The 30-second verdict
No for most buyers: a better-value hybrid is the smarter pick. Brooklyn Bedding's Signature Hybrid fits value-focused shoppers. Its Queen list price is $1,465.00, compared with the Rejuvenate's $5,499 Queen list price, and it offers three firmness choices. The catch is split firmness ratings: Sleep Foundation rates the Rejuvenate Medium (5), while GoodBed rates it Firm (3). Buy it only if you want a firm hybrid and accept that disagreement.

Pros
Cooling surface. An Apartment Therapy reviewer said it felt truly cooling to the touch.
Airflow core. Purple says the edge-to-edge coil core allows air to flow freely.
Certified foam. Purple says foam in the Rejuvenate is CertiPUR-US certified.
Owner score. Purple lists a 4.5 score from 67 owners.
Cons
Side sleeper fit. Sleep Sage's owner-feedback summary says the mattress is too firm for most side sleepers.
Base mismatch. Purple says the mattress's height makes it incompatible with the Adjustable Base.
Box spring limit. Purple says not to use the mattress on a box spring.
Return charge. Purple deducts a $350 transportation charge from Rejuvenate refunds.
How firm is the Rejuvenate, and which firmness should you pick?
Purple lists the Rejuvenate as Firm; back sleepers who prefer a medium feel should look at RejuvenatePlus. Purple's 5-point firmness scale names firm, medium firm, medium, medium soft, and soft, but those labels are not all selectable feels for this model. Purple says its firm feel is often preferred by stomach sleepers. Sleep Foundation's page, updated October 14, 2026, rates the Rejuvenate Medium (5); that is an outside reading, not a purchasable feel. GoodBed rates it Firm (3) on its rating scale, where 1 is firmest and 9 is softest.

Feel tested: Medium. Reviewed Updated October 14, 2026
Is the Rejuvenate right for your sleep position and body weight?
For sleepers over 230 lb, the Rejuvenate looks like a cautious choice: Sleep Foundation’s ratings are higher for side sleeping than for back or stomach sleeping, but side support is still a concern.
Sleep Foundation scored fit 7.5 for side, 5.5 for back, and 5.0 for stomach sleepers over 230 lb. Most side sleepers in this group sank uncomfortably and lacked support. Sleep Foundation does not recommend it for back sleepers over 230 lb because testers found it too soft. For stomach sleepers above 130 lb, most testers lacked enough reinforcement, and some noted lower-back pressure.
Purple says each mattress is tested to support over 700 lb, and its FAQ gives 350 lb per person as a support-test figure, not a personal fit target. Sleep Foundation gave edge support 7.0/10 and found noticeable perimeter sink, so the edge may dip under you.

Sleep Foundation: 7.0/10; tests found noticeable perimeter sink.
Neck: lying on your side, ask if your pillow and the bed keep your head in line with your spine.
Shoulders: ask if the shoulder under you settles in, or if you feel a pinch after a few minutes.
Back: lying face up, slide a hand under your waist. A big gap or no room at all is a sign of a poor match.
Hips: ask if your hips dip lower than your shoulders, like lying in a shallow bowl.
Four checks: lie still for a few minutes in the position you sleep in most, then notice how each spot feels. These are comfort checks, not a medical test.Sources (2)
The Purple Rejuvenate may suit some people with back pain, but its support claims do not show pain relief.
What the brand says
Purple says the 2-inch GelFlex Grid cradles hips and shoulders while supporting legs and back. Sleep Foundation lists people with lower back pain among those it suits, but calls this a product summary, not a back-pain test.
Apartment Therapy's Sofia, described as prone to neck and back pain, felt supported, but said her natural spine curve was not maintained on her side. GoodBed's first page of owner ratings shows 9 of 10 owners picked lower or middle back pain, with back-support scores from 2 to 5 out of 5. That range gives no clear endorsement. If you sleep on your side, take the alignment concern into account.

Outside testers describe the Purple Rejuvenate as cool, not warm. Purple names these cooling parts: DreamLayer uses a plush MicroGrid top and MicroAir foam for temperature regulation. Purple says the 2-inch GelFlex Grid draws excess heat away, while the 8-inch responsive coil system has an edge-to-edge core that lets air flow freely. Apartment Therapy said the mattress felt truly cooling to the touch and thought hot sleepers would be comfortable. Sleep Foundation rated Temperature Control 7.0/10; GoodBed rated Sleeps Cool: Very Good (8). These readings point to a cool feel for hot sleepers.

You may still feel your partner move, so this is not a sure bet for a light sleeper. The outside readings differ: GoodBed’s expert review rated motion isolation Pretty Good (6), while the Sleep Foundation product testing team gave it 8.0/10. GoodBed also rated bounce Very High (8), pointing to a lively feel rather than a still one. If partner movement often wakes you, do not count on these scores to promise quiet sleep.

The cover uses several material blends. Its top and waterfall each contain 45% Polyester, 43% FR Rayon, 8% Polyethylene, 3% Polypropylene, and 1% Spandex. The border is 100% polyester; the bottom cover is 70% FR Rayon and 30% Polyester.
The certifications cover different parts. Purple says CertiPUR-US applies to the Rejuvenate’s foam, while Clean-Air Gold applies to materials in all Purple mattresses. Read these as separate coverage claims, not as a claim that every part of the bed has both certifications.
Purple says the Rejuvenate has no fiberglass. The brand describes the fire barrier as a fiberglass-free fire sock in the top panel, with FR Fiber in the borders. Check the law tag on your mattress for its material list, then compare it with the brand's description before making your choice.

The Rejuvenate works on a solid-surface base or slats less than 3.5 inches apart, Purple says. Slats over that limit and box springs are not suitable, so check your frame before setup. For adjustable use, Purple says its Premium Smart Base and Premium Plus Smart Base work, but the Adjustable Base does not because of the mattress's height.

How long will it last, and does it need flipping or rotating?
Sleep Foundation anticipates a lifespan of 8 to 9 years, and Purple says not to flip it; rotating about every three months is optional. Yawnder gives it an 8.6/10 expected durability score, a rating rather than a lifespan estimate.
Purple Support says to sleep on it for at least 21 days while your body adjusts, so give the support time before deciding if it suits you.
Rotate or flip
Do not flip; rotation is optional, about every three months.

At least 21 days of sleeping on the mattress for body adjustment.
Purple says delivery takes 5 to 10 business days by ground after the bed leaves the warehouse. That timing gives you a planning window, not a specific arrival day, so arrange your schedule around a range rather than a fixed date.

Purple says its warranty lasts ten years from purchase for the original buyer and covers dips deeper than 1 in, not normal softening. The cover has 2 years of coverage.
The wrong base can void coverage. For a King-size Rejuvenate on an adjustable base, use 2 TXL adjustable bases; the base must be tested to 750 lbs. weight capacity. A flat foundation is also allowed if firm, flat, non-spring, and on a bed frame, not the floor. Slats must be no more than 3.5 inches apart.

For a King-size Rejuvenate on an adjustable base, the warranty requires two TXL adjustable bases. It separately permits a flat foundation that meets the stated requirements.

Owners praise the Purple Rejuvenate’s comfort and support, but Sleep Sage flags a side-sleeper firmness concern. Purple.com’s own site gives it a 4.5 score from 67 reviews, reflecting reviews hosted by Purple rather than an outside score.
Sleep Sage’s owner-feedback summary lists firm lumbar support and shoulder and hip relief as praise. Purple.com owner posts also praise comfort, restful nights, a firmness that does not sink or feel stiff, and staying cool overnight. For complaints, Sleep Sage says it is too firm for most side sleepers and recommends starting at RejuvenatePlus. Sleepiverse describes Reddit discussion of the 2025 redesign as confused.
