The 30-Second Verdict: Quick Summary

Wright Bedding (WRIGHT) is a New York direct-to-consumer brand with two US-made beds. The 11 inch W1.27 is all foam and the 12 inch W2.15 is a hybrid. Prices run from $1,795 to $3,395, with queens at $2,495 and $2,695. You get a 120-night trial, free shipping and returns, and a 15-year guarantee. It suits hotel-bed fans and couples. The catches are premium pricing and delivery complaints that keep showing up in reviews.

Chapter 01

Is Wright Bedding the best mattress for you?

Good fit: sleepers who have tried a Wright bed in a partner hotel and want that plush-top, medium-firm memory-foam feel at home; couples who rate motion isolation highly (the W1.27 is the stronger of the two); side and back sleepers who want pressure relief without a sinking, stuck feeling; buyers who want one firmness decision, not a matrix - Wright sells only medium-firm and argues that suits about 90% of sleepers; made-in-USA shoppers (assembled in Georgia, Illinois and Mississippi from US foam, coils and fabric); anyone who values a long 15-year guarantee, a 120-night trial and free white-glove setup with old-mattress haul-away; adjustable-base owners; shoppers who prefer to buy direct with a phone number (800-240-5203) and a real person on the line.

Poor fit: budget shoppers - a queen is $2,495 (W1.27) or $2,695 (W2.15), well above Casper, Leesa and Tuft & Needle; stomach sleepers or anyone who needs a genuinely firm or extra-firm bed, since Wright offers no firmness options at all; hot sleepers who dislike memory foam, because both models are foam-led and several owners still report heat; heavier sleepers who want published weight ratings or a reinforced edge (Wright publishes neither, though the W2.15 coil base and edge reinforcement help); shoppers who want to try before buying in a branded store - there is no Wright-owned showroom, only two design-showroom displays and hotel rooms; anyone unwilling to risk the delivery complaints that recur across a decade of reviews; and shoppers who need the bed this week, since in-home installation can run 5-15 business days.

Wright Bedding (WRIGHT) is a New York direct-to-consumer brand selling two US-made beds: the 11 in W1.27 all-foam and the 12 in W2.15 hybrid, $1,795-$3,395 (queens $2,495/$2,695). Headline terms are a 120-night trial, free shipping and returns, and a 15-year guarantee. Best for hotel-mattress fans and couples; caveats: premium pricing and recurring delivery complaints.

Chapter 02

Comfort and firmness: which mattress fits you

Why this matters to you: Feel names are the brand's words, not measurements. Use them to shortlist two or three beds, then let your body decide.

Medium-firm is the only firmness Wright sells on either mattress, and the brand argues that is optimal for roughly 90% of sleepers. Side sleepers and anyone with hip, shoulder or back ache should start with the W1.27: it pairs a very plush top with progressively firmer base layers and near-zero motion transfer, and it is the model most often credited in reviews with reducing morning pain.

Combination and active sleepers, people who sit up to read or watch TV in bed, and anyone who wants easier movement and a firmer edge should look at the W2.15 hybrid: its pocket coils add bounce, its edge support is reinforced, and it still isolates motion well. Couples: both beds isolate motion; the W1.27 is the quieter, more classic memory-foam choice, while the W2.15 splits the difference for partners who dislike sinking.

Heavier sleepers: the W2.15's 8 in coil base and higher-density foam layers make it the more supportive pick, but Wright publishes no weight ratings, so heavy sleepers should use the 120-night trial rather than rely on guidance. Stomach sleepers: there is no firm or extra-firm option, so if you need a very firm surface, look elsewhere.

Hot sleepers: Wright markets both beds as cool - gel-infused 3Below foam in the W1.27, copper-infused foam and a thermaphase surface in the W2.15 - but hot-sleeping complaints do appear, mostly in older W1.27 reviews. Box spring, platform, slats, foundation or adjustable base all work; an empty metal frame without cross slats does not.

Which Wright Bedding feel fits you?

Weight chart not yet researched

Weight and sleep position can change how a bed feels. We have not yet checked whether Wright Bedding publishes a fit chart by body weight, so use a trial, where one is offered, to test the bed the way you sleep at home.

Four alignment checkpoints against a neutral posture line Neck Shoulders Lower back Hips level with spine sink in, no pinch no gap below no sag Straight spine line
  1. Neck: on your side, your nose should line up with the middle of your chest, not tip up or down.
  2. Shoulders: your bottom shoulder should sink in. Tingling or a numb arm means the bed is too firm for you.
  3. Lower back: on your back, slide a flat hand under your waist. A big gap means too firm; no room at all can mean too soft.
  4. Hips: ask someone to look from the side. Hips lower than shoulders means the bed is too soft for you.
Figure 2.1: Four checks to run in a store, lying still in the position you sleep in most. The store test in chapter 11 says how long to lie on each bed.

Compare the mattresses

Why this matters to you: Models from one brand can differ in feel, height and layers. Match the feel label and height to how you sleep before you compare prices.

Wright Bedding lists 2 models. Feel names are the brand's labels.

Two mattresses as of Sept 2026, both medium-firm and sold direct. (1) W1.27 Memory Foam Mattress - the original all-foam flagship, 11 in tall, four foam layers (1.5 in 4 lb 10 ILD 3Below gel-infused memory foam; 2 in 3 lb 18 ILD polymer-reinforced ZeroG foam; 1.5 in 5 lb 20 ILD polymer-reinforced ZeroG foam; 6 in 1.8 lb 30 ILD base foam), a removable zip cover with ventilated corners and a quilted top, positioned for zero motion transfer, pressure relief and a weightless feel; the site claims the 3Below layer lets it sleep three degrees cooler; weights 60-95 lb by size; $1,795 Twin, $1,895 Twin XL, $2,095 Full, $2,495 Queen, $2,995 King, $2,995 Cal King, $3,295 Split King; brand-site rating 4.8/5 from 359 reviews (333 of them 5-star). (2) W2.15 Hybrid Mattress - the newer foam-and-coil model, 12 in tall, with a 1 in copper-infused memory-foam top layer and active thermaphase cooling surface over two 1 in polymer-reinforced foam layers and an 8 in triple heat-tempered, triple-zoned pocket-coil base with reinforced edge support; three years of coil development, with a coil structure that is soft for the first 15% of compression and then progressively firmer; more bounce and easier movement than the W1.27 but still low motion transfer; weights 75-120 lb; $1,895 Twin to $3,395 Split King, Queen $2,695; brand-site rating 4.9/5 from 129 reviews (120 of them 5-star).

The brand lists two different layer stacks for the W2.15, so confirm the current build with the brand (copy says 1 in 4 lb 3Below gel foam plus 2 in 3 lb ZeroG plus 1 in 5 lb ZeroG; the spec table says 1 in 3.5 lb copper-infused plus 1 in 3 lb plus 1 in 4 lb), so confirm the current build with the brand. Both models take 10% off when bundled with a Wright bed frame or adjustable base.

No other mattresses - current or retired - are listed on the site or confirmed in press.

Mattress prices and value

Why this matters to you: A starting price can rise with size, base and delivery. Get the full price for your size in writing before you choose.

Price band $1,795-$3,395 for mattresses and $245-$3,590 for frames. W1.27 queen $2,495; W2.15 queen $2,695; Kings and Cal Kings $2,995-$3,095; Split King $3,295-$3,395. Frames and bases: American Steel Bedframe $245, Modular Foundation $295, Modular Foundation and Bed Frame Bundle $2,085, Adjustable Bed Frame $1,795, Adjustable Bed Bundle $3,590, with 10% off when a mattress and frame are bought together.

Bedding: down pillows $175, down comforter $325, down-alternative pillows $95 and comforter $185, American cotton sheet set $195 and duvet set $375, stonewashed linen sheet set $275 and duvet set $345.

Value read: Wright sits in premium direct-to-consumer territory - roughly Saatva Classic or entry Tempur-Pedic money and well above Casper, Leesa, Nectar and Tuft & Needle - but the price buys US assembly, above-average foam densities, free white-glove delivery with old-mattress removal, a 120-night trial and a 15-year guarantee.

Mattress Clarity, reviewing in 2016-2017, called it the highest-priced bed-in-a-box it had tested yet said the materials justified the price and it still undercut comparable Tempur-Pedic beds; Sleep Sherpa scored affordability 9/10 in 2019, when the bed cost far less than it does now.

Financing is through Affirm, advertised as low as 0% APR with monthly payments from $59 (sample: $83/month on $1,785 at 10% APR over 24 months); prequalification does not affect credit score. No sitewide sale or promo pricing was displayed on Sept 22, 2026, The comparison page showed both mattresses as sold out while product pages showed them available - confirm stock by phone before ordering.

Chapter 05

How well do the mattresses hold up?

Why this matters to you: A mattress is a long buy. Lean on the written warranty and real owner reports to judge how it will last.

Durability rests on the 15-year guarantee rather than on independent testing. Wright promises the mattress will not get softer or sag for 15 years and will replace it free of charge if performance changes, including sagging or indentation deeper than 0.5 in; stains and surface discoloration are excluded.

Materials support the claim on paper: 4 lb and 5 lb density memory foams in the comfort layers, 1.8 lb density base foam, and triple heat-tempered pocket coils in the W2.15 that the brand says outlast single-tempered or water-cooled coils; Wright also claims its polymer-reinforced ZeroG foam keeps a honeycomb structure that resists the compression breakdown of traditional memory foam.

No independent durability testing was found - there are no RTINGS, Sleep Foundation, NapLab or Consumer Reports test results, and Mattress Clarity's 2016-2017 note that the specs should hold up well was an inference from materials, not a test.

Owner reports are mixed: many long-term owners (2-4 years) say the bed still feels great, while a recurring minority reports dips or sagging within months to a year, mostly on the W1.27 and typically in the sleeper's usual spot; one W2.15 owner reported a dip after a year despite rotating the mattress and raised the free-replacement guarantee as a remedy.

Edge support is a known soft spot on the W1.27, with both a 2017 reviewer and recent owners noting a downward slope when sitting on the edge; the W2.15's reinforced coil edge addresses this.

Sleep trials, returns, exchanges and fees

Why this matters to you: Feel is hard to judge in a store or in a week. Know your exit plan and its cost before you pay.

Mattresses: a 120-day risk-free home trial that runs from the day of delivery. Returns and exchanges are accepted for any reason inside that window, the brand arranges pickup, shipping both ways is on Wright, and the refund is 100% of the purchase price with no fees and, in its wording, no questions asked; the process starts with an email to hello@wrightbedding.com or a call to 800-240-5203.

There is no minimum-nights requirement and no restocking fee published, and the FAQ only suggests sleeping on the bed for a couple of weeks before deciding. Bedding, sheeting and down: a 60-day risk-free trial, with new or gently used items returnable or exchangeable within 60 days of receipt. Exchanges are offered on the same terms as returns; no exchange fee is published.

Practical notes: keep the original packaging out of the way if you can, since returns are collected by the brand's delivery partners rather than shipped back by the customer, and returns may be recycled through Mattress Disposal Plus rather than resold. Nothing on the site limits the trial by location within the US and Canada.

Delivery, setup and old-mattress removal

Why this matters to you: Delivery terms decide your first week with the bed. Confirm the date, setup and old-bed removal before you pay.

Free shipping and free returns anywhere in the US and Canada, including Alaska and Hawaii, by two routes.

In-home installation (white glove): Wright ships the mattress to a local delivery team, then calls to schedule; the site gives different windows on different pages - typically within 4-9 days after purchase on the Shipping and Returns page, and 5-15 days or 5-15 business days in the FAQ, with the local team calling about 48 hours before delivery.

A two-man crew carries the mattress to the room of choice, sets it up, removes all packaging and debris, cleans up and can haul away one unwanted old mattress for recycling; in select cases returns are picked up and recycled by Mattress Disposal Plus; carriers are XPO and NVC.

Express: UPS to the door in 2-7 business days per the Shipping and Returns page (3-7 business days per the FAQ), compressed in an 18 x 18 x 45 in box; one person can usually handle it, two are recommended for stairs. Bedding ships by UPS, and when bedding is ordered with a mattress on in-home installation everything arrives together. Frames and adjustable bases are sold alongside and bundle at 10% off with a mattress.

There are no delivery fees, no haul-away fees and no membership or packaging fees published.

Typical wait: 4 to 9 days

What do the warranties cover?

Why this matters to you: A warranty is only as good as its terms. Read the written terms and use a supported base, because the wrong frame can end coverage.

Every Wright mattress carries a 15-year guarantee. Covered: any defect or deterioration that changes the mattress's performance, explicitly including sagging or indentation of more than 0.5 in, plus the brand's promise that the bed will not get softer, will not sag and will not feel different for 15 years; if it does, Wright replaces it with a new mattress free of charge. Not covered: stains and surface discolorations.

No proration schedule, deductible, shipping charge or transfer restriction is published, and no separate written warranty document was found - the terms live in the FAQ and product copy. To claim, contact hello@wrightbedding.com or 800-240-5203. Bedding and frames have their own terms, which are not published on the pages reviewed; ask before buying.

Note for comparison shoppers: this is a full-replacement guarantee rather than a typical 10-year limited warranty, but it is a brand promise with no third-party arbiter or published claims process beyond phone and email.

Review counts checked on each site · they change daily

Customer reviews and complaints

Why this matters to you: Star ratings depend on who posts and where. Read the low-star reviews for patterns, not just the average.

On-site: 4.8/5 from 359 W1.27 reviews and 4.9/5 from 129 W2.15 reviews in the brand's Yotpo widget on Sept 22, 2026 (W1.27 star split: 333 five-star, 9 four-star, 6 three-star, 6 two-star, 5 one-star; the brand quotes 93% five-star and compares it with 82% for Tempur-Pedic ProADAPT and 72% for Casper Wave).

Positive themes: hotel discovery leading to purchase, deeper and less interrupted sleep, back and hip pain easing, easy ordering, helpful phone and email staff, fast refunds on returns, made-in-USA quality.

Negative themes cluster in three places: (1) delivery and scheduling - a decade of one-star and three-star reviews describe weeks of silence, missed local delivery partners, back orders taken without notice and rude handling, with the worst cluster in 2021-2023 and further delivery-delay comments as recently as mid-2026; (2) customer service responsiveness - even satisfied owners report unanswered phones, days-to-weeks email replies and no proactive order updates, though other reviews in 2025-2026 praise specific staff members for fast, generous fixes; (3) product fit and wear - too firm for some side sleepers (one 150 lb side sleeper returned the W2.15 for hip pain), dips or sagging reported by a minority, heat retention in older W1.27 reviews, initial off-gassing odor, softer edges on the W1.27, and at least one owner noting the washable top-cover zipper was moved and washing is no longer recommended.

Third-party: Sleep Sherpa scored the W1.27 9.2/10 overall (9.5 motion transfer, 9.3 softness, 9.0 off-gassing, 9.2 trial) when the review was last updated in February 2019, calling it a versatile, pressure-relieving bed that is not for firm-bed fans.

Mattress Clarity's hands-on review, last updated March 2017, gave 4.2/5 overall (comfort 4.6, materials and durability 4.6, motion transfer 4.8, return policy and warranty 4.8, support 4.2, company reputation 4.0, value 3.5, edge support 3.0) and named weak edge support as the main con. Neither review reflects the current models or prices.

No Google, Trustpilot, BBB or Amazon review profile could be located (the Sitejabber/SmartCustomer page for wrightbedding.com shows 0 reviews, and a BBB lookup returned an access error rather than a profile). The product is consistently well rated and the service failures are logistics-heavy and concentrated in specific years, so the practical risk is delivery scheduling rather than the mattress itself.

What are the mattresses made of?

Why this matters to you: Layer names say little without numbers. Ask what is inside your exact model, layer by layer.

W1.27 is an all-foam, four-layer build, 11 in tall: 1.5 in of 4 lb density, 10 ILD 3Below gel-infused memory foam; 2 in of 3 lb density, 18 ILD polymer-reinforced ZeroG foam; 1.5 in of 5 lb density, 20 ILD polymer-reinforced ZeroG foam; and a 6 in 1.8 lb density, 30 ILD base foam.

The cover is removable for cleaning, with ventilated corners and a quilted top surface, and the brand says the foam layers are crosshatch-ventilated with breathable mesh side panels.

W2.15 is a hybrid, 12 in tall: a 1 in copper-infused memory-foam top layer with an active thermaphase cooling surface, two 1 in polymer-reinforced foam transition layers, and an 8 in triple-zoned pocket-coil base with reinforced edge support; the coils are triple heat tempered and air-cooled after each temper. Neither mattress contains latex, and the site does not publish a coil count, coil gauge or fiberglass statement.

Certifications: the FAQ states the foams are verified by CertiPUR-US for content, durability and low VOC emissions; no GREENGUARD Gold, OEKO-TEX or other third-party certification was found on the site as of Sept 2026.

Origin: designed in New York; mattresses built in Georgia, Illinois and Mississippi with foam poured and cut on site, coils made in Missouri and fabric woven in North Carolina (the FAQ names Coweta County, Georgia and Rockingham County, North Carolina for the W1.27); down bedding is filled and finished in Southern Ohio from US Great Lakes white duck down with a 400 thread count Supima cotton shell.

Both mattresses work on any firm, flat surface - platform, slats, foundation, box spring or adjustable base - but not an empty metal frame without cross slats.

Where can you try and buy the mattresses?

Why this matters to you: Where you buy sets the price, the trial and who handles problems. Check the seller's terms, not just the brand's.

Direct-to-consumer only. Buy online at wrightbedding.com, by phone at 800-240-5203 or by email at hello@wrightbedding.com; bedding, frames and adjustable bases ship from the same store.

Try in person: the showroom page (titled Manhattan Showroom at 188 Lafayette, the brand's historic address) currently lists two retail design showrooms - Uhuru Design, 74 Franklin Street, New York, NY 10013, and The Future Perfect in Los Angeles, at a private address reached by appointment through thefutureperfect.com/los_angeles.

Chapter 12

Wright Bedding vs. other mattress brands

Why this matters to you: A fair comparison needs the same facts for both beds. Line up price, trial and warranty for each one.

Versus Tempur-Pedic: Wright openly targets it, claiming 93% five-star reviews against 82% for Tempur-Pedic ProADAPT and pricing a queen at $2,495 versus typically $3,000+ for comparable Tempur memory foam; Tempur still wins on brand recognition, retail trialability and a broader firmness range, while Wright wins on price, trial length (120 nights vs 90) and warranty (15 years vs 10).

Versus Saatva: Saatva offers three firmness options, coil-on-coil construction, showrooms and free white-glove delivery at a similar or lower queen price ($1,000-$2,000 range for the Classic), and it is the better pick for anyone who needs firm or plush rather than medium-firm; Wright counters with denser all-foam comfort layers, zero motion transfer on the W1.27 and its hotel channel.

Versus Casper, Leesa, Tuft & Needle and Nectar: these undercut Wright substantially (queens roughly $1,000-$1,800) with easier returns and broader retail distribution, but their foam densities and US content are generally lower; Wright's pitch is a luxury feel at roughly half of Tempur-Pedic pricing, and Mattress Clarity's hands-on review agreed the materials justified the premium.

Versus Sleep Number and other air beds: Wright has no firmness adjustability, no app and no pump, but also no electronics to fail, and reviewers who left Sleep Number for Wright cited motion transfer as the reason. Versus Avocado and other organic brands: Wright makes no organic or natural-material claims - its story is US manufacturing, CertiPUR-US foam and sleep-data testing - so organic shoppers should look elsewhere.

Versus Saatva's or Tempur's retail model: Wright is online-first with no owned showrooms, only two design-showroom displays and about 21 partner hotels, which is its biggest structural weakness for try-before-you-buy shoppers. Bottom line: Wright competes on ratings, motion isolation and a long guarantee, and loses on firmness choice, showroom access and distribution.

Chapter 13

How we research and report

This page is an early draft built from our research sheet for Wright Bedding. We read the brand's own pages and public listings, and we do not test mattresses ourselves. Fields marked "Not yet researched" are still being checked.

Researched 22 September 2026.

Official sources came first: the homepage, the mattress comparison page, both product pages, the FAQ, Shipping and Returns, the refund policy, the financing page, the showroom and hotel-partner pages and the Our Story page; every price here was checked against the brand's store on 22 September 2026, and review counts and star distributions come from the brand's own review system rather than from the on-page marketing claim of 93% five-star.

Third-party sources: Sleep Sherpa's W1.27 review (last updated February 2019, scored 9.2/10), Mattress Clarity's hands-on review (last updated March 2017, scored 4.2/5, edge support 3/5), the Sitejabber/SmartCustomer page for wrightbedding.com (0 reviews), and we found no BBB, Trustpilot, RTINGS, Sleep Foundation, NapLab or Consumer Reports profile or test as of Sept 2026.

Brand claims - 93% five-star, 51 more minutes of deep sleep, three degrees cooler, highest-rated mattress in the US, industry-leading guarantee, no sag for 15 years - are labelled as brand-reported throughout and are not independently verified.

Gaps are recorded rather than filled: no coil count or gauge, no weight or sleeper-weight ratings, no independent durability or lab testing, no third-party review newer than 2019, no published frame or bedding warranty terms, and no sibling-brand or factory disclosure.

Known inconsistencies on the brand site: the comparison page shows both mattresses as Sold out while the product pages sell them normally; the W2.15 is described with two different foam layer stacks on its own page; the brand's founding is dated 2013 on Our Story and launched 2014 in the FAQ; delivery windows are quoted as both 4-9 and 5-15 days and as both 2-7 and 3-7 business days; and the historic Manhattan showroom at 188 Lafayette Street still appears in the showroom page title while the live listing shows two partner showrooms instead.

Buying and policies

How many mattresses does Wright sell and what do they cost?

Two, both medium-firm and direct-only - the 11 in W1.27 all-foam from $1,795 (Twin) to $3,295 (Split King), queen $2,495, and the 12 in W2.15 hybrid from $1,895 to $3,395, queen $2,695; Affirm financing is advertised from as low as $59 per month and 0% APR.

What are the trial and warranty terms?

A 120-night home trial from delivery with 100% refunds, free pickup and no fees for any reason, and a 15-year guarantee against defects or deterioration including sagging or indentation over 0.5 in, excluding stains and surface discoloration, with free replacement.

Can I try one in a store?

Not in a Wright-owned showroom - the brand closed that model and now displays beds at Uhuru Design, 74 Franklin Street, New York, and The Future Perfect in Los Angeles by appointment, and lists about 21 partner hotels where guests can sleep on one, from The High Line Hotel and Sheraton Times Square in New York to Urban Cowboy in Nashville.

How fast is delivery and does someone set it up?

Shipping is free in the US and Canada; UPS box delivery runs 2-7 business days (the FAQ says 3-7) and free in-home installation with a two-man team, setup, packaging removal and one old-mattress haul-away runs roughly 4-9 days to 5-15 business days depending on area.

Who is the W2.15 hybrid for versus the W1.27?

The W1.27 suits side sleepers, pain sufferers and couples who want maximum motion isolation and a plush-then-supportive memory-foam feel; the W2.15 adds pocket coils, bounce and reinforced edge support for active and combination sleepers, people who sit up in bed or want easier movement, and heavier sleepers who need more support.

What do owners complain about most?

Delivery and scheduling failures and slow customer-service replies dominate the low-star reviews across a decade, with a minority reporting sagging or dips, a too-firm feel for some side sleepers, heat, initial odor and soft edges on the W1.27; the mattress itself rates 4.8/5 from 359 W1.27 reviews and 4.9/5 from 129 W2.15 reviews.

Where is it made and what is it certified for?

Designed in New York and built in the USA - mattresses assembled in Georgia, Illinois and Mississippi, foam poured and cut on site, coils from Missouri and fabric from North Carolina - with CertiPUR-US certified foams per the FAQ; no organic, GREENGUARD or OEKO-TEX certifications are claimed.

Should I be worried about stock?

The comparison page listed both mattresses as Sold out on 22 September 2026 while the product pages and storefront feed showed both as purchasable, so call 800-240-5203 to confirm current lead times before ordering.
