The 30-Second Verdict: Quick Summary
Tommy Bahama isn't a mattress maker. It's a lifestyle line licensed to Therapedic. The five current builds are Bay Breeze, Santorini Dreams, Bermuda Breeze, Capri Comfort and Ultimate Tight Top. Florida licensee Sleep International helped design them. You can only buy them through dealers, at roughly $999 to $2,999. Therapedic doesn't publish specs, prices or online checkout for the line. Trials and returns are set by each store, and warranty terms depend on a code on the law tag. You'll want to test a bed in person.

Best for shoppers who want a recognizable resort-lifestyle name and can test beds in a store: cooling covers, five-zone wrapped coils, iFlex micro-coil quilting, gel and copper foams, and organic wool on the Ultimate model, at $999-$2,999 through dealer showrooms, with Florida furniture chains (Baer's, Kane's) carrying the deepest assortment.
Not best for online-only buyers: Therapedic publishes no price list, spec sheet, sleep trial, or national returns for the line, ShopTherapedic returns zero Tommy Bahama results, and trial, delivery, exchange, and return terms are set by each retailer, so the buying experience varies store to store.

Tommy Bahama is a Therapedic-licensed lifestyle mattress line, not a mattress maker: five current island-themed builds (Bay Breeze, Santorini Dreams, Bermuda Breeze, Capri Comfort, Ultimate Tight Top) designed with Florida licensee Sleep International, sold only through dealers at roughly $999-$2,999, with retailer-set trials and law-tag warranty codes instead of published specs, prices, or online checkout.

Chapter 02
Comfort and firmness: which mattress fits you
Why this matters to you: Feel names are the brand's words, not measurements. Use them to shortlist two or three beds, then let your body decide.
Match the model to the sleeper: side sleepers who want pressure relief should look at Santorini Dreams (gel memory over plush foam) or Capri Comfort (iFlex micro-coil quilt plus memory foam), and at dealer-floor Ocean Ease for latex buoyancy; back and stomach sleepers who want a flatter, firmer surface should start with the Bay Breeze tight top or the Ultimate Tight Top with its organic wool layer and extra-firm base; couples and light sleepers benefit from the TheraWrap 5-zone individually wrapped coils on every model for motion separation and edge-to-edge support; hot sleepers should favor the cooling covers (EcoFiber and Ionexis on current models, Glacier Touch with Lycra per 2025 press), TheraCool gel foams, QuadTech copper-silver-graphite layer, and coil airflow; heavier sleepers should ask dealers about coil counts and edge support because no weight ratings are published.
Firmness labels and ILD numbers per model are Not published as of Sept 2026, and the lineup spans hybrid and foam constructions per Therapedic's 2025 market statements, so compare in person rather than by name alone.

Which Tommy Bahama feel fits you?
Weight chart not yet researched
Weight and sleep position can change how a bed feels. We have not yet checked whether Tommy Bahama publishes a fit chart by body weight, so use a trial, where one is offered, to test the bed the way you sleep at home.
Neck: on your side, your nose should line up with the middle of your chest, not tip up or down.
Shoulders: your bottom shoulder should sink in. Tingling or a numb arm means the bed is too firm for you.
Lower back: on your back, slide a flat hand under your waist. A big gap means too firm; no room at all can mean too soft.
Hips: ask someone to look from the side. Hips lower than shoulders means the bed is too soft for you.

Compare the mattresses
Why this matters to you: Models from one brand can differ in feel, height and layers. Match the feel label and height to how you sleep before you compare prices.
Tommy Bahama lists 5 models. Feel names are the brand's labels.

Mattress prices and value
Why this matters to you: A starting price can rise with size, base and delivery. Get the full price for your size in writing before you choose.
Therapedic publishes no prices for the five current models (the official page price field is empty), so value has to be read from market news and dealer tickets: retail ranges were $999-$2,199 for the 2022 line, $999-$2,499 at the April 2025 High Point showing (Ultimate and two organic hybrids at $2,499, foam series $1,999, bed-in-a-box $1,699), $999-$2,499 for the six October 2025 High Point models, and $999-$2,999 for the refreshed January 2026 collection.
Dealer examples (Kane's Furniture, Florida): Drift Away Firm and Plush queen $999, Nautical Smiles Hybrid queen $1,199, Time To Coast Pillow Top queen $1,299, Seas The Day queen $1,399, Sail Away Hybrid queen $1,699.99, Ocean Ease Latex Pillow Top queen $1,999.99 and king $2,499.99. Baer's shows the Ultimate Euro Top and Tight Top but publishes quote-only pricing.
Verdict: mid-to-upper pricing for a licensed line with sale-driven dealer pricing; compare against the dealer's house brands and DTC hybrids at the same ticket, because nothing is sold direct and discounts are store-specific.

Chapter 05
How well do the mattresses hold up?
Why this matters to you: A mattress is a long buy. Lean on the written warranty and real owner reports to judge how it will last.
Durability guidance is generic rather than model-specific: Therapedic's FAQ says body impressions are normal, that a warranty is not the expected useful life, and it recommends rotating the mattress regularly and using a protector, while the Better Sleep Council suggests replacing a mattress about every seven years; the warranty schedule keys coverage to the law-tag code.
GoodBed lists Average Lifespan as N/A for the line, and no official sag or indentation test data is published. Independent review site MattressNut states that user feedback on the older innerspring line flagged sagging or center dips within three to five years while hybrids fared better, and it calls the beds competent mid-range hybrids; that claim is the site's own and not confirmed by Therapedic.
Owner reviews on GoodBed include reports of visible dips and early discomfort alongside satisfied long-term owners, so inspect edge support and ask about body-impression thresholds before buying.

Chapter 06
Sleep trials, returns, exchanges and fees
Why this matters to you: Feel is hard to judge in a store or in a week. Know your exit plan and its cost before you pay.
There is no brand-wide sleep trial, return, or exchange program for Tommy Bahama mattresses: Therapedic's site publishes none, the official FAQ tells owners to contact the retail store first for service issues, and no exchange fees, restocking charges, or return windows are published as of Sept 2026.
Trial terms are retailer-set; the review site MattressNut states that 30 nights is common at stores carrying the line and notes that this is short compared with the 100-night to 365-night trials of direct-to-consumer brands, while other retailers may offer comfort exchanges instead of refunds.
Because the line is dealer-only, the practical answer is to get the store's trial length, return and exchange windows, restocking or delivery fees, and mattress-condition requirements in writing before purchase; individual retailer policies for these exact models were Not published as of Sept 2026.

Chapter 07
Delivery, setup and old-mattress removal
Why this matters to you: Delivery terms decide your first week with the bed. Confirm the date, setup and old-bed removal before you pay.
Delivery, setup, and old-mattress removal are dealer services, not brand programs: Therapedic's FAQ says most bedding retail stores assist with disposal of old bedding as a value-added service and advises asking about it before purchase, and no national delivery or haul-away terms are published.
Dealer specifics: Kane's Furniture delivers most orders in 3-10 days with a four-hour window, requires 72-hour change notice, includes a no-contact option, charges $69.99 for white-glove bedding delivery, caps stairs at the third floor, and offers free next-day delivery on select premium mattresses including Tommy Bahama (Twin XL from $1,099, full and queen from $1,299, king from $1,599). Baer's offers delivery tracking through its site.
Setup, mattress removal fees, and delivery windows vary by retailer and region and are otherwise Not published as of Sept 2026, so confirm written terms at the store where you buy.

What do the warranties cover?
Why this matters to you: A warranty is only as good as its terms. Read the written terms and use a supported base, because the wrong frame can end coverage.
Each mattress carries a limited warranty whose term is keyed to the code on the law tag; Therapedic's FAQ says the term varies by product and directs owners to the Limited Warranty Guide that came with the mattress, and the warranty claim page requires the original store receipt plus the law tag.
The Therapedic Worldwide Limited Warranty Guide (as posted by Rooms To Go) maps law-tag codes to terms of 1, 3, 5, 10, 15, 20, or 25 years with non-prorated periods from 1 to 25 years, for example WP 15 years total and 10 non-prorated, WG 10 non-prorated, WF 25 years fully non-prorated, and WC 10 years with 5 non-prorated.
It covers workmanship and materials defects, loose or broken coils, and body impressions beyond thresholds (innerspring over 1.5 in, specialty over 1 in, direct contact over 0.75 in) when the bed has a matching foundation and proper center-supported frame, and it excludes transportation and inspection costs, comfort preference, fabric cover damage, stains, abuse, floor samples, and bedding height; repairs or replacements are at the manufacturer's option and coverage is for the original purchaser.
Rooms To Go lists the Tommy Bahama Kids beds as 10 year limited, Code I-WP, and a warranty code list for the five current 2026 models is Not published as of Sept 2026.
Covered when the dip is deeper than 1 to 1.5 inches by mattress type, measured with nobody on the bed.
Strip the bed down to the mattress and wait a few hours so the top layers can recover.
Lay a straight edge (a broom handle or long level) across the dip, resting on the flat parts.

Customer reviews and complaints
Why this matters to you: Star ratings depend on who posts and where. Read the low-star reviews for patterns, not just the average.
GoodBed rates the Therapedic Tommy Bahama line 80/100 (Very Good) from 57 owner experiences, with Back Support 54, Pressure Relief 57, Sleep Quality 57, and Stays Cool 62, while Value, Warranty Service, and Average Lifespan show N/A; only 5 entries include written reviews. Positive example: Ron of Rotonda West, FL (Sep 23, 2024) wrote Love it after six months, calling it the most comfortable bed he had tried.
Negative examples: Jenny of Unity, ME (Sep 20, 2022) wrote that she would return it in a heartbeat and that both sleepers wake up in pain, and Therapedic's Jennifer Severini replied asking her to call 1-800-314-4433 to discuss options; Mary of Seminole, FL (Dec 22, 2019) reported a large visible dip; Debbie of Winter Garden, FL (May 25, 2025) rated the bed 1/5 on support, pressure relief, and coolness; and Chris of Jensen Beach, FL (Jan 14, 2026) rated back support 2/5.
No BBB complaint record or brand-level review hub for the mattress line was found; most complaints center on comfort preference and impressions rather than defects, and brand-level customer service is routed through the selling dealer or the factory line at 800-314-4433.

What are the mattresses made of?
Why this matters to you: Layer names say little without numbers. Ask what is inside your exact model, layer by layer.
Construction uses Therapedic house technologies across all five models: cooling stretch covers with recycled-performance EcoFiber and Ionexis yarns plus antimicrobial protection, glass-free FR solutions, TheraCool gel foams, MemoryTouch memory foam (1.5-in to 2-in), TheraSponse transition foams and extra-firm stability bases, TheraWrap 5-zone individually wrapped coils with TheraFoam edge support, DuraCoil Mini micro-coils (Bermuda Breeze and Ultimate), the patented iFlex hybrid quilt with over 2,040 micro coils (Capri Comfort and Ultimate), and a 5-zone QuadTech layer with copper, silver, and graphite (Bermuda Breeze); Ultimate Tight Top adds GOTS certified organic wool.
Foams carry the CertiPUR-US badge, beds are adjustable-base friendly, and Therapedic says the collection is expertly crafted in the USA. Historical lines used Floating Foam center zones, TheraCool Copper Gel Quilt, Memory Touch Copper Visco Gel, Serene Foam, Repreve recycled fibers, and Sanitize antimicrobial finishing (2015 and 2022 launches).
Mattress heights, total coil counts for four of five models, foam densities, and layer thickness beyond the published specs are Not published as of Sept 2026.

Where can you try and buy the mattresses?
Why this matters to you: Where you buy sets the price, the trial and who handles problems. Check the seller's terms, not just the brand's.
Therapedic sells through dealers, not direct: use the official Find a Store locator with a 5-50 mile radius or call the nearest factory at 800-314-4433, and note that ShopTherapedic (the brand's Shop From Home outlet) returns zero results for Tommy Bahama as of Sept 2026.
Verified dealers include Baer's Furniture (16 Florida stores; Tommy Bahama mattress collection with Ultimate Euro Top and Tight Top and quote-only pricing), Kane's Furniture (about 17 Florida locations; Drift Away, Time To Coast, Nautical Smiles, Seas The Day, Sail Away, and Ocean Ease with published prices), Rooms To Go (Tommy Bahama Kids Bay Dreamer, Make Waves, and Seaside Serenity with Therapedic warranty codes), and The Bedding Group, the Rock Island, IL and Minneapolis, MN Therapedic licensee, which lists a Tommy Bahama Home innerspring and hybrid collection.
Internationally, Mattress Resources Australia is the Therapedic Australia licensee growing the line, per Therapedic's blog. Trade buyers see it at Las Vegas Market showroom B-946 and High Point's Soundstage USA space 214; store counts and full dealer lists are Not published as of Sept 2026.

Tommy Bahama vs. other mattress brands
Why this matters to you: A fair comparison needs the same facts for both beds. Line up price, trial and warranty for each one.
Versus Margaritaville by Kingsdown: both are licensed resort-lifestyle lines sold through dealers at similar mid-to-upper price points, with Tommy Bahama leaning on cooling covers, wrapped coils, and micro-coil quilts rather than published specs. Versus Therapedic's other partnership line, Kathy Ireland: same factory network and dealer channel, different styling and no head-to-head published specs.
Inside Therapedic, Tommy Bahama sits below the ultra-premium Lloyd and Penfield (queen retails $1,799-$3,999) and overlaps the newer Alternativ collection ($1,299-$2,499), so shoppers should compare layer counts and coil systems, not badges, across the same showroom floor.
Versus direct-to-consumer hybrids such as Saatva, Amerisleep, and Puffy: DTC brands win on published pricing, long trials (100 nights to 365 nights), and consolidated reviews, while Tommy Bahama wins on in-store testing and dealer service; review sites position it as a competent mid-range hybrid whose main weakness is short or retailer-dependent trial and warranty terms.
Versus Serta, Sealy, and Beautyrest: Tommy Bahama competes on lifestyle brand recognition and design at similar tickets but loses on national spec transparency, consistent model names, and availability outside its dealer network.
Competitor details reflect published prices and specs on the date shown. Mattress brands may update prices and trial terms over time.

Quick Answers
Quick Answers Before You Buy
Safety and materials
Buying and policies
Who actually makes Tommy Bahama mattresses?
Therapedic, which holds the Tommy Bahama license for mattresses and builds the line through its licensee network; the collection is created and designed with Florida licensee Sleep International and its partner Adam Weinman, and Therapedic described the partnership in Sept 2025 as 15 years old (the line was introduced at the January 2015 Las Vegas Market per beds.org).
Where can I try and buy them?
Dealer showrooms such as Baer's and Kane's in Florida, Rooms To Go for the Tommy Bahama Kids models, and The Bedding Group in Illinois and Minnesota; use the Therapedic Find a Store locator or call 800-314-4433, since ShopTherapedic has zero Tommy Bahama listings.
How much do they cost?
Retail ranges of $999-$2,499 (2025 markets) and $999-$2,999 (January 2026), with dealer examples from $999 for a Drift Away queen to $2,499.99 for an Ocean Ease latex king; the five current models have no published prices.
What warranty comes with them?
A limited warranty keyed to the law-tag code, with terms of 1 to 25 years and prorated or non-prorated periods depending on the code; keep the receipt and law tag, and note that code lists for the current models are Not published as of Sept 2026.
Is there a sleep trial?
Not brand-wide; trials are retailer-set, with about 30 nights common at stores carrying the line, so confirm return, exchange, and fee terms in writing.
What technology defines the line?
Cooling covers with recycled-performance fibers, TheraCool gel foams, MemoryTouch memory foam, TheraWrap 5-zone wrapped coils with edge support, DuraCoil Mini micro-coils, the patented iFlex quilt with over 2,040 micro coils, and GOTS certified organic wool on the Ultimate Tight Top.
