the price, the trial and who handles problems. Check the seller's terms, not just the brand's.
Zoma sells direct-to-consumer at zomasleep.com and mattresses are built to order. Support is 888-400-8856, 7am-5pm Arizona time weekdays, from the Scottsdale, Arizona headquarters at 7167 E Rancho Vista Dr Ste 137.
The sleep-trial page references customers who visit our retail locations getting the same 100-night trial, but no store locator, showroom addresses or published retail store list was found as of Sept 2026, so in-person testing is effectively limited to hospitality partners such as the A-Lodge hotel in Boulder, Colorado, plus Zoma's wholesale and partner program for hotels, retailers and designers.
No official Zoma mattress listings were found on Amazon, Wayfair or Mattress Firm as of Sept 2026: Amazon results are third-party replacement remotes for Zoma/Amerisleep/Denver Mattress adjustable bases, and Wayfair and Mattress Firm searches return unrelated beds. Practically, most buyers purchase online after using the quiz, phone support and the 100-night home trial.

Chapter 12
Zoma Sleep vs. other mattress brands
Why this matters to you: A fair comparison needs the same facts for both beds. Line up price, trial and warranty for each one.
Versus Bear and other athlete-recovery brands: Zoma competes with performance-positioned names such as Bear, but EachNight's Best for Athletes category went to the Bear Star Hybrid while naming the Zoma Boost Best Luxury, so Zoma wins on luxury feel in that guide rather than the athlete label.
Versus Tempur-Pedic and other legacy premium brands: Zoma undercuts their flagship pricing with a 15 in cooling hybrid at $1,349.25 queen on promo, but it lacks their showroom networks and long independent test history. Versus Saatva and store-sold hybrids: Saatva offers in-home trial delivery and retail-like service, while Zoma is online-only with a boxed FedEx delivery and no old-mattress haul-away outside California.
Versus Amerisleep, its Arizona neighbor: Amerisleep leans plant-based foams and zoned HIVE support with a 20-year warranty, while Zoma leans graphite cooling and a 10-year warranty, and EachNight scored the Zoma Boost and Amerisleep AS3 level at 9.5 overall. Versus budget boxed hybrids: Zoma's Start Hybrid at $599 list ($449.25 promo twin) competes with value brands, though Mattress Clarity rated the older Start only 3.6/5.
No head-to-head independent lab comparison of Zoma against Tempur-Pedic, Saatva, Bear, Amerisleep or Sleep Number was published as of Sept 2026.
Competitor details reflect published prices and specs on the date shown. Mattress brands may update prices and trial terms over time.
Chapter 13
How we research and report
This page is an early draft built from our research sheet for Zoma Sleep. We read the brand's own pages and public listings, and we do not test mattresses ourselves. Fields marked "Not yet researched" are still being checked.
This review was built in Sept 2026 from Zoma's own pages (zoma-boost, zoma-hybrid, zoma-start-mattress, mattresses overview, FAQ, sleep-trial, shipping, warranty, financing, athletes, partner and support pages) for specs, layers, per-size sale and list prices, trial, warranty, delivery and athlete positioning.
Retailer checks on Amazon, Wayfair, Mattress Firm and Walmart found no official Zoma mattress listings, so those gaps are reported as Not published as of Sept 2026 rather than guessed. Third-party context came from Sleep Junkie, EachNight, NapLab, Sleep Advisor, Mattress Clarity and Mattress Nerd, plus BBB (A-, 7 complaints in 3 years) and Trustpilot (3.0 from 2 reviews).
Independence caveats: Sleep Junkie's footer states it is owned by Healthy Sleep LLC with Amerisleep advertising, and EachNight and most review sites carry affiliate links, so brand-favorable scores are treated as directional. Several third-party reviews cover earlier Zoma iterations (all-foam Zoma and prior Zoma Start) rather than the 2026 hybrids, and that is flagged where used.
Prices are promotional as published on the check date and change frequently, so re-verify at purchase. No Zoma mattress was physically tested or measured by Nappedia for this review.
