The 30-second verdict
Yes, combination sleepers may find a fit, but stomach sleepers over 230 lb should skip it. The catch is its soft feel, which may not suit shoppers who want a firm bed. Hot sleepers who want a bouncier coil feel may fit Saatva Classic better. Its Queen price is $2,229; this bed's Queen list price is $4,399. Buy it only if the fit caveat works for you.

How firm is the RestorePremier Hybrid, and which firmness should you pick?
Purple lists this RestorePremier Hybrid in Soft feel; GoodBed’s separate Firm configuration is not a listed choice for this model. GoodBed rates the Purple Restore Premier Soft Medium-Soft (6) and the separate Purple Restore Premier Firm Medium (5), both on its 1 to 9 scale, where 1 is firmest and 9 is softest.
Choose Soft if you prefer the softer of those two readings. GoodBed’s Firm rating is a comparison with a separate configuration, not another feel listed for this mattress.

Is the RestorePremier Hybrid right for your sleep position and body weight?
The RestorePremier Hybrid is a reasonable fit for side, back, stomach, and combination sleepers, with a clearer caution for heavier stomach sleepers. NapLab's tester felt well-supported in all sleeping positions, a positive signal for people who change positions.
Under 150 lb, NapLab rates side, back, and stomach fit Yes.
In NapLab's 150-250 lb band, it rates all three positions Yes.
In Sleepiverse's separate over 230 lb band, side fit is Good, back fit is Fair, and stomach fit is Not ideal. The bands overlap and come from separate sources, so they are not one continuous consensus. Heavier stomach sleepers have the clearest reason to consider another mattress.
Purple says mattresses of all sizes are tested to support 700 lb total, or 350 lb per person. NapLab reports excellent sitting edge support, a positive sign if you sit at the bed's edge.

Edges
Edge support, outside tester
NapLab: excellent sitting edge support.
Neck: lying on your side, ask if your pillow and the bed keep your head in line with your spine.
Shoulders: ask if the shoulder under you settles in, or if you feel a pinch after a few minutes.
Back: lying face up, slide a hand under your waist. A big gap or no room at all is a sign of a poor match.
Hips: ask if your hips dip lower than your shoulders, like lying in a shallow bowl.
Four checks: lie still for a few minutes in the position you sleep in most, then notice how each spot feels. These are comfort checks, not a medical test.Sources (3)
It may suit back sleepers seeking support, but do not count on it to relieve back pain. Purple says its GelFlex Grid cradles hips and shoulders while supporting the back and legs. Forbes Vetted’s tester reported no lower-back pressure buildup while sleeping on their back, a pressure report rather than a pain outcome.
GoodBed reports owners list lower-back pain for both Restore Premier Firm and Soft; its back-support scores run 2/5 to 4/5 in 2025 reviews. Those figures do not favor one firmness, so do not choose Firm over Soft for back support on this basis alone. A RedditRecs commenter said their torso dipped and threw them out of alignment.
What the brand says
Purple says the GelFlex Grid relieves pressure, cradles common pain points such as hips and shoulders, and maintains support across the back and legs.

The outside readings do not give a shared verdict on whether this bed sleeps warm or neutral.
Purple names a 3-inch GelFlex Grid, a moisture-wicking SoftFlex cover, and individually topped CoolFlex coils with foam pillars. Purple says these parts increase airflow and claims the mattress sleeps 4x cooler than leading competitors.
NapLab: max surface temperature, 91.3° F. SpaceSmart: baseline surface temperature, 83.0°F. These are different measures, so they do not establish one shared verdict on heat build-up.
You may feel a restless partner move; the outside readings show some motion control alongside responsiveness. NapLab reported a motion transfer score of 6.7, acceleration range of 12.36 m/s², duration of 1.19 seconds, bounce height of 9.46 in, and moderate bounce. Sleepiverse gave motion isolation a score of 7.2 and described good motion control with noticeable responsiveness. For a light sleeper, these readings mean movement may still reach you, so do not count on sleeping through a restless partner.

The Purple RestorePremier Hybrid stacks its layers from top to bottom as follows.
GelFlex Grid: hyper-elastic polymer, 3 in thick.
Edge support system.
Ultra comfort foam.
CoolFlex® Coils: 10 in thick, with each coil topped by an independent foam pillar.
Those thickness values apply to the grid and coil layers, so compare them as parts of the build, not as the mattress’s full height. At 137 lbs, plan for help moving it into place. For sheet fit, compare your fitted sheet’s pocket depth with the mattress height before buying.

Also in the build: Edge support system, Ultra comfort foam. The sources we read name these layers but not what they are made of.
The cover uses different fabrics on its top, bottom, and sides: the top is 97.5% polyester and 2.5% elastic; the bottom is 65% FR Rayon, 25% polyester, and 10% Sheath/Core; the sides are 100% polyester. Check these fiber labels if you have a material preference.
CertiPUR-US applies to the foam, not the whole mattress. Purple says Clean-Air Gold applies to mattress materials across all Purple mattresses. These labels name different scopes, so check which part each covers.
Purple says the RestorePremier Hybrid has no fiberglass. Purple describes its fire barrier as a fiberglass-free fire sock that is not chemically treated. To check your own mattress, find its law tag and read the materials list before deciding whether the listed barrier meets your needs.
The RestorePremier Hybrid works with a solid surface base or an adjustable base; Purple says a box spring is not allowed. Purple says an adjustable base can help with pain, snoring and more. Choose a fixed or adjustable setup from those options to match how you want to use the bed.
How long will it last, and does it need flipping or rotating?
Durability scores differ: Sleepiverse gives the RestorePremier Hybrid 8.8, citing strong durability potential from its substantial hybrid build; Buyary rates its durability 3/5. GoodBed rates the Firm version Very Good (8), not the Soft version reviewed here.
Purple recommends allowing at least 21 nights to adjust, then rotating the mattress every three to six months to limit sagging. It says never to flip Purple mattresses.

Purple says the RestorePremier Hybrid ships free by ground, with delivery in 5 to 10 business days after it leaves the warehouse. That window starts after warehouse departure, so it is not the full wait from order. Purple says setup and old mattress removal cost $200 on some Restore beds; confirm whether that option is available for this model and your order before checkout.
Typical wait: 5 to 10 business days by ground after the bed leaves the warehouse
How it ships: FedEx for beds under 150 lbs; delivery partners for heavier beds and in-home setup
Setup: Free on Rejuvenate; a $200 add-on for select Essential and Restore models (not PurpleFlex or PurpleRenew)
Old mattress: $0 with Rejuvenate; $200 with in-home setup on select Essential and Restore models

Purple gives the RestorePremier Hybrid a 100-night trial, but a Restore return carries a $250 transportation charge. Purple deducts that charge from your refund, so you get less back. Purple says a dip must be deeper than 1 in for sag coverage; normal softening is not covered. Purple also warns that the wrong base can void coverage. Keep this mattress on a solid base or close-set slats, not a box spring. Before pursuing a claim, check the dip against that threshold and make sure the mattress has been on an allowed base.
Sag needed for a claim
Deeper than 1 in
A visible dip deeper than 1 inch after the bed recovers; normal impressions under 1 inch are not covered
Owner feedback is mixed: Purple.com reviews praise comfort, while one complaint flags firmness. Purple.com rates it 4.4 from 867 reviews; these are Purple's own customer reviews, not an independent rating.
Purple.com praise includes cooling with support and softness, plus reports of pressure relief and back-pain relief. Sleepiverse says recent Purple owner reviews also mention fewer wakeups and firmness that feels right. An American Mattress reviewer said a replacement felt much firmer than expected and caused shoulder pain that woke them at night, a reason to be cautious if you are sensitive to firmness.
